Stealth Camping Beside Fire Station

- I brought out my small camo tent and snuck into the woods beside a small fire hall to camp for the night. It was an interesting #camping location with some excitement throughout the night. It was a bit noisy, but it was much better than camping under a bridge. #Hunkerdown!

Hearing “Hey guys welcome to camping with Steve” always makes my day, hope you’re doing well Steve!
Same
Same here.
I agree.
@@kevink8072 probably a weird comparison but Steve’s like a fresh cup of coffee in the morning
Ditto!!
Beautiful station! I’ve been a career firefighter for 17 yrs in Iowa and I can’t stress to you enough the level of “I don’t give a crap” fire fighters would have of someone camping next to the station. Also, if they did find you, they might ask if you want crash inside or at least bring you out a warm meal. The biggest risk you had there was a “warm bed and a full tummy”! Cheers brother!
True dat.!
God bless you Firefighters!! Heroes all!!!
This is Canada, I think they go “by the book”….a little more than we do.🥴
Firemen r a brotherhood like no other. Thanku for standing the line in all kinds of weather
Id love to be in the room if they were doing TIC training/testing and just look over and see Steves thermal readings in the bushes. Itd definitely get one of those reactions at least where i am
Gotta love Steve's well-practiced "Stealthy Beer Crack", meanwhile a bit later he has the emergency despatch radio chatter blaring out of the bushes on his phone! lol
I am disabled and housebound due to my disability. As a result, I kind of live vicariously through other people's adventures...and *Steve's* camping adventures are *so zen,* that they are my absolute favorite!
Thank you, Steve!
I have MS, and I'm doing my bucket list while I still can - there's a reasonable chance I'll end up doing the same as you in the future.
So true! I'm in a similar boat. And when Steve said the site smelled like ya just set up a Christmas tree, it made my day!
Steve is the Bob Ross for Camping 😊
@TheAussieRepairGuy
So sorry to hear that. I have severe fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis...along with a few other health conditions. It's not easy...and I know that MS is difficult, as my aunt had it.
I pray God's strength and peace guide you.
@tammyjantzen9004
So sorry. It is indeed a challenge. I am grateful that I have the internet...I imagine it would be even more difficult without it.
In these crazy times, Steve is a safe place for all of us.
Love this. Couldn't have said it better myself.
True
Amen❤
Lol i was thinking that in my mind anytime in can just "go camping with Steve 🍻"
Considering Steve's often creative technique for starting campfires... Close proximity to a fire hall isn't a bad idea at all! 🤣
Lol
If something goes wrong in lighting your fire, what better place to be
@@CraigGrant-sh3in You'll have a full fire brigade with horns and everything driving 30 feet to your rescue. 😁🚨
Right? That's just what I thought 🤔😂
Lol
Seeing Steve genuinely smile again makes me so happy
Steve saying that an accidental fire by a Fire Station being 'innappropriate', while it is probably the best place to accidentally start a fire, is exactly the type of content that we love
Tbf I don’t think the firemen will appreciate getting out of bed to go 100yards away from the station to put out Steve’s dinner 😂
@@bengrocott1265 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Steve is definitely not the brightest
Not true.your watching no

