- Solo expedition into the west desert of Utah in an attempt to escape the insane snowfall we've seen in the higher elevations. Thankfully, I was able to link up a few routes but ended up in some hot water to top the day off.

Have you ever soaked in a hot spring?
Yep, in Utah!
Nope just the 72° springs in Florida
Yes... several. Very relaxing and a blast when it is snowing wile you soak.
yep! muir trail ranch🤠
Not yet! It’s on the bucket list for this year.
Great to see some proper snow 'ventures! Can't wait for next week!
This is absolutely wild to me! As soon as you said west desert then showed that old structure I recognized it! I was just there this past weekend. Found these hot springs on Gaia actually last year and finally had a chance to check them out. The original path I took had 8-10 inches of snow on it so I had to backtrack since I didn't have another friend with to get me out if I got stuck. But the next route was a muddy mess but able to do in 2wd. Hot springs were crowded and not peaceful compared to what you had. Very jealous of your experience with them! Congrats!
The shot of Abigail eye to eye with mom is awsome !
Congratulations on your new baby, I so happy for you guys!
Great start to the season!
Thanks!!
and the first snow fell in the Crimea
Kevin congratulations to you and your family, wow, season 6. Great footage of the hotsprings
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks!
English style breakfast 😂luv it
interesting use of giant Lego's
They're stacking blocks for leveling. So handy!
How many miles does silver have these days? A friend's 2002 4Runner just hit 390,000 miles.
The look on your face going down that muddy road was classic. Somewhere between concern and terror. But the time in the hot spring, I’m, sure, took all that concern away. Another great video. thank you.
What a cutie, congratulations on your newest family member. As always another fabulous video
Thank you so much!
Congrats man. Very happy for you with your new addition.
Thanks, Dave!
I just found your channel. Great video. I'll have to go watch your earlier content now.
You sure get in some scarey places ! Hot spring nice tho . You and Sarah have a sweet baby girl ! Caroline must be so happy to be a big sister .
great intro photography
Didn't how many with y for trip if only ..,. not back 👏🤞👍
One of the best episodes!
Thank you!
BTW they make quick release dryer hose clamps. There are also ones with thumbscrews. No need to whip out a screwdriver.
Congratulations on the new baby - it will be a new experience traveling with a little one on the adventures. What is the folding table you're using at you camp site?
Thanks! That's the King camp table. It's "ok" but the brackets are getting super loose after less than a year. Don't recommend it. Plus, it was missing a bag to carry it in.
@@LifestyleOverland Too bad, liked the look of it. Thinking now that I could do better with a Costco folding table, might be a bit heavier, but at least if it breaks, I can return it😉
One summer night at some hot springs in the Gila (you’ve been to them) I soaked in the hot spring as a watched a lightning storm over the top of the canyon. Was a totally spiritual experience for me and I’ll never forget it.
Hey I am your fan!!! I want said to you all !! Congratulations new family again have wonderful time !!
Thank you so much!!
Man likes his bacon! I saw that Silver turned over 196000 miles. Wow. Those weren't shopping mall or expressway miles. Testimony to Toyota 4R quality.
Looked like a perfect opportunity for a cold brew and a can of Vienna weenies. Lol good times
Haha, I have done that before too. Nothing like something hot in this weather though 👍
Love the sound of coyotes in the morning!
Congrats on the new blessing!
Much love, and God bless to your family.
Where can I order one of the Lifestyle Overland sticker's to put on my Tesla?
Jk...
On my 4runner:)
Congratulations to the family for the new member!🎉🎉🎉
How did the guy plowing even know where the road was?
You can just make out the shape in most places
Excellent vid Kevin! I think my cardiologist went bonkers on the eggs frying in that bacon grease! But so good! I was highly negligent in my last comment where I didn't congratulate SARAH. Who by the way did the heavy lifting for the youngling. You did fine young lady!
for the hot spring i was wonder how do you know if they are not toxic like the one in yellostone ... for exemple acic lake as much as battery could be ??
I wondered when pour-over coffee would happen. Easy clean up and tastes great! Congrats on the little one!
Congrats on the new family member!
Great video! Utah landscape is unforgiving that’s for sure. You don’t want to get into the wrong mud out there.
As the wise travelers say:
- Take lots of food, go far, far away and eat it all there :)) 👍🏻
Congratulations on your new Overland Crewmember!!! How do you level your rig for camping. I see the leveling blocks but do you just use a common portable bubble type level or one that is attached or fixed to your vehicle? Or do you just eyeball it? Thanks.
LOL. Those Coyote's sounded like a car alarm to me at first.....
Another great video and cool location. I'm always keeping an eye out for your rigs while I'm out and about here in Utah, but I've been seeking warmth down south rather than snow camping lately.
Congratulations. For ur new born baby girl 👧 ❤️❤️❤️
i going there this april from 1 to 15 i was wonder what the temp plz near by moab or zion
Congratulations 👏🎉 on your new baby...met you and the fam at the overland expo...you folks are genuinely the real deal...glad you roam this rock and thank you for sharing the adventures.
Thank you so much!! It was great meeting you too!
Put a board under the entire heater. It will slow down the rate it melts the snow & when it does melt the snow, it will melt it evenly so your heater won't get lopsided. I guess spending a month in the arctic circle for a month with the military did teach me something.
Watching your videos and the dogs came running when they heard the 'Yodies" howling!
i'm so proud of you, maybe next time you can preheat your paper filter first
for brew your coffee
I love that you unashamedly boiled the eggs in bacon grease.
Lifestyle BROverland.
Oh yeah desert mud, went up one side of a hill in 2 wh, had to engage 4 wh and add power going down the other side.
I wonder if Utah will green up this summer with all the snow melt.
Man, even solo you just crank out the best content. Cheers!
HI KEVIN 👋

