Don't worry about it. Glen was one of the best singers, guitar players. His music lit up the world from the 1960's on. Thanks Glen, God Bless your family. Corrected.
The Universal soldier #45 on the pop charts in 1965, By the time i get to Phoenix #26, 1967, Turn around look at me, #62 in 1961, wichita lineman #3 1968....definitely before 1970...
Boy when he started singing it blew me away. Artists today could never sound this wonderful live. This was back when 'talent' had real, true, inspiring talent.
A lot of the problem is that country music had adopted too much from the rock genre. The music is so overpowering that, even when the singer is good, it's hard to tell because you can't hear them.
So very true. The epitome of wonder American artists who were so creative and incomparable. In many ways, I think these beautiful, handsome talented artists were responsible for my sanity back home in India. A reprive from all the discipline of old school. TY for cassettes because we had no TV till the 80s.
I met both of these stars back in my radio-DJ days and they were both very impressive. Glen could sing and play with the best of them and Roger was a unique and gifted talent. I'm just glad that I was around as they recorded their great hits so I could play them on the air.
does not exist? well you are sooooooooooooooo right@!! Love this music..no one plays and sing this way....why? so much junk on the radio...and TV...bless these two....the best
+Jim Roveto That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. A few years back Toby Keith lamented that Nashville is now "VOID" of real ENTERTAINERS and guys that can write, sing, play and PERFORM! Now it's about technical gimmicks where back in the day, there was nothing up their sleeve...just talent, sweat and craft... These lived on the road... AMAZING and INSPIRING! (Glen is my musical HERO! ...And Roger Miller, is wonderful!)
Digital tech already has let loose a mass of untalented rubbish. Can't play an instrument read music or sing. I'm glad I grew up in the era of talented musicians.
When it comes to lead guitar, through most of my life I have been partial to rockers and blues men from Eric Clapton to Jack White. Yet, lately, I have been drawn to Glen Campbell. Every video I play he is more impressive than the one before. He plays at the speed of sound while maintaining style and clarity. It would not be a ridiculous statement to proclaim that he is the best guitar player of all time. He plays all genres (electric or acoustic) and I'm saddened that he will probably leave this world soon. God so fearfully and wonderfully made this man. I was always aware that he was a valid crossover star (country to pop) and I also knew that he was temporarily a Beach Boy. However, only recently have I detected how amazing this man really is and how wrong it would be if there weren't a significant movie made about him.
Glen played the Psychedelic Intro & Outro on Kenny Rogers and the first editions hit Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In. Jimi Hendrix told them it was his favorite record.
Yes, a guitar, his “whoever he’s married to at the moment” and, let’s not forget his immense talent for being just another “loud-mouth drunk” on the streets of Tuscan! icky human
Sure miss shows like this . Roger Miller was my absolute favorite . He was first to win Male Vocalist of the Year for the Country Music Association . He died to young . Sad about Glen Campbell to .
I've been fortunate to have met Mr. Glenn Campbell in Phoenix, Arizona. Inasmuch, I knew of the demons that were apart of his life. That being said, I understand. I can relate. I hope that be you have finally found the peace and happiness we all look forward to in our lives. Thank you, Mr. Campbell for your time and contribution to the human experience.
Roger did have that Gift of talent where he could pop up with a amazing song out of nowhere to the point of people wanting to be around him just to hear him saying words that went right into another song that would be a song to be more of at the moment talent.💬🚂💞
Now this is what country music is SUPPOSED to be. Just all this raw talent and two guitars. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Rest in peace, Roger and Glen. We’ll never see artists like you again.
Glen was on the Art Bell’ show years back after he overcame his struggles. A two hour interview. Glen had accepted Christ and was so humble. He shared about his life and ups and downs. Best interview of a superstar I have ever witnessed. Roger was one of a kind talent. Two Artists that reign at the top of heap in 1960s/70s Music scene. Blessed to grow up with these Two. ❤️ RIP Glen & Roger
Two very talented singers and musicians...... Gosh I miss this kind of music. Roger Miller was truly a very good singer and who could play guitar like Glen Campbell? Thanks for posting.
This is one I actually remember from my childhood, seeing it on TV. Great to see it again, if nothing else it proves my memory has not yet failed me. It was noteworthy at first viewing and is still a classic.
Wow Campbell is quite the musician! Amazing how he is able to so quickly adapt to Roger Miller's unusual style. He didn't miss a single one of Miller's unpredictable cues
Love this!!! This is the definition of pure, natural talent...quite genius if you ask me. Found myself clapping after the performance...love and miss both of these awesome men! 💜🎶💜
I grew up listening to Glen, and I even play some of his songs, but the more old videos I watch of him, the more impressed I become. He has the ability to not make mistakes, and if he does, he's so smooth. He can make anyone look good. And can play with anyone. I have to say he is probably the #1 all around entertainment talent of the last 50 years. No other person could hold the attention of an audience, play top music, and be so positive about it. Possibly Elvis, but Glen had the guitar.
Check out Bobby Darin, the voice, multi instrumentalist abd packed awhole lot into 37 years. Tgats not to say Elvis who i love and Glen who is superb don't deserve their dues. All such wonderful talent. All sadly now playing at the concert in the sky.
We have two of the greatest, right here, together. The Golden Boy, Glen. One of the greatest guitar players ever. A monster voice. Great personality and energy. Could. host a show. Act.. What couldn't he do. And then Roger Miller. A veritable genius. Master songwriter. Great entertainer. Could play drums, bass, guitar, fiddle,....hell..kazoo. And both really nice guys. I had the honor of spending a little time with both of these gentlemen. And they both were men of excellent character. Splendid behavior. RIP
Excellent. I have always loved them both. Glen always has such empathy when performing with others, I guess from all those years of being about the most requested session guitar player for all kinds of music. Here he blends in with Miller as few others could.
When Keith Urban could sit next to Glen Campbell on stage and act as humble as he did you know he was in the company of guitar greatness...Glen was one of the most gifted to ever play the guitar. Roger Miller was just hands down one of the funniest guys ever and a musical genius..
Glen and Roger are great entertainers. Glen has never given up on life and love. I have had the pleasure of meeting him at Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh, PA. We lost Roger way too early. Thank you for this great viewing.
Incredible talent from both sides, I love Rodgers ability to ad -lib alot of those breaks and Glenn seems at a home with any song he performs, brilliant stuff for sure!!!
You have to be glad we had these people in our life to make the time we were born a time of our past and present so good to enjoy what they did to have had and have in hope's that others will always keep a big part of future likeness in there country music for year's to come.🎸💕🎶🎶🎶
Roger Miller and Glen Campbell both provided the voices of Roosters in animated films (Miller voiced Alan-A-Dale in disney's ROBIN HOOD and Campbell voiced Chanticler in ROCK-A-DOODLE). I would like to see the two Roosters sing together!
Roger Miller rememinds me or Ray Stevens. They both are so funny with they songs. Love the Glen Campbell's song, Try A Littie Kindness. Goes way back with other heart warming song's!🎸💕🎶
This kind of talent is very very rare... Rodger was one of a kind, and Glen is too (different kind) check out Glen's riffing at 4:05 or so... Vince Gill or Chet Atkins would be proud of those licks.
I swear if Robin Willams could sing he'd be just like Roger---what a great song writer with a razor sharp wit---great video of him with Glen---two huge talents we surely miss these days.
What a brilliant clip of two genuine musical superstars.
They will always remembered fondly by their many fans.
Amazing sounds & so,so good.
Glen's voice I think at it's very best, amazingly talented and gifted man, love love love this version of Phoenix. He will truly be missed!
Freda Te Tai
who in their right mind would dislike this. The man is truly one of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen.
Haters gonna wander thru here and not know about the history of music.
Don't worry about it. Glen was one of the best singers, guitar players.
His music lit up the world from the 1960's on.
Thanks Glen, God Bless your family.
Corrected.
Go back farther, back to when he was playing with The Beach Boys, and the start of his solo career, 1965
Probably only musicians knew him in 1965.
They're still there, you just have to look harder.
Truth^ (original post)
A lot of the problem is that country music had adopted too much from the rock genre. The music is so overpowering that, even when the singer is good, it's hard to tell because you can't hear them.

