I don’t know how you get any driving done between Abigail’s adorableness and Caroline being an absolutely beautiful growing little lady with a terrific personality. These girls are going to have some tales to tell.
Epic spots Guys beautiful coastline and mountain ranges with million dollar views, what a life! Kevin stop going to that barber they missed a spot in the back of your head... lol Thanks for sharing...
I JUST STUMBLED onto your page. So nice to see pictures of my old stomping grounds! Disappointed someone tried to start a fire and re-leaved you were there to put it out! Growing up Sunset Beach was my favorite to hike, climb and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed our coast! And the garbage and carelessness on the southern coastline is definitely an issue and one reason why I carry more than one way to extinguish fires (i.e. extinguishers, shovels, and soon a CO2 tank) and also contractor type garbage bags to pick up the trash.
Loved it here! As to trash, it's the same anywhere near populated areas. Never actual campers but locals who get lost on the way to a proper dump. In the remote areas, we see cleaner and cleaner spots every year
@@bajasoobnut Many campgrounds (esp state/county) will have full/most amenities tent campers receive in their first come/first served walk/ride in campsites, which are almost always discounted down to 5-15 USD/night. We've parked our rigs, left a couple ppl to sleep in the trucks, and sent the rest off on their bikes to go do tents/showers/charge devices.
@@russellzauner my experience is when the sign is put out there it means it's full full and remember, this was back in July at the peak of tourist season
Enjoyed this episode. I hope you and your family are doing well. I meet you at Overland East. We ate dinner together Thursday evening and I gave you a lb of Bass Farm Sausage on Saturday. I hope y'all enjoyed the sausage. Best to you and your family, cutawhiskie ramblings
THANK YOU for taking the time to put out that fire. We had an incident like that on one of our trips in Southern Oregon due to people’s carelessness, but we didn’t get lucky putting it out.. turned into a massive wildfire. We love seeing you guys enjoy our beautiful state of Oregon! It can be tricky finding camp over off the coast.
@LifestyleOverland he came in and said you are going to be famous. I asked how is that and he told me all about it. Donnie and I have shared it on Facebook too. So hopefully we can get you more subscribers along the way that way too.
You’d be surprised how many times I’ve come across this type of fire in my travels. I try to conserve the fire extinguishers unless I need to because I only carry 3 one small one in the trailer and two in the rig, but a shovel and dirt can do quite a bit to slowing down the progress of the fire. At least you guys have a radio so you can radio into the forest service and give them a location for this type of event.
I lived in Western Washington for 20 years. It’s such a beautiful part of the world. One thing I could never understand, and still don’t, is all the garbage on our public lands. The make shift shooting ranges are the worst. Not only the trash left behind, but the destruction of the land. It’s sad and infuriating all at once. Never seen anything like it elsewhere in the country. The old saying is true- Trash leaves trash.
Great meeting you at Overland Expo East! I commented on your height and tried to leave you at peace while you hunted for your food among the food trucks 😊. Can't wait for new videos with the new trailer. Glad you made it out East, it was a nice surprise to see you guys...safe travels!
In Oregon I found the best place to find good camp spots. It’s just keep going uphill everything that is downhill or easily accessible has usually been over used and as you noted overrun with garbage.
glad you made it to the oregon coast, enjoy all the videos, north of where you were is worse for dispersed camping, you cant do much on the central oregon coast for camping unless its a park.
I've been to a few of the popular Beautiful beaches in Oregon, more times than I can count to Cannon Beach with my family but have yet to venture out to Coos Bay...thought about it many times driving down I-5 seeing the exit for it lol

Two Bad Habits. Epic Campsites and being a light snob. Driving like a made man to capture the perfect sunset and then missing the good campsite after it gets too dark find one. So my new rule is campsite location an hour before sunset. Mark it, snag it, leave a chair. And go from there. I have Gaia, Avenza, Google and Garmin to mix and match. No one system is best maybe someday.
I am curious about your Gaia issues, I've been using it for about 5-6 years now and haven't really ran into any issues. Of course I don't travel nearly as abroad as you, mostly Idaho, but do you have a better explanation of what I should watch out for? Also, love your adventures, thanks for keeping me entertained
off subject question - have you used reg gas most of the time in your 460? Many years ago I went to a town named Taft, OR, I think 3 towns got combined and renamed Oceanside just north of Depoe Bay were you in this area?
Also glad to see you not only made it to my home state but also my home county.. Would love to share my epic camp spot, not on the coast but in between I 5 and Rouge River Wilderness... Next time, cause I know you will be back 😊
I found that using my phone was a better flow since I could carry with me on hikes, snap a quick campsite photo as a waypoint, and lay in bed while routing the next leg.
@@LifestyleOverland I used tab for navigation. It stays in the car solely for navigation, I do have my phone. it's only that I prefer the larger screen for navigation(tab). @LifestyleOverland, Kevin, I am a long time subscriber, and I am still subscribed, but I am not receiving new video notifications. IDK why, but apparently it's been that way for months. This video popped-up at the end of another video I was watching. YT is a huge PITA anymore. Now even subscribed followers are not getting notifications. I figured you were on a hiatus due to Abigail being so young, and that y'all just wanted to spend time together as a family away from the camera.
We've had a TON of people tell us the same thing. The algorithm is king now and people apparently can't decide for themselves what they want to watch. I have channels I'm subscribed to as well with notifications engaged and still don't get them. It's becoming harder and harder with this gig.
Sadly, there’s only a couple of places where you can actually even drive onto the beach left in Oregon, SandLake recreational area being the main one but there’s a couple smaller beaches that you can access. When I was a kid back in the 70s we used to be able to camp on the beach anywhere we want to drive our cars or dune buggies up and down them without any kind of interference by locked gates or no driving signs. It sad this is where we are today. Don’t have access to the beaches our tax dollars pay for.
That spot on the sand is full of druggies, homeless and people who will shoot at you or rob you. It’s closed for a couple years now to camping. Don’t know where you got the bad info of best spot on the WC 😂

Always run premium though many say it's not needed. With increased power and MPG it's only about .01 cents per mile more.
