After watching the heartbreaking video about losing your wife, I had to come watch this video again. This is my favorite video of yours. I think in a live stream Beautiful Wife said it was hers, too. I'm watching in her honor tonight, Steve. My prayers are with you.

Yeah. I watch a number of bushcraft and expert-level camping channels that depict camping from a very advanced view, canoeing through very remote Canadian lakes for a week and such, but Steve presents camping in a way that is more likely what the average guy will experience. Just a normal guy who likes to camp on the weekend. It's nice.
Steve's what you get when the average handyfella watches Joe Robinet and gets inspired, but then realizes there's no way they're gonna sleep on sticks and leaves when they have a perfectly good shower curtain and some old curtain rods laying around the shed.
Steve, I love how you are so diligent in picking up other people's trash. That's my biggest pet peeve. I'm a fisherman. I'm constantly picking up discarded fishing line. I've actually made signs on my local lakes and ponds begging people to police their line. Not only does it hurt the wildlife and damage our fisheries, but it makes us all look bad. Thanks for your efforts and commitment to conservation
nobody cares bc the population is exploding meaning being green is worthless. just another family that will have 200 dollar electric bills made from coal and they will buy a tesla thinking they are green. Really no point to doing it if more and more people grow and aren't interested in sustainable ways of life. I quit going out of my way, doesn't even save much money compared to the 3 million dollar house that makes my property taxes higher. But now I live in a van bc of all that and just shit on their streets like they shit on mine.

I can't believe this channel blew up so much! Hadn't seen any of your videos in years. Congrats man, keep up the hard work (if you want to call it that, looks like a ton of fun to me lol)!
Can't beat the sound of wind and rain on a tent, and no shortage of either here in the UK. I must get over to Canada one day and try camping out in one of your winters.
Yeah, it actually made me so feel so good to learn that there's a popular campTuber who agrees with me that gazebos can totally be repurposed for overnight tenting! And here I thought I was the only schmuck (well, mostly just broke) doing that, hahahha! 😂
Sometime this winter a place in Newfoundland received 30 inches of snowfall in 24 hours. Imagine that! Not surprisingly that broke the record for a one day total.
I lost my husband 21 years ago and we loved camplng our neighbors laughed at us because all the kids in the neighborhood wanted to camp with us so my husband set up our pop-up in the yard and they all camped with us !
I need to do more stuff like this. I love the calm before a large storm, and really like it during the storm, especially if I’m camping. Something about being out in nature when it’s throwing all the stuff most people hate at you. Almost therapeutic it is.
If he says “hunkering down” one more time
I’ve got bad news for you.

The wonderful adventures of Steve, beautiful wife and crazy neighbour.
Hey Steve, thanks for posting one from the Wet Coast. I think I remember that storm. Power went out for 4 hours. Had to hunker down with the wood stove going, a large bottle of Step 2 vino, and CBC on the radio. Would camp in a tent in that any time, though.
I can't believe this channel blew up so much! Hadn't seen any of your videos in years. Congrats man, keep up the hard work (if you want to call it that, looks like a ton of fun to me lol)!
Greetings from the Netherlands again Steve. This is some great ASMR camping with that roaring ocean.
I'm a new convert to your videos, but I am hooked! Because of you, I have a camping trip planned with my old man next weekend. Keep it up, Steve!
How did it go?
Can't beat the sound of wind and rain on a tent, and no shortage of either here in the UK. I must get over to Canada one day and try camping out in one of your winters.
Other outdoor youtubers: down jacket, tactical jacket, high speed low drag tent
Steve: Hoodie and a gazebo.
I don't think that supports an assumption of intelligence.
I go with what I'm comfortable in as well as what works best, turns out that its surplus gear..
and cast iron for the sherpas to haul
Yeah, it actually made me so feel so good to learn that there's a popular campTuber who agrees with me that gazebos can totally be repurposed for overnight tenting! And here I thought I was the only schmuck (well, mostly just broke) doing that, hahahha! 😂
Full size propane stove
An electric heater
And much more
Weatherman... we have a tornado, hurricane and 6 feet of snow coming.
Steve...wifey, hold my beer. We are going camping. ⛺️
Did you mean hold my Step 2?
Hell yeah lady wouldnt u
That’s how Steve is gonna go, hold my beer and watch this!
That's Beautiful Wifey to you!
Sometime this winter a place in Newfoundland received 30 inches of snowfall in 24 hours. Imagine that! Not surprisingly that broke the record for a one day total.
My absolute favorite video on the channel as it combines two of my favorite things, storms and beaches!!!!
I love it your wife will go with you but not want to be videoed; and you respect that. You'd rather have her with you...good marriage.
Of course ! Steve and Co are class acts
Gag
just for camping with him... that amount of times... speak for itself.
I dunno. He sleeps outside an awful lot.
@@machinenkanone9358 Don't worry. I love roughing it too. Thanks for supporting Steve.
If your wife ever changes her mind, we would love to meet her! I know I would at least.
Love from Calgary. 🥳🥳
Wife here: Just saw this comment. Thank you for the sweet words. Love back at you. Thanks so much for supporting Steve!
The only thing missing is one eyed Willie's pirate ship sailing off in the distance, beautiful location. All the best from Scotland🍻
Love the Goonies connect!
How many eyes do you think a willie has?! All the best from... Scotland ;)
I lost my husband 21 years ago and we loved camplng our neighbors laughed at us because all the kids in the neighborhood wanted to camp with us so my husband set up our pop-up in the yard and they all camped with us !
A dear memory i would say. Thank you for sharing it!
I'm living vicariously through you, I love storms and camping in the middle of one like that would be the best sleep of my life
Camping with Steve early today🏕, I like this. 🤙
I like watching your videos as a fellow Albertan because it feels like I'm just camping with one of my buddies.
Watching camping with Steve, while camping down here in Florida. Got my step 2 well underway. Thanks Steve!
honest my heart kinda broke when he said the internet can be a mean place sometimes :/.
Steve’s just such a pure guy! Touches the soul to tear him say that
Yeah I thought the same. Ouch 😓
You can actually see his wife in the one episode with the bears
@@uknownunknown9051 you sure can. I noticed that. In the car you can see her face
L
You should try stealth camping in another persons' home.
"Ok, now that we've set up camp in this person's bathroom, it's time for step two." *Cracks beer*
LOL
@@MetsMan26 hahaha
Under the stairs. LoL
#squatting with Steve!
I love these. Storm camping is my favorite thing to watch, not so much to camp in though 😂
Love your content!
I need to do more stuff like this. I love the calm before a large storm, and really like it during the storm, especially if I’m camping. Something about being out in nature when it’s throwing all the stuff most people hate at you. Almost therapeutic it is.
“We are hunkering down like we’ve never hunkered down before” 😂 LEGEND.
Grow up pal
jay #1 what’s your problem there bud? You obviously didn’t complete step 1... like what are you saying?
100th like FeelsGoodMan
Hunker down and keep posting Steve I’m 14 years all and I love the videos and the cooking you do
Thats a man who respect nature. Everytime I see trash at camp or hiking, i pick it up. LEAVE NO TRACE, FOLKS!