Always some old fart saying something like this. Just enjoy the music
I met both of these stars back in my radio-DJ days and they were both very impressive. Glen could sing and play with the best of them and Roger was a unique and gifted talent. I'm just glad that I was around as they recorded their great hits so I could play them on the air.
Jim Southern wow lucky 🎸💖
WOW, IM SMILING AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME. IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS R.I.P. PRAISE AND GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST FOR YOU BOTH.
Please turn off caps lock. It indicates shouting and is rude.
Roger Miller what can I say this kind of talent does not exist today
does not exist? well you are sooooooooooooooo right@!! Love this music..no one plays and sing this way....why? so much junk on the radio...and TV...bless these two....the best
Yep, love them both.
Roger Miller champion
And I don’t think the 21st century will ever have such a talent like you Glen. RIP
This kind of raw talent just doesn't exist anymore, Glen has to be one of the most under rated guitarist that ever lived.
+Jim Roveto That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. A few years back Toby Keith lamented that Nashville is now "VOID" of real ENTERTAINERS and guys that can write, sing, play and PERFORM! +Henry Murphy
Roger Miller, there was only one and never will be another one again.
GOING to? It's been happening for many years.
Digital tech already has let loose a mass of untalented rubbish. Can't play an instrument read music or sing. I'm glad I grew up in the era of talented musicians.
Jim Roveto The matrix is causing most of the human race to lose their creative spark.
What fun! Couple of F*&ing pros having fun and ripping it up. Gotta love those country blues/jazz insiders who could REALLY play. Thanks. Thanks.