I'm a widower with a severely autistic son I discovered your channel a month ago and at the end of the day I move on to a step 2 and watch Steve. For a guy with no life for a few minutes I'm having a beer with a brother. Your genuine man.
As someone with a mental disability, I have trouble in public and feel so much better after an episode of Camping with Steve. Thank you for what you do my friend.
Wishing you all the best mate.
@@jbmorgan57 I don't know if that message was for me or @jimbolton2363. But if so, thank you
What a fine friend to have. Found him during lockdown and binged. He’s a true lifesaver. Much love to you and happy holidays brother bear. ❤
Wish you health my man! Best wishes. Never give up. I know what iam saying. Trust me.
Nothing cures a bad day like going camping with Steve!
Exactly, I've forgotten what rubbish I've dealt with today at last!!
I hope you have a great day tomorrow!
Def a lot of myThursday nights have been made better by Steve
As I live in a world of sleep deprivation with baby number 2 I’m so glad I can relax with camping with Steve at 4am. Seriously your videos have been amazing for keeping my sanity Thanks Steve!
Como eu te compreendo caro irmão de paternidade 😂
Congratulations, it gets better by 6 months the kids sleep for longer. Hang in there
@@cac8793Thanks! I remember from the first one lol it just a long 6 months.
Hang in there
@@LouisianaPyro93 Thanks I appreciate that!
Steve, it doesn't matter if it's stealth or not. It's you that makes this channel work. As long as you take us with you, we're happy!
Agreed, even if you ended up showing us awesome non stealth camping spots that is non adventurous folks could go to as a “certified Steve approved”
I just learned a new word "Stealth Crack" while I'm Beering.
Love watching all of your adventures!
Yes yes yes!
Agreed 1 million percent
Stealth precooking his food in a children's playground so as not to use an open flame while stealth camping behind a fire station is the most Steve Wallis thing i could possibly imagine. Love ya Steve!
It’s 4D Steve
@@MattAllmand that's what i thought!
I wonder how many drivers go by, watch you creeping into the bushes and think “ ah there goes Steve “ ❤
Great video 😊
I loved your outro on this video. No blatant trespassing and no camping with permission. Always living in the gray zone. Keep making great videos Steve!
As a retired firefighter I approve of this.
i am former firefighter as well i approve of this video right up until he said the “Q” word in proximity to the fire hall……
@@joshwesaw yep the Q word makes a firefighters skin crawl. Lol
@@joshwesaw Now I had to watch again to find out about the "Q" word. Think I found it. He mentions it twice, does he?
Quiet please
I’m a nurse who used to work nights. Hate that word!
Always a wonderful day when we get to go camping with Steve!
And a miserable day when we’re not :(
I've had a rough couple of months Steve, and the true peace your videos bring me is invaluable. When I get to sit on the deck, have a lil bit of green and watch you camp and cook soothes my soul in ways very few things can.
Thank you as always, hope you're doing well
We love a lil bit of green with Steve too!
Hoping times get better for you.
Keep your head up!
@@ness4019 Thanks ya'll - things are getting better, and looking forward to the upcoming Summer holidays. (Christmas in December here in New Zealand) much love :)
Be well, friend!
I’ve been watching Steve go on a multitude of camping trips for the past few years, but the number one influence he’s had on me and my friends is the “stealth crack”
Whenever we enjoy canned step-two’s we always compete with each other for the “stealthiest crack”
I just can't imagine anyone unsubbing from this channel. It's always oddly entertaining
This feels like a real old school camping with Steve video!
Unsubscribe?! Are you kidding?! I'm a 75 year old woman and love my regular doses of camping with Steve!
I've been here as a loyal fan for many years. Since the early boondocking days. At this point, it almost feels like I'm watching a good friend. I've watched your rise to the top. You've shown us your real life, the good, the bad, the happy and the sad. We love you for it, Steve.
I love the way Steve talks about the fire department ❤ the respect shown by him is something i aspire to be like and overall his attitude and outlook on life is very warm and positive much love, L.P
This morning while exiting my dentist's office I expressed that I was off to find my next adventure. A patient seated in the waiting room laughed out loud in astonishment. The element of seeking adventure in this life is what Camping With Steve exemplifies.
Thanks, Steve. Lets push Steve over 2 million subscribers!! I will NEVER unsubscribe from this channel!!
He truly is a master of disguises. From the business man outfit, to the construction worker to the new hat and jacket! Steve, love watching your videos and you truly are one of the most down to Earth people I've ever seen. Great content as always!
It takes a very special person to make others feel happy on a daily basis. Thank you Steve for all that you do for others just by existing
How lucky can Steve get, camping on a fragrant bed of pine, needles, and it didn’t even rain! If anyone feels stressed, just go camping with Steve. Relaxing is guaranteed.
It's more of a peeping Tom creep
There was the small shower when he was eating his sandwich
BTW Steve, the Fern and Cedar pub/brewing has great burgers to go along with that step two. Very honoured to have you stealthing in the neighbourhood!
I love how he respects, and helps to pick up after dirty, polluting and negligent individuals. It's quite apparent that he enjoys what he does, and we are grateful that he shares his advise and experiences with us.
He's had a rough ride, but has persevered, and enlightens and invites us into his journey.
Thank you, Steve
Just hearing those sirens sends shivers down my spine. Lost my apartment just last September 21st out here in NB Canada due to fire and water damage.
Lost pretty much everything!
Gotta respect those firefighters!!! Thank you all for all the hard work and risking your lives to help others in such a dangerous situation.
Being the daughter of a fire Chief and his twin brother of our home town, I respect your not making a fire in the woods, God bless all firefighters everywhere, enjoyed your video and you are welcome to camp in my backyard woods anytime, that's if you ever travel to the USA. Always camp clean and leave no trace.
Steve thank you for being you and giving us part of your life and entering all of us. Greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve its my first time commenting. I just wanted to say that ive been watching alot of your channel lately and you have a way of making me feel like im there camping with you. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me some much needed company. Please dont stop your adventures are come home to the east coast soon. I know some spots you would love
Wish I could Hunker Down with Steve in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
So many stealthy places to camp ⛺️
I fall asleep every night to Camping with Steve
Absolute legend
Steve, tip for things to be a little hotter with those thermos, before you start cooking boil water and fill them up with the boiling water and let them sit closed while you cook. Having the inside of the Thermos being hot when you put the food in helps keep it hot rather than warm.
Pro tip from a travel nurse: Preheat the thermos with hot or boiling water before you put your hot food/drink in or if you want cold precool with ice before putting the cold food/drink in.
Much love to Steve for keeping it real. 💙 Another tip: but the sleeping bag in a tumble dryer with a couple of tennis balls to get the fluff back.
yes, I was going to comment that
Steve could make that a fun video.
Right on Steve. Thanks for being here with us and letting us be here with you. Life is good. 🍻
I’m so grateful to you for finding places to camp. Where it is never matters to me, I always enjoy your videos! Your honor and respect to those firefighters was much appreciated.
The thing I’ve come to realize about Camping With Steve is, it’s the awesome concepts and out of the box ideas that attract the subscriber, but it’s the charm and sterling personality of the host that maintains the subscriber. As always it was a great episode, and cheers Steve🍻
too true
Couldn't agree more my friend
Ahhhh-gree
Steve I must say you have one of the most wholesome and down to earth communities on RUclips. It speaks volumes to who you are as man to be able to cultivate such a thing.
its a bastion of wholesomeness in a brutal world.
He's one of the most wholesome down to Earth RUclipsr's out there. When he was looking at his car near the end, I thought if he got a ticket he would probably just say "Oh, looks like I got a ticket, must have parked in the wrong place. But that's okay, it happens." anyone else would be pissed off, but I can't imagine Steve being anything but totally understanding if he got a parking ticket. Honestly the only thing I can imagine him being angry about would be if he caught someone else littering or being careless with a fire.
Agreed
Beautiful comment…so true.
I love us all
Steve, I can be grumpy, angry, happy, tired or something else: you always make my day. Your channel is number 1 in my list of favorite channels. Irma from the Netherlands
I wouldn't camp like that which is why I watch ''Camping with Steve''. I love his sense of humor, and he's a great person. Did you ever think of camping on a golf course? - out of season, of course. There's always trees surrounding a gold course and there are even streams under small bridges. Have a great day! 🙂
If you camped on a golf course in Australia you'd be sharing it with kangaroos! They love them!
If he camped on a golf course in Florida he'd be sharing it with alligators! lol! If he camped on a golf course around where I live, he'd be sharing it with foxes 🙂Which is nice. @@sonyavincent7450

