I can't believe people call this "bad weather" or say "it's ugly out there"when it's raining this is the best thing ever. The sounds of the rain drops hitting the ground and the thunder and lightning mixed together, the glossy shine the rain gives everything, the coolness in the air, the smell of everything after? This is the most beautiful weather!
@@lacyc376 I've done that(well, with building bricks, not rocks), we would just have a bbq during the hotter hours. It's not ideal but manageable. Meanwhile, when it's storming you slip all over the place and your gloves and hands get torn to bits.

When I was little I used to daydream about being outside in a rainstorm, curled up in a sleeping bag in a big clear tent. Videos like this bring back that feeling of coziness.
My memories of camping Come right back up gearing this, being in the RV with my parents and brothers, laying in our bunk beds, listening to the rain falling on the skylight Windows and the RV roof. Hi guys ! Well to me these sounds make me feel alive and help me breathing . I’m dealing with anxiety attacts and I can’t sleep at night. So when I’m in desperate I wear my headphones and start listening to this . So after a while it calms me, I stop thinking and I fall asleep ! Thought I’d share with you ✌🏼
I used to have brutal panic attacks, lasting for several hours, sometimes, and I would, irrationally, of course, often think I might be about to have a stroke or die from them. The irony of that is that I had 2 strokes, due to a near fatal stabbing injury, and the panic attacks started awhile afterwards. One of my doctors gave me a list of things to do to fight the attacks, and aside from the slow, deep breaths, what worked best for me was to get away from all humans, turn out the lights, and get music or a movie going that predominantly only had positive associations to me, personally. But that was before any of these videos or the lovely ASMR girls' videos existed. I rarely have the panic attacks, anymore, thank God, but videos such as this are certainly a godsend. Hope you get past your anxiety situation, soon.
I had Seasonal Anxiety disorder for 35 yrs. , I pulled the trigger halfway. I asked God , what is wrong? He said, " You need some sun". I went for 1 hr., I felt alot better , the first time. I got TAN, I had no Anxiety or depression , was really outgoing, and could talk to the hottest woman . It was a sport for a while:) There are 5 systems in our bodies that work off the sun, it's like we are part plant.

Sleeping out in the tent in the backyard in the 70's in the old canvas tent. The rain would start and I would sleep like a baby. To this day I will go to bed and pull that out of my memory bank. Love this.

I'm a Wisconsinite, love my winters but didn't spend years in a tent in winter but do feel the same about the stagnant air, I sleep with window partially open in winter. If I didn't have to worry about getting shot in my own back yard I probably would break out the tent.

This has honestly cured my insomnia which I started struggling with 3or4 years ago! Never had problems in the past but it was so frustrating....I sleep 5+ hours at a stretch now which may not seem like a lot but it's huge for me!

I actually experienced this! It was the evening and I was camping and inside my tent when there was a thunderstorm. It was very exciting... It was so windy that the chairs that were outside of the camper near us almost flew into our tent but luckily the owners collected them before that happened.
That’s a fascinating story. Have you thought of selling the movie rights? It’s got everything. Tense drama. Perilous danger. Romance. Climate change message. And you say the chairs almost crashed into the tent??!! WOW!!!!! I’d go see that movie in a heartbeat!! There’s all kind of opportunities for merchandising, too. Tents. Camping chairs. Sleeping bags. I don’t feel you’ve exploited the full potential of this experience. Next time you’re camping in a thunderstorm, try standing OUTSIDE the tent. Holding something long and pointy. And made of metal.
I was a boy scout, and, as I remember it, the magic of a rainy night in a tent happened inside the tent. Not outside. Just something to think about. I do like the video.
I spent the first half of the 60's stationed in Germany, of which 5 to 6 months of the year were spent in a tent. You see I am not unfamiliar with the sound of rain on a tent. It was relaxing then, and I still find it so! But my idea of camping now is Holiday Inn.... no more tents....EVER!