I loved Roger's humor
Glen played the Psychedelic Intro & Outro on Kenny Rogers and the first editions hit Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In. Jimi Hendrix told them it was his favorite record.
These two - wow! Nothing to compare today!
Besides being a awesome singer Glenn is a master guitarist ♪♪♫♪♪
an
@@lancebaker1374 I stand corrected "an" not "a" :-)
Folks, Glen was one of the GREAT session guitarists back in the late fifties and sixties.
Two Masters who both enjoyed their music. Glad we got to hear both of them.
You have NO idea how good this man is. He's written and sung with the best of them and has never taken the glory. He's the best!!!! Thanks Glen.
No one will ever be as smooth as Glen Campbell. Long live his music and his memory. He will be missed.
Love...there just isn't anyone like Glen....his voice is magic!!!!
I feel the same way! Are we related??
Unbelievable talent. I grew up listening to Glenn in new York in the late sixties. Always loved his music. R.i.p.
Glen Campbell could absolutely shred a guitar
Yep as well or better than anyone that ever
Lived.
That's for sure
gotta agree and i aint really a country guy even
Yes, a guitar, his “whoever he’s married to at the moment” and, let’s not forget his immense talent for being just another “loud-mouth drunk” on the streets of Tuscan! icky human
He also played a hell of a mandolin
Damn the man has talent
Two of the most musically talented people to ever walk this planet...on the same stage. R.I.P. Glen & Roger 🎸💖
Yes sir!

This was great and his voice was at the prime. He sings this song with so much feeling in his heart. He was one of the best singers of all time.
Now, who just doesn't love Roger Miller?
ltcis q
Nobody that has a brain. True talent and it’s rare today (2019).
Nobody could dislike Roger.
Roger did have that Gift of talent where he could pop up with a amazing song out of nowhere to the point of people wanting to be around him just to hear him saying words that went right into another song that would be a song to be more of at the moment talent.💬🚂💞
Man that was good. Makes me nostalgic for the Glenn Campbell show.

Glenn is so good that he can sing and play other peoples songs with them and that is a very hard thing to do. he did it often on his show
How in the world did Glenn play like that? Just unreal. Beautiful. Mr. Miller was wonderful.
He didn't show his guitar skills, very often, but Roger Miller was quite an accomplished musician.
Jimmy Webb what a great song writer. I sure miss you my brother Glen what a gift/blessing you were
Roger Miller..well I cannot add..anything more...He was TOO GREAT!!!
WOW!!! Two of my all-time favorites!! Awesome! Thanks for posting!!
Glenn was such a great singer, superb rendition.
Going to miss him when he is gone...loved watching his tv show and listening to his awesome songs.
I agree, he will be missed greatly.
Rest in peace Glen Campbell.
Glen was on the Art Bell’ show years back after he overcame his struggles. A two hour interview. Glen had accepted Christ and was so humble. He shared about his life and ups and downs. Beside Dean Martin❤ , there are 2 amazing singers and performers I love to watch and here they are together ❤❤.
This is one I actually remember from my childhood, seeing it on TV. Great to see it again, if nothing else it proves my memory has not yet failed me. It was noteworthy at first viewing and is still a classic.
Thank you for uploading this video. Everytime I listen to Mr. Campbell, my day brightens up a little bit more
Wow Campbell is quite the musician! Amazing how he is able to so quickly adapt to Roger Miller's unusual style. He didn't miss a single one of Miller's unpredictable cues

