Friend to many, was a living legend in his time, and a man we will always miss. Merle was one in a million. Long live the Hag

When my wife and I watch, The Voice, we notice alot a good voices but there really isn't anything that just jumps out at you. Those people are already discovered.... unless they are 13 years old. What these people will never have, unless they can write it themselves is a number one hit. That is the difference between all the genre music now and back then. If you have the talent for writing and decent/good voice. You'd be a star. You don't have to have pipes like Whitney Houston. Just write and write and write.

A stage full of legends. These folks had more talent on their worse day than any singer has today. I am getting old and was fortunate enough to be around when a lot of them were in their prime. Saw some of these folks, and many other in live shows both oversees and in the states over the decades. There are not a lot of them left to see anymore, and even fewer that are still performing...

The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour was a great show from 69 to 72. I think this was one of the last shows? Only Glen could have pulled this kind of talent together all on stage at the same time. Everyone in the music and entertainment business had great respect for him and would have done this for him in a heartbeat. Everyone here was talented as hell but I think Glen was in a class all his own. One of the original members of The Wrecking Crew. Also "One of the best-selling solo male artists in U.S. chart history, Glen Campbell released more than 70 albums, selling 50 million copies with more than 80 songs charting". Not to mention all the artists that covered his tunes.

Yep the good ole days are gone. They won't air Dukes of Hazard, no Hee Haw, Grand ole Opry, Porter,Cash, show, Even the flag was banned from the General and anyone who knows anything about the south knows the flag was all but racist. The schools took prayer out, no pledge of allegiance. And they don't teach truth in the schools, no ass whipping. And last but not least use to be you had a issue with someone you fought fist to fist. One won the other pulled his balls up and shook hands it was over, now they come back with 5 friends, weapons and try to kill you then say I kicked his ass. What happened the past 30 or so years?

@@gregoryb2999 The Confederate States of America were founded primarily in protest of ending slavery, so its flag was racist by definition.