Steve thanks for your comments about the vol fire department I have been a volunteer FF for over 30 years and is amazing how people can come together from all walks of life and get along so well we would give our lives to save another life. If the rest of America had the same attitude we would be so much better off.
Hang tough brother I wish you all the very best and love watching while you hang out it inspires me to get up and go
Such a simple concept of camping in odd places, but I love it. No matter what you do on this channel your humor and demeanor are the best part. Keep up the good work!!
Camping with Steve helped me in some really tough times - went through a horrible injury that left me with a concussion and messed up my balance for weeks - it was hard to just get up in the mornings and do daily tasks the anxiety from the dizzy spell off the concussion was way worse than anything I’ve had to deal with - I found Steve’s channel and I was finally able to clear my head at night and go to bed without meds - it was a struggle but being with Steve on his journeys felt wholesome and it helped me mend my circadian rhythms from the disruption the concussion made - just wanted to say thanks for letting us all tag along on your journey friend - I don’t think anyone would get mad at you if they ever found you camping - too nice of a guy it’s contagious - keep on the up and up Steve camp your heart out - you’re a strong solid dude
Hey Steve, I’m a fire chief in North Carolina. I have watched every video you’ve ever made and of course I as excited to see you beside a fire “Hall”. Love your content!
Was inspired by Steve many years ago, not by the stealth camping (although that's the awesome bit), but the respect for the places he has. I always take a bag with me on walks to pick up any rubbish I see. Much Love Steve
We love watching your videos!! My four year old Daughter loves it too. She’s always asks before bed “can we watch camping with Steve tonight “…thanks for all you do!
Hmm, I dunno about the rest of your viewers, but I really wouldn't mind a revisit to types of stealth-camping spots you've already done, like doing more road-side sign camping, or highway junctions, or even weird public infrastructure like under bridges, storm-drains, and "welcome to x" signs, I just like watching you creatively avoid onlookers and hunkering down in general! Cheers!!
Doesn't matter if its a stealth camp. Unusual camp or improvised experiments it's always a pleasure Steve
Thanks for your adventures, Steve! I'm disabled, so I don't get to get out nearly as much as I'd like to, so your videos always help to fill that void. Safe travels, and keep doing what you do!
I'm a long time camper who can't do that anymore, so it's great when you mention things like the scent of the pines. It puts me right back into my camping memories as I remember that smell. Thanks for another great video.
Been watching Steve for. A long time. The fact he gets 200k views and 25k likes in 8 hours of video launch is pretty mind blowing from when I started watching.
Thanks for sticking with me, I know it’s been ups and downs. Cheers!
Dude same! He came up years ago as a random recommendation and quickly become my home away from home when I moved into the city for the first time. So stoked to see how successful he’s become.
Unfortunately, he needs more subscribers to monetize his videos so he gets an income. So- share his videos!
Pretty certain 1.46 million subscribers qaulifies Steve for monetization. You think he's been doing this for free all these years 😂😂😂@@Kiki-D-Kimono
I love watching these at night right before bed, I always have a good night sleep after. Thank you Steve, I really need these sometimes.
I love how Steve makes small adventures out of everyday places. Looks fun and relaxing to me.