This guy is totally cool and professional. Singing, playing and adjusting his guitar at the same time. Great voice as well.
The great Glen Campbell
One of the finest country singers ever, what a great voice.
He was always happiest in the presence of other musicians--not “stars” but good ole boys who play those guitars!
What a fantastic guitarrist! Love Glenn and Mr. Roger Miller a truely genius of comedy
I grew up listening to Glen, and I even play some of his songs, but the more old videos I watch of him, the more impressed I become. Back in the days when giants truly walked among us these two were amazing and you can see that together it was magic
ROGER and GLEN wish we could have them over and over again!
We can keep this level of talent alive if we will all teach our children to plant a garden and work it....get their hands in the good Earth.
Simply amazing 🎶💌 Glen never sang a bad song 🎼👍 greatest ever talent 💝🌹 RIP GLEN🎼
Absolutely amazing guys, you will never get singers like this anymore
So good .so talented , so fun thank you Glenn and Roger
So personable, so handsome and just so talented. Will enjoy your music forever Glen.
Glen Campbell and Roger Miller two really greats. Roger is using a Kaman Ovation guitar that was made special for him.
Glen and Roger are great entertainers. Glen has never given up on life and love. I have had the pleasure of meeting him at Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh, PA. We lost Roger way too early. Thank you for this great viewing.
So much talent.......RIP Glen.....thanks for your music.
Two giants in their field. True talent. Miss em both!
God Bless Glen & Thanks for The Songs that Enriched Our Hearts 😊
Incredible talent from both sides, I love Rodgers ability to ad -lib alot of those breaks and Glenn seems at a home with any song he performs, brilliant stuff for sure!!!
Such fun between friends and such good music!
Whenever I feel sad,I listen to Roger Miller. His music always cheers me up.
Wow!!! Just wow! I will and many others will always miss you dear man....
As many times as I've heard this great song it's nice to hear Glen change it up a little.
It's hard watching Glen struggle through these days....and how we miss Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins...
You have to be glad we had these people in our life to make the time we were born a time of our past and present so good to enjoy what they did to have had and have in hope's that others will always keep a big part of future likeness in there country music for year's to come.🎸💕🎶🎶🎶

This is one of the best performances I think I've ever seen by anyone.
Heaven definitely has two greats right here
Glen Campbell was a great harmony singer
I'm going to be 74 soon n I'm grateful to be able to enjoy the beautiful music in 60s 70s n 80s perhaps some in the 90s
❤♬ Extraordinary.. both Glen & Roger! ❤👍
Roger Miller rememinds me or Ray Stevens. They both are so funny with they songs. Love the Glen Campbell's song, Try A Littie Kindness. Goes way back with other heart warming song's!🎸💕🎶

RIP Glen Campbell, thank you for all the great music and great shows
What a loss ! There will never be entertainer, musicians songwriters like that anymore. As good as it gets.
great find! thank you
I grew up listening playing and singing Glen Campbell's music'''Truly the best entertainer we will miss him"...
This is as good as it gets, miss these guys.
Pure entertainers at unmatched levels
Oh happy days!
🍺🤗cheers
This kind of talent is very very rare... Rodger was one of a kind, and Glen is too (different kind) check out Glen's riffing at 4:05 or so... Vince Gill or Chet Atkins would be proud of those licks.
There will be a great reunion of these two in Heaven tonight! Great and talented entertainers gone too soon.......rest in peace, boys!
Just about my Glen Campbell album when I was a Senior in HS. I have always enjoyed most of his music.
I had such a big CRUSH on Glen Campbell when I was about 10 years old and watched "The Glenn Campbell Hour".
Two absolute masters.
I swear if Robin Willams could sing he'd be just like Roger---what a great song writer with a razor sharp wit---great video of him with Glen---two huge talents we surely miss these days.
The pattern was thrown away when they made Glen. What a loss for the world .
I miss Glenn Campbell already. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY..... 《Ms.Ashley Campbell....》 if you read this comment. You must carry on your father's legacy.