Dear sleepy reader, tonight i shall tell you a story. There once was an old man, a gray-haired, long-bearded old man. He liked the simple life he lived as a drifter, taking with him only what he could carry. He enjoyed this life more than any other, and he smiled as he looked to the sky, realizing he was lucky today. Clouds had come, and they had come to stay that night. So, he walked up a path through a forest, slowly, methodically, to the place he would stay that night. Right below the beautiful clouds. As he walked, he became calmer and calmer, the knowledge of what he would soon experience again giving him more happiness than he could ever wish for. He reached his destination, a clearing through which the path he walked ran. He took off his heavy pack, his shoulders relaxing now that they had no heavy load to carry. He began to pitch his tent. Right below the beautiful clouds. It took him some time to set up his tent. Minutes, hours, it didnt matter to him. He put it together slowly and carefully, making sure that it all fit together tightly. He secured it to the ground the best he could, and he was satisfied. He walked a short distance away to look at his little tent in the clearing. Right below the beautiful clouds. It was the tail end of twilight now, the last rays of sunlight dissapearing from the horizon. He climbed in his tent, hauling his pack with him, and zipped it closed. He pulled out a small lantern and a book, lit it and began reading. It had been an hour or 2 before he finally heard the noise that he was waiting for. The thing that made him feel so lucky when he looked to the sky earlier that day. The thing that inspired him to pitch his tent in the clearing. Drip...drop...drip...drop...drip And as he felt his body relax and his mind clear, the noise quickened in frequency. Drip,drop,drip,drop,drip,drop,drip Finally, minutes later, it had built into the downpour he so loved. That beautiful noise washed away all his stress, all the tension in his muscles, all the strain from his eyes. Leaning over to his pack, he put back his book, making sure to mark the page. He then turned off his lantern, and layed down on the floor of his tent. He watched for a few moments as the sky lit up with lightning, hearing the pitter-patter of the downpour intermingled with the roar of the thunder. His eyes felt heavy. His body felt like it had melted into the softest of beds possible. His mind was perfectly clear. His eyes began to close. His body relaxed even further. His breathing slowed to a gentle, eased pattern. And, to the pitter patter of the rain and the roar of thunder he fell, at last, perfectly asleep. Under the beautiful clouds. Dear sleepy reader, i hope that you've enjoyed this story by your fellow nightime listener Tsar, but more importantly i hope you attempt to similarly do as the old man did. Turn the rain noises up to a comfortable level, adjust any fans in the room to a comfortable setting, grab your most comfortable blanket, and finally get comfortable in wherever you plan to sleep. I love to walk in the rain also listening to the wind and rain makes me feel an inner peace but the thunder scares me terribly.i put it down to my mother telling me as a young child that , that was god being angry.
I hate hearing this when camping because then you know that’s it’s gonna be absolutely freezing in the morning and the sides of the tent are gonna be heavily condensates with freezing water drops

I recall being in my late 20’s and helping run a motorcycle gang, attending a rally. I was exhausted, having worked late and having to go to bed at 4am, waking at 8am to load my camping gear. At 10:30am I was practically falling asleep as the club drank beers in the on site pub. The sky was bruised, so I gently warned everyone to pitch their tents. Just as I put the last tent peg in the soil, the skies erupted and forked lighting lit the grounds. I remember collapsing in my small expedition tent and the rain drops hammering a staccato on the fly sheet as the thunder roiled. I drifted off into one of the more pleasant sleeps I had ever had, knowing that the weather was set to change and soon I would be spending a long weekend partying and riding my motorcycle with my buddies. When I am often troubled, I listen to this gorgeous recording and imagine I am safe and content in that field.
I love sleeping to this, but it brings back memories from my childhood of scrambling to the car at 2am to hide out from a sudden thunderstorm. Our tent was too small and apparently not waterproof. 😂 I miss those summer camping trips.

Hi guys ! Well to me these sounds make me feel alive and help me breathing . I’m dealing with anxiety attacts and I can’t sleep at night. So when I’m in desperate I wear my headphones and start listening to this . So after a while it calms me, I stop thinking and I fall asleep ! Thought I’d share with you ✌🏼

I used to have brutal panic attacks, lasting for several hours, sometimes, and I would, irrationally, of course, often think I might be about to have a stroke or die from them. The irony of that is that I had 2 strokes, due to a near fatal stabbing injury, and the panic attacks started awhile afterwards. One of my doctors gave me a list of things to do to fight the attacks, and aside from the slow, deep breaths, what worked best for me was to get away from all humans, turn out the lights, and get music or a movie going that predominantly only had positive associations to me, personally. But that was before any of these videos or the lovely ASMR girls' videos existed. I rarely have the panic attacks, anymore, thank God, but videos such as this are certainly a godsend. Hope you get past your anxiety situation, soon.
I had Seasonal Anxiety disorder for 35 yrs. , I pulled the trigger halfway.
I asked God , what is wrong? He said,
" You need some sun". I went for 1 hr., I felt alot better , the first time. I got TAN, I had no Anxiety or depression , was really outgoing, and could talk to the hottest woman . It was a sport for a while:) There are 5 systems in our bodies that work off the sun, it's like we are part plant.
I think this is going to be my third year of listening to this video, this has helped me with my sleep so much that know I can’t even sleep without it. thank you so much for making this video and I hope it helps you too 💖

I actually experienced this! It was the evening and I was camping and inside my tent when there was a thunderstorm. It was very exciting... It was so windy that the chairs that were outside of the camper near us almost flew into our tent but luckily the owners collected them before that happened.
I was camping on the harricana river just south of James bay when a big storm hit our site at night and it was the most amazing experience

