So I have a 2015 4Runner and I custom built my 5X10 cargo trailer. I'm building it out to stay in the backcountry for two week stints while I work out of my trailer. So I guess being a easy-going nomadic overlander is in my future. I'm slowly modding out my 4Runner and trailer but for now it gets me where the people are not. I have been sort of binging on your channel and absolutely loving it. I was hoping to make the premier but maybe the next one. Congratulations on just breaking in Silver - here's to the next 200,000 miles 🥰😉
The ups and downs...take them with strides. It makes for a more rounded experience. Winnemucca crawled under my skin too. I'm having a tough time wrapping my head around how long I've been watching your channel...it all started when you guys sold your rv. Keep making great content 👌, I absolutely enjoy them...catch myself smiling a lot watching your journey! And congrats on silvers 200k.
I agree, trailer backing is the key to a healthy relationship! Especially when your son turns to your wife and says “ that’s not ‘driver’, it’s ‘passenger’! Also, we were traveling and dispersed camping same area around same time and detoured a few times around the fires.
That much, already!! That went so fast. A lot of souvenir in those 200k miles! I'm at 335K km (208K in US)so I know the feeling. All the souvenirs, adventure and fun. No wonder we're getting attach to those vehicles. Godspeed for another 200K.
Appreciate the candid coverage of travel - especially with a family. All part of the adventure - and many times some of the memories that last the longest! 👍
😊Pleasure is mine, Aby and Carol are awesome... mama bear's recipe book should be published soon..may God bless you alot, thanks for letting us be part of your amazing world...
Great video! Consider this if you will. You could have had a similar experience of frustration and "what next?" at a J O B. You handled it all in stride and that is AWESOME!! I know ya'll are grateful for what you have worked so hard to create here on RUclips! We, your subscribers, are grateful for the adventure, humor, and love you bring to each episode. My wife and I know the frustration of not being served in a restaurant. At least now you know where not to go on your return visit. Thank you for sharing! Be safe!
Kevin bro, from the first video I saw of you, I follow your journey and I don't miss anything inspiration for us to go further and further bro, best wishes with your projects, hugs to the family 🤝👍🇧🇷
Fantastic episode Kevin! I'm sorry you had to flee the flat fire smoke but I don't blame you. It kept us in smoke for several weeks here in the Umpqua valley. I hope you get to come back soon. Congrats to silver for giving you 200K miles of adventure. I recently turned 60K on my 2016 4Runner and still running like the day I got it. Toyota is tough for sure.
Can relate. We have a dumpster 100 yards from our bedroom window that gets emptied between 5-6 am on some Friday mornings. It is quite the alarm clock 😂
I have the same issue with my FJ and the LRA second tank. I wish there was a way to reprogram the Toyota emission testing which is the source of the problem: with the extra volume the toyota pressure pump that tests for leaks does not pump long enough to pressurize the tank, and assumes there is a leak. Opening the tank will demonstrate a vacuum most of the time; which is not an environment for a leak. Thank goodness for BlueDriver fixing this issue once per week when the tanks are less than 1/2 full.
OMG you were literally miles from my epic camp after you left the smoke and were at what I call the coner bridge outhouse. Glad you enjoyed the south fork of the Coqu ille river there, come back soon! Remember the West Bless 🙏
Hey Guys! Your in our neighborhood! So glad you got to come to the Oregon Coast on yet another amazing adventure. We are long time fans and appreciate all the time you spend out in the forest with your family. WE hope you got to check out Laird Lake while you were going up the Elk River Road. It would be perfect for you guys and no wind for Abagail. The fire was very scary for us too. Unfortunately the Elk River fire really took out one of our favorite places to go play on the river. LOVE YOU . Aaron and Mary Duncan, Gold Beach Oregon.
Seemingly unrelated error codes impacting off road capability. A Jeep thing Toyota has adopted.... I loved the trailer backing up and marriage, did that ever hit home.
Started watching fairly recently, and just started our 115k 2012 Audi Q7 TDi build(Hopefully it'll get to 200k too). It'll be more of a glamper, but with a 3" lift and on 33's. It'll still get a lot of places.
Here is to the next 100k. Next video is your service of the engine right. My Chevy S10 made 315k, the engine is still running in something else last I heard. I have the pictures of where it turned over. 200k and 300k. I miss the truck, I don't miss the upkeep.
WE WERE THERE when the flat fire started! 😳 We have a video on it on our channel. So devastating. Looking forward to Your guys’ return to our beautiful state!
@@LifestyleOverland At the Oak Flat Campground right there on the river. We went down a little ways from the crowd to set up camp for the night. We were just hanging out and actually commenting to each other about how windy it was and we heard two big explosions then saw smoke minutes after.
Sorry! I was with you live but "Da Wife" called me and needed some TLC. But, loved watching the rest of the vid. Always liked your channel. Hope your next trip is more relaxing but, it looks like you navigated the events well. Take care.
Did you keep the receipts? Can you do a video of the cost (maintenance, repairs, and the modifications) of the 4-Runner over 200,000 miles and 9 years of ownership?
Hey Kevin, Long time fan! Curious when your cute little gal was born? My wife and I recently had a little girl too and we think they're close in age. So far, awesome HARD journey!
@@LifestyleOverland It's hard to say no to the cravings box. I certainly enjoy the chalupa, cheesy gordita crunch, grilled stuffed burrito, and a classic bean burrito. I'm also waiting for the miraculous day when they bring a box of nachos back!

Emergency Bacon!!? I think that is an excellent item to add to my emergency kit. Congrats on Silver's 200K mile mark.
What I was thinking, if you have a couple of pounds of bacon who needs Taco Bell!

I absolutely love this episode! I also love the brief flash backs!! Contrast on 200K, off the beaten path, miles!

Wow. You hit the timing of the color change perfectly. This trail is definitely on my bucket list
My first comment, videography, sound track is perfect, inspiring for sure. Looking forward to future adventures.
Awesome! Thank you!
We had the same problem with forest fires near Mt Hood July 2023. They ultimately closed the forest and we "had" to go up to Mt Adams. 😁
Mt. Adam's is truly a undiscovered gem. The whole area is just georgeous!

200k miles is 322k KM holy crap that’s crazy. You have gotten your moneys worth out of that truck. Great travels hope to see ya on the trails. Cheers.
Right?! Picked her up with 14 miles on her and the rest is mostly towing and off-road use!

Must have been the 3 butte fire as you're too far north for the flat fire that the chambers family documented in their latest videos
Hmm, says Flat Fire right on my fire layer in Gaia. 🤨
@@LifestyleOverland so you were south of por orford then? Was thinking you were a bit further north
When the first said fire I thought Flat Fire. 😳 With the last episode, the were far enough south to be in the area.
@@ChambersFamilyOverland lol that was my first thought as well, I was figuring they went north not south so my bad lol
Thanks for correcting yourself when saying Nevada 😂
