- I finally got back out to do a night of stealth camping in a very exposed spot. There was heavy traffic and very minimal cover, but I managed to camp underneath two trees for the night and remained hidden from view. It's still winter so it was a bit chilly, but sitting still really got me feeling cold. It was a fun trip nonetheless! Once I crawled into my sleeping bag it got quite warm and aside from the traffic noise and bumpy ground it was a great sleep!

My growing suspension is that everyone in Canada is a Camping with Steve fan, and would never dream of interrupting one of his adventures.

I’m from Grande Prairie/Edmonton Alberta and to me Steve is like a moose or a bear, I’d appreciate seeing him but I don’t want to interfere in any way.
Walk into my post office. Hear a woman talking about getting something liquid to relieve her stress after dinner. So I said "Step Two" out loud. She spun around and said, "You watch camping with Steve too?" Greetings From WA, USA.

This even works in germany. Bought some beer at the gasstation last year and the cashier saw my camper outside, smiled and said "ah, step two"
Imagine being at a rest stop late at night and hearing someone talking in the bushes , you walk towards the sound and when you move the tree branches out of the way you find a lone gentleman eating fondue in front of a camera

Steve I know when you implied that you weren't a valuable member of society (6:40) it was just meant as a bit of self deprecating humor and not meant to be taken seriously, but if at any time you do feel like that, even a bit, I want you to know that the content you make actually holds a lot of meaning to most of us here. For me at least, I haven't been able to go camping in at least 4 years, and I used to go with family all the time. I miss the time I used to spend with family dearly, but when I watch your videos I get a bit of that feeling of loving being outdoors, even if it's just from a moment of escapism. Please know that, even though you don't know the millions of people who watch your content, that it still means tons to use that you upload and share something so wonderful with the world.

If you don’t feel comfortable then I apologize and you don’t have to answer. I have always wondered how homeless people have either phones or computers to go on the internet regularly? Is it just finding local starbucks etc and using free power and wifi? I know homeless doesn’t necessarily mean on the streets homeless but the way you mentioned that Steve’s tactics have helped you out a lot made me assume that there are a decent number of nights spent “roughing it” if you will.
@@43labontepetty when I was homeless I used to access the internet via the local public library as they had computers you could use for free. Also had an old Galaxy S4 that I recharged every time I was at the library along with some spare batteries in case I had to go a few days without charging.

I love the barebones camp. Not even an air mat, just strait on the ground in a sleeping bag. LIKE A CHAMP!!!
Oh gawd, yes. I need an airmatress, foam topper, 1000 thread count sheets bottom and top and pillowcases, 2 pillows 1 body and 1 fluffy foldable for side sleeping, fluffy comforter, throw rug for the tent floor, iced water on nightstand, marine battery powering my cpap machine, bluetooth speaker for sleeping frequencies, and a cooler with backup ice water just in case. I am a 38 year old gay male total princess so I guess that does matter for the analytical comparison.

I used to do primitive camping and backpacking as a teenager.
When I'm out and about I look for places that could be a good spot to stealth camp.
I have some health issues and often cant sleep. After trying for hours this video did it for me. And Im not saying its boring at all.. I think I've seen every video of this channel that came out in the past 3-4 years. These videos just feel comfortable. (and yes, Im rewatching paying attention now lol)

Steve you help us all remember the pure joy and freedom and finding the ultimate fort spot as kid- hiding out there and feeling happiness in being all alone. I have started car camping and finding your videos answers so many simple questions about gear, Set up etc. Life can be rough- nature and solitude help us refuel.

It is a pretty warm year this year but he definitely does deserve the props. I know where he is in this video and most years I have been in those parts this time of year he would not be nearly so comfortable.