I was a boy scout, and, as I remember it, the magic of a rainy night in a tent happened inside the tent. Not outside. Just something to think about. I do like the video.
I spent the first half of the 60's stationed in Germany, of which 5 to 6 months of the year were spent in a tent.
You see I am not unfamiliar with the sound of rain on a tent.
It was relaxing then, and I still find it so!
But my idea of camping now is Holiday Inn.... no more tents....EVER!
I can relate:) l slept in a tent 5 years, l miss the fresh air while l sleep, but my bed was always warm and comfortable:)

Dear sleepy reader, tonight i shall tell you a story.
There once was an old man, a gray-haired, long-bearded old man. He liked the simple life he lived as a drifter, taking with him only what he could carry. He enjoyed this life more than any other, and he smiled as he looked to the sky, realizing he was lucky today.
Clouds had come, and they had come to stay that night.
So, he walked up a path through a forest, slowly, methodically, to the place he would stay that night.
Right below the beautiful clouds.
As he walked, he became calmer and calmer, the knowledge of what he would soon experience again giving him more happiness than he could ever wish for.
He reached his destination, a clearing through which the path he walked ran. He took off his heavy pack, his shoulders relaxing now that they had no heavy load to carry. He began to pitch his tent.
Right below the beautiful clouds.
It took him some time to set up his tent. Minutes, hours, it didnt matter to him. He put it together slowly and carefully, making sure that it all fit together tightly. He secured it to the ground the best he could, and he was satisfied. He walked a short distance away to look at his little tent in the clearing.

It was the tail end of twilight now, the last rays of sunlight dissapearing from the horizon. He climbed in his tent, hauling his pack with him, and zipped it closed. He pulled out a small lantern and a book, lit it and began reading.
It had been an hour or 2 before he finally heard the noise that he was waiting for. The thing that made him feel so lucky when he looked to the sky earlier that day. The thing that inspired him to pitch his tent in the clearing.
Drip...drop...drip...drop...drip
And as he felt his body relax and his mind clear, the noise quickened in frequency.
Drip,drop,drip,drop,drip,drop,drip
Finally, minutes later, it had built into the downpour he so loved. That beautiful noise washed away all his stress, all the tension in his muscles, all the strain from his eyes.
Leaning over to his pack, he put back his book, making sure to mark the page.
He then turned off his lantern, and layed down on the floor of his tent.
He watched for a few moments as the sky lit up with lightning, hearing the pitter-patter of the downpour intermingled with the roar of the thunder.
His eyes felt heavy. His body felt like it had melted into the softest of beds possible. His mind was perfectly clear.
His eyes began to close.
His body relaxed even further.
His breathing slowed to a gentle, eased pattern.
And, to the pitter patter of the rain and the roar of thunder he fell, at last, perfectly asleep.
Under the beautiful clouds.
Dear sleepy reader, i hope that you've enjoyed this story by your fellow nightime listener Tsar, but more importantly i hope you attempt to similarly do as the old man did.
Turn the rain noises up to a comfortable level, adjust any fans in the room to a comfortable setting, grab your most comfortable blanket, and finally get comfortable in wherever you plan to sleep.
Let your eyes get heavy.
Let your body relax
Let your mind clear
Let your breathing become relaxed
And finally, fall into that well deserved rest.

I love to walk in the rain also listening to the wind and rain makes me feel an inner peace but the thunder scares me terribly.i put it down to my mother telling me as a young child that , that was god being angry.

I hate hearing this when camping because then you know that’s it’s gonna be absolutely freezing in the morning and the sides of the tent are gonna be heavily condensates with freezing water drops

I recall being in my late 20’s and helping run a motorcycle gang, attending a rally. I was exhausted, having worked late and having to go to bed at 4am, waking at 8am to load my camping gear.
At 10:30am I was practically falling asleep as the club drank beers in the on site pub. The sky was bruised, so I gently warned everyone to pitch their tents. Just as I put the last tent peg in the soil, the skies erupted and forked lighting lit the grounds. I remember collapsing in my small expedition tent and the rain drops hammering a staccato on the fly sheet as the thunder roiled.
I drifted off into one of the more pleasant sleeps I had ever had, knowing that the weather was set to change and soon I would be spending a long weekend partying and riding my motorcycle with my buddies.
When I am often troubled, I listen to this gorgeous recording and imagine I am safe and content in that field.
I love sleeping to this, but it brings back memories from my childhood of scrambling to the car at 2am to hide out from a sudden thunderstorm. Our tent was too small and apparently not waterproof. 😂 I miss those summer camping trips.