Thanks, David!
I also live in utah. i'm not much a fan of the snow, but i'm so glad we got it.
i like the no music i like to here the truck and the trail
Hey Kevin. Nice video as always. Wondering if you and the family will be at Overland West in Flagstaff in May?
Planning on it! 👍
Cool video. Love UT. My wife and I go every chance we get since we live in NV. Haven’t had a chance to snow camp yet. Diesel heater on our bucket list.
I slip into eastern NV on this run and it's incredible too!
Why do you park your car on those blocks ? I’ve seen other people do the same, no idea why.
They're leveling blocks 👍
Congrats on the new season! Nothing wrong with getting back out there either (we love the content😂)
I’m hoping the rumor I heard is true…. A lil collab with MSO…. ❤❤❤
Did you try to find those coyotes with that drone? That would have been some cool footage.
I agree, but I try and keep clear of wildlife with the drone if I know they're there. Don't want to mess up their hunt 👍
What size Bluetti do you have in this video...i have an EB150 and it only has a 9 volt output...have seen others try to power up a diesel heater, (10 volts needed), with the EB150 and it didnt have enough voltage for startup...enjoy watching your adventures...travel safely and be ever VIGILANT!...

👍🏕👋
oh WOW 👍👍
congratulations on your newest family member!!
Thank you so much 😀
Just a respectful point of information: The term elevation is mainly used when referring to points on the Earth's surface, while altitude or geopotential height is used for points above the surface, such as an aircraft in flight or a spacecraft in orbit, and depth is used for points below the surface. Every time you say “altitude” I think maybe “Silver” is actually going to fly😁 Thanks for the great content, safe travels-
Hmm, I can see your point. Yet why is it called altitude sickness and not elevation sickness? Or, "altitude settings" on some devices? Webster says they're interchangeable as synonyms whereas wikipedia takes your stance.. 🤔 English is fun. I pity anyone having to learn it. 😂
@@LifestyleOverland I know, right? I probably key in more to it, since I am a private pilot. Altitude sickness was a common occurrence in the crews of B-17 aircraft flying high altitudes with no pressurized cabin. In modern phraseology, many more words are used interchangeably than ever before. Thank’s for the response! We so enjoy your content, and congratulations on the new addition 😃
Season six is off to a very great start!
Thanks for riding along!
Nice one, I'm finally getting the rest of my upgrades for my 4Runner, Victory 4x4 bumpers front and back and rocksliders with 2 swingouts on the rear bumper plus I'm undecided on the winch but it will have one. Once my upgrades are in I won't mind getting into some harder terrain when I'm alone, there are lots of places I would like to go but want a bit more chance of getting myself out of trouble should I get into any.
I chuckled at this episode's play on words. 😂 I thought it was going to end up bad, but ended up peaceful and relaxing. That's the kinda hot water I need to end up in. Great video - as always!
Congratulations on your new arrival 😊
Thank you!! 😊
Heading to Utah this coming Sunday. Changed my plans and will just drive on through to AZ. Thanks for the video and the heads-up on the snow levels!
Awesome video lifestyle. Can’t wait to make it out west in my jeep one day. Stuck on the south Eastern coast of the Carolina’s for now
Not yet but definitely on the list next time we head out west. Switch out those hose clamps for the wingnut style so you can just tighten up by hand no screwdriver needed.
Nice video Kevin! Keep up the great vids! Give my love to the ladies❣️
Got enough oil in there for those eggs !
That's not oil... that's bacon grease. Nectar of the gods. Infuser of deliciousness.
I'll bet you were ready for a solo trip at this point. Been there done that. Three times. Great Video as always.
Congratulations on your newborn there's a lot of fun in front of you
Where do you go next? The Lace Curtain.
6:44 The 'morse code' of the wild. Very cool.
Great video!
Enjoy ur self brother
Yea baby, ❄️❄️❄️🥶🤩⭐️😎
I used to watch you guys all the time and then as time went on I just couldn't figure how you could afford all these expensive trucks and what you're doing. But then even now you're really scraping the barrel. You got to go back to clickbait desert snow solo deep desert snow lands me in hot water. Yeah okay that to me that's clickbait didn't even watch your video. I haven't watched you guys in years. 👎👎
If you didn't watch it, then you don't get the title. If you're wondering how we afford the rigs, then you're missing the bigger story. 🤷
Sorry to tell you man, but cooking isn't a talent that you have. Nice video.
Oh yeah? How do you figure that? Tasted delicious to me 🤷
@@LifestyleOverland lol. Keep doing your thing.
Cracks me up how people make videos of a drive to camp then just to eat and people watch this
I need to make a channel 🎉
What were you hoping for instead?
@@LifestyleOverland never had any hopes 🤷🏼♀️
Come on out to California. The deserts east of San Diego are perfect. but I know you have to be near home for the new addition. Keep it in mind for next year. I'd be glad to show you around. Hopefully me having a Frontier wouldn't stop you. I could bring a couple friends who have some very capable 4Runners.
Nothing like eggs fried in bacon grease. Sooooo good. Then you counter act it with a little yogurt. Yeah right. We'll need about a week's worth of yogurt to clear out the grease from our veins and arteries.
I gotta give you props. I think you have perfected the zoom/pan as the vehicle goes by. There are others that do it pretty good. But there are so many that try and it's just not a smooth, or not as well done, or just too much/too little. Art.
I have been watching your channel ever since Ronny Dahl was over there and fairdinkum I don't think I've seen such a concerned face on you as when driving through that slush.
