Mom played this song in her 90s Toyota truck without AC, in Panama during her Air Force days. Hotter than all hell but kept me comfortable with this song and a cup of ice. One of my earliest memories on this planet! Love you my mama, you’re resting in power. Wish I had the chance to share more memories together as an adult. Ya’ll love your families.. takes a moment to erase a lifetime
It's so awesome! This classic is jumping out of the closet in the year 2024 and hitting a whole brand new audience. My 20-year-old daughter asked me who this is and I had to sit her down to explain to her the legend of Milli vanilli
I still say that if Rob and Fab hadn't done these videos these songs would not have become as popular as they did. Their videos made the songs worth listening to. RIP Rob.

Same! I was born dec of 1988 so i was just an infant around that time. But we have a lot of home videos and pictures and watching the series takes me to that time and when my parents were younger 😢
Well, technically, they ARE the real Milli Vanilli - THEY were the group that was constructed as the front for the record company that engaged in the scandal. Milli Vanilli - Rob and Fab - were the ones being marketed. Whether they sang their own songs or not, the group that was being sold was THEIR FACES AND BODIES. So you can keep thinking of them as Milli Vanilli because they ARE.
I was at the Lake Compounce Amusement Park concert in Connecticut when their recording went out. They ran off the stage, and then the music started again when they were not there. Truth is we were young adults drinking beer 🍺 and didn't really notice or care. I always assumed these concerts had a backing vocal track so the performers could dance. But that was the beginning of the end of Milli Vanilli.
This guys should have been given not only a GRAMMY but an OSCAR for acting out a role like that. Great Dancers and even better actors! They just did what they were asked to do! The 2 of them deserve recognition! I don't care if they were the real singers or not! They brought life to a lame act that had catchy tunes but did not have the image to commercialize it! For that... I RESPECT THEM!!!
M. Jones It wasn't the singing, which is very ordinary, but these two with their extraordinary beauty, charisma, presence and dancing and performing skills that made this group interesting. They deserve all the credit.
And Milli Vanilli would have been NOTHING without Rob & Fab bringing these amazing songs to life the way they did, along with the true singers golden vocals too. It's just too bad this band needed two sets of people in order to be successful, as there's a reason why these guys needed to be the faces of the band for it to be as famous as it was.
This song especially is so very personal to me. We were stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany and I was working at the Travel Office for the Military. One day this guy walks in, needing a ticket RIGHT THEN AND THERE! I had to do Overtime and then he revealed he was the DJ for the US Military (AFN), and he would play ANY song for me the next day on the radio at 7AM. I requested THIS song and with my now late husband, our daughters sitting around the radio, he played it, mentioned my name and place of business. Needless to say, Business skyrocketed. LOL....WONDERFUL, YET BITTERSWEET MEMORIES. Thank you Milli Vanilli.
Love the story, must be really special every time u hear this song, I bet it takes you back there, many songs do. Songs for me are like therapy. What Base was it? I was in Heidelberg, only a kid then but at Patrick Henry Village
I love this song to bits ...the meaning and the way it was sung...irrespective of whatever..wow and another wow , this will always be their song ..Milli Vanili ❤
Amazing dancers and entertainers! Fab writes his own songs now and produces them also. He sings with John Davis and it makes me tear up to watch those two! They are so amazing! Never killed Fab's spirit and his talent has evolved! Being young and gullible isn't a crime!
It's SO sad that the media totally vilified these two guys and NOT the producers who were the ones who orchestrated the controversary! Even in the height of this controversary, I NEVER stopped listening to them!! I just watched the documentary last night about these two guys. I was heart-breaking to see Rob struggle like he did. RIP Rob! So sad. I'm glad to see that Fab was stronger than the controversary and he overcame the demons. It was a GREAT time to be alive and listening to this music!!!
Man I miss those days. Came out after my Senior year in High School. Hanging by the pool, blasting tunes, laying out in that Arizona sun.. I’d go back. Lots of good friends, fun times, innocent, when having a boyfriend felt like you’d be together forever… Ah well, blame it on the rain 🌧️ ☔️
Yeah i saw his interview on Vlad-Tv here on RUclips..he comes across as real genuine & he broke the whole story down..they were just two broke kids & the record company & their producer just used them & took advantage of them but when the truth came out they all made Rob & Fab the scapegoats
Yeah, even though they didn't sing those hits, for most people they were and still are Milli Vanilli. Their charisma, looks and presence where as important as the voices themselves when it came to sell them as a "product" in the pool culture. Sad end for a troubled mind and life since Rob's youth was hard, but at least Fab's still alive, singing and he's got a great voice. Hopefully people give him the chance to display his skills in bigger stages, because he's been singing live here and there but with discrete results.
The way I see it, they were ‘performers’. So what if we were ‘fooled’. They gave us what we wanted. The singers should absolutely get credit. And so should these guys for performing for us. Rip brother.
I grew up in Alaska, but when I was about 9 or 10, i lived with my late grandmother in Brooklyn. I went to P.S. 235. Brings back such innocent memories.