Love your videos, Steve !
Hi Steve, I just wanted to say that even though i'm completely not into stealth camping, I watch your videos because of how a wholesome person you are, and I love your positivity. It's often just your smile that can boost my mood up. I appreciate you and your videos, and I wish only the best things for you 😁
Steve: Wears a new hat and jacket in order to not be spotted/outed by locals that know his antics
Also Steve: still obviously filming himself in public, blatantly obvious that its still Steve 😅

Thursday evening, and I’m camping with Steve, what a lovely day! Thank you for taking us Steve !
Another Steve video, means today is going to be a good day! Thanks for all you do Steve, you have no idea how much you have inspired me to do my own stealth camping down here in NZ.
A video from Steve is the best way to start the weekend!
Watching your videos makes me look forward to the summer and taking my kiddos camping once again. I appreciate that you help to beautify where you camp. "Leave only footprints, take only memories."

We have been Blessed. I wish we could return to Steve a little of the joy that he gives to us.
The man is even being stealthy on the way to a camp now. Never change Steve 😂
As a former firefighter I loved the video! I always enjoy the conversations you have with us as your audience. I used to camp 100+ nights yearly and hope to again, but in the meantime I enjoy tagging along with your adventures. Thanks for sharing with us.
Imagine dispatch coming through the scanner and saying “report of a suspicious man in the woods beside the fire station.” 😂. At least Steve would know, and could get out! Awesome idea and camp. 👍🏻

Great spot Steve !! This was a fun one. Keep on keepin on . That french dip sammich made from pre warmed ingredients in the thermos’ was BRILLIANT. You should make that a regular part of some of the videos.
It don't matter what you're doing. Steve, as long as I get to see you enjoy yourself. That makes my day keep doing what you do brother love you Steve.
So Steve has to now be stealth to go stealth camping. New level of hunkering down! Step 2s all around! Thanks Steve for keeping it entertaining!
A. Au jus in a thermos is a stroke of genius!
B. Steve. You could sit in a McDonald’s and talk about wood working and it would be every bit as enthralling as the roundabout stealth camp
C. You make Thursdays better with whatever you choose to gift us with!
Hi Steve, I use those thermoses for hot water for ichiban or hot chocolate when I go skiing. The key is to "prime" them with hot water to prepare them. Boil some water, fill right top even the threads. Dump that water after a minute and put in your real food. It will stay hot twice as long.
Creeping through the wooded area talking about batteries for a smoke alarm has absolutely cracked me up. Steve you are hilarious I bloody love you my friend 😂❤🇬🇧
Stevie nowadays need a second layer of "stealthiness", not just camping, bit also be stealth enough so fans don't recognize him while walking 😂
Turned on my TV, put on RUclips and there I see "camping with Steve"...that made my day! You NEVER fail to put out great videos. Absolutely love watching what's up your sleeve every week. You always leave me with a smile. So many of us absolutely love you, how can you possibly read all of these comments?👍♥️😁
Thanks Steve. I'm not watching every single one of your videos, but when I catch them, then I really enjoy them.

Imagine looking out the window of that fire station and seeing a grown man in all black with a camera meandering around in the woods lol. All love Steve, glad you seem to be doing well sir.
I thought this one was pretty cool. Not a lot of risk, but when the lights and sirens went off, it was perfect. I hope there's a firefighter from that station that subscribes. It'll make their day. Thanks Steve.
Not sure why, but seeing other people go help other people just…it’s like I’m in an onion cutting factory. You hit it on the head, man. It’s so honorable and selfless. I can only aspire to be one tenth as much.
Throw that sleeping bag in a clothes dryer with NO heat. Tumble it for a while and it should bounce back. Thanks for your videos, Steve. They make my day!
