    One thing that should be noted is that the 333Mhz clock speed was already unlocked by Sony official firmware a few years after the release of the console, and some games were actually designed with this clock speed as a requirement; so some of the later games won't show any improvements because they were already pushing the chip to the max.

      this was one of the main misconceptions about the PSP. 333Mhz was not overclocking, it was simply the highest clock speed the CPU had available. Sony selected 222Mhz as a sweet spot for performance and battery life, and was the default speed of the XMB and most games. only a few of the last games like Birth by Sleep started to run on 333mhz by default.
      the ease of how the CPU could adjust its clock frequency was one of the things i liked the most, there was a MP3 Player called LightMP3 that allowed you to set the freq to 20mhz and used the dedicated media decoder of the console to play mp3, it could stretch to almost 12 hours of music when the battery only lasted 3 on the default freq.

    Here is one thing about 3d printing that's rarely mentioned: All filaments shrink during cooldown some more some less depending on which filament you use so take it in consideration while you take measurements before you 3d print if you don't want to many missprints or parts that don't fit.

    • @SaHaRaSquad
      @SaHaRaSquad 2 дня назад +4

      Maybe it's rarely mentioned because it's rarely relevant at all? I never took it into consideration and the only deviations I noticed were tolerances depending on layer thickness. If you want a perfect fit you need at least one simplified test print either way.

    • @raughboy188
      @raughboy188 День назад

      @SaHaRaSquad it should be relevant, materials when they're hot tend to spread and while they're colling down they shrink, that's something you learn in physics. I agree you need to make at least one test print but knowing how much will filament shrink after cooling down can help you sqve filament and reduce number of missprints.

    • @SaHaRaSquad

      @@raughboy188 If you're doing test prints it's completely irrelevant unless you test the fit before the part cooled down, and you wouldn't do that anyway due to potential warping.

    • @Nukle0n
      @Nukle0n День назад

      If you have your filaments tuned right they come out to the size you want every time without having to process this every time. Also most filaments do not really change size, silk PLA is one but it's easily overcome, if your parts don't fit you likely have your flow rate set too high. Also don't set esteps to get perfect extrusion, set your esteps so that when you extrude 100mm you actually extrude 100m, then tune filaments individually.

    As a long time PSP and Vita modder, I would just like to say that it is not "overclocking", it is "max clocking" - within the hardware profiles Sony designed for the PSP hardware from the get go, but encouraged developers to leave alone whenever possible to maximize battery life and keep its portable gaming design. The slight exception to this is the 500mhz unlocked profile Vita hackers found late in the game above the original 444Mhz max clock - still within the original silicon spec, but not a developer accessible performance profile. The performance profiles available to developers was increased over time; Ready At Dawn famously had asked Sony to unlock the max clock 333Mhz mode for them during God of War COO's development.

I asked his mom for my vita back and she said "he's using it right now" i was too dumbfounded to get it back until the end of the game. I got it back. You may need to rechuck bits on the drill a couple times to get them centric, as it looks like you had eccentric wobble. Fortunately, plastic is very forgiving. In the future, though, I'd suggest loosening and tightening the chuck so that when the drill is spinning you see the bit in one place rather than off-center.

    One thing though. The dual SD to memory stick cards aren't good they have a lot of problems. the single SD to memory stick are better and more reliable. Also you can charge the psp with the top USB port (it's not usb-c but still more convinient than the original charger)

    • @Xiefux
      @Xiefux 2 дня назад +1

      yeah, its a very weird situation with the sd cards and adapters. not all adapters are the same (even similar looking ones, theres a lot of fake ones) , some let you use bigger capacity sd cards. and some sd cards won't even work. out of the sd cards i have i only managed to get a 64gb one working, nothing higher. but i've heard people have gone up to 256gb

    • @xdradt8463
      @xdradt8463 2 дня назад

      @Xiefux Yeah I got lucky with my adaptor also being able to support up to 256GB but I use 64GB card since it's faster and I don't have that many PSP games I really want to play.

    This brings me back. I was waiting months for the North American release. couldn't get one from the first shipment to my area, but I got one from the second. I thought I was living in the future. Everything was so cool from the the UI to the sort of console-levels of performance. It was so premium compared to virtually any phone on the market, which is not really the case with handhelds these days. It also was the first foray into unsupervised internet for millions of 11 year old boys.

    so Zac one thing I noticed is that your speakers are completely straight at 5:26, for the best audio experience using speakers, ideally you would put the speakers towards your head to get the whole range of sound properly instead of it being cast to the sides, hence why very often studio speakers come with stands and ideally be on ear level from sitting standpoint.

    I think you should make your own wireless charger coil. Mave it round and use it as the ring around the PSP logo instead of just removing it and only having a oval shaped coil it looked a bit of a hack job where a copper round coil replacing the ring would have been way better looking.. overall it was a cool build though and the coil is my only issue with this build.

    As someone who has experience in repair of microelectronics including micro soldering and battery welding, I want a note a warning to anybody who tries to do this; when you cut the BMS off, cut one tab at a time. If you try to cut both of them, you will fry the BMS and you will probably scare the shit out of yourself as you will be bridging negative and positive lines from a battery.
    I would also like to say to the Creator, you should have folded the Samsung BMS back into place and covered with kapton tape. Not doing so increases the likelihood that the tabs will separate from the BMS due to vibration or any of that.
