I knew Jerry & although this is an interesting documentary on him, i can tell you, without a doubt there was NO "Sad Life and..." for Jerry. He NEVER felt sorry for himself. I marveled at how he absolutely lived every single day as if it were his last.

These documentaries are usually packed with non factual mumbo jumbo. It's interesting, yes. But I never knew Jerry Reed Hubbard outside of his music , movies and TV cameo's. Therefore I could never say what is factual and not. Thank you for what you've brought to light.

I myself struggled with a smoking addiction for many years. Then I was stricken with Bladder Cancer, which was largely attributed to Smoking. After a major surgery to remove my bladder and prostate (with complications), I spent almost 4 weeks in the hospital on and off of pain killers and sedation. During that time, I was able to quit and never went back. That was nearly 15 years ago, but was recently diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer. I've been treated with radiation, and it looks like I've kicked it, but who knows? Cigarettes are an insidious and long lasting health risk!

This narration is beyond ridiculous. Jerry Reed is one of my biggest inspirations beyond his music. Im a youngin so i never got to see or meet him but i have always incorporated his style into my own, in a punk band out of all genres. I did happen to play a show with his grandsons band a few years back. This man was beyond amazing and is a national treasure. SON!

There will never be another Jerry Reed. His wit, his prowess on the guitar, his real life persona wasn't an act. It's actually how he was. Jerry Reed didn't act. He played himself. When he was drafted, he went and did it. He didn't want to, but he knew he had to and like many other hardships in life, he faced it and plowed through it. Later on, he was glad he did it. He could now add another moniker to list of accomplishments ... "veteran". Either that or he didn't want to be upstaged by Elvis Presley :-) ... maybe both.

That is Very Strange because he was ALWAYS very accessible to "The People", as he would say.

I'm so tired of those false "sad and tragic" click baits and manipulated pictures. They should be sued for fake presentations.

Jerry was a Christian man with a strong believe in God there was no tragic ending. He had already quit smoking when he got emphysema later on. That picture they show on the video cover is nothing what he looked like in the end. How dumb do you think people are you can go online and see him and his last days. He was still picking and doing interviews.

Who the hell put that picture of a old man as jerry reed. That is not him and that's wrong to use. I will be engaging in legal action towards this account for using a thumbnail of a frail old man who is NOT jerry reed

How can you tell a story of such a great man and his accomplishments without mention of his best work? Half a second about East Bound and Down with no mention of his role as Cletus Snow or how he wrote one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever?? C'mon, man. No mention of how he was the only artist ever to "get one over" on Colonel Tom Parker when he didn't give up his royalties playing for Elvis on Guitar Man??? Please.
The only thing that I think Jerry missed in his career was not going fishing with Bill Dance. That would have been a great show.

So wheres the sad life? Famous, admired, talented, only 1 wife. Seems like he overcame struggles and had a great life. Taken too soon.