I love u mom may u rest in heavenly peace and I've been blaming myself but then this song came up so I guess my mom is telling me to blame it on the rain. God bless everyone out there and hug all of your family while u can.
God be with you, it's the hardest part of life when the ones we love get called to go to their real home. Music is great like that reminds us of the great times
Who gives you shit for that? Remind them that Milli Vanilli isn’t the only band to ever lip sync and unlike some of the other bands they actually had talent, see Fab today for example. The music studio didn’t want them to sing, and when the track skipped that same studio threw THEM under the bus trying to act like it wasn’t the studio’s fault.
If you're getting shit for it, that's their problem. The music is what counts. I still have the original vinyl of this LP as well as several 12"'s if you're old enough to remember what these are, and am proud to have them. Fraud not withstanding, the music was and is smoking.
Who cares anymore if they were lip-syncing. This is the music why I loved to be alive in -80. These tunes brings back so may memories of that wonderful decade. This is what USA was in 1980's and it will never come back again...
Was a fan of these guys back in the day and I STILL am. I never turned on them when it came out that they weren't really singing. I never cared. They were still amazing performers.
+Kacy Gagnard no they didn't sing a single note. still catchy tho. they were used for their looks, it was the producers vision and he quarterbacked the whole thing. then after the incident in connecticut, he threw his performers under the bus. he did the same with 5 to 10 other artists under his label during this time. milli vanilli just happened to be the most famous and easy to remember . many people have come forth and said it's a very common practice
Dallas Davis it was a set up for more than just the 2 front men. HUGE mess for anyone involved writers, subject matter, producers ....Rain took the rap. Robert -😢
January 13, 2025 and still listening to this song. No matter what this is an awesome song and these guys were talented with all their moves and dancing.
Fab & John Davis (one of the real singers) often tour together. They make a great, and almost perfect duo, since you have one amazing stage performer, and a fine vocalist too, unlike with either just Rob & Fab, or the real singers.

Couldn't agree more. Don't care who sung it. They are brilliant.
Amen 🙏💐
The Menendez Bros threw me back to the 80’s!!! ❤❤❤
Me too. 1989 I was 18 and had this cassette playing in my car playing all the time
Never thought a POS like this could fit well into a dark crime drama, but it does.
I went to school with erik at calabasas high school in California who knew every time i hear milli vanilli I think of him
Me too😂
Rob has got to be the most gorgeous man I ever saw, that face was perfect. Still so sad about his passing. RIP
he was stunning.
Yes, he was gorgeous. Troubled and gorgeous.
Im still in love with Him.. 🖤
Which one is Rob? In Girl You Know It's True is Rob the one that wears the red jacket...? Just trying to figure out who's who. Thanks for the input. But both were gorgeous and could perform (dancing especially) better than 98% of t he trash that's here now.
@@JenniferMannette yes Rob is the guy with the red jacket
Nobody can deny, Rob and Fab had great stage presence. And You can't teach that.
The dark skinned guy doesn't even really pretend to sing.
@@ThereIsNoLord Because he was NOT supposed to sing on this song kid🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️....
Maybe they had stage presence... but sadly, when we think about músic, is about that: voice and music. Video is after that....
If it can be bought or sold it's a commodity.

Rest in peace, Rob. It breaks my heart knowing the pain you must have felt. However, despite all that happened, you still made this song special 🤍
This song is a banger. I lived through this era and Milli Vanilli were huge…until they weren’t.
I cried at the end of the bio special on paramount+ seeing Fab made it through to the other side so wonderfully, while Rob never did. If he only could have known love was waiting. This music, AND their performances, was a big part of my life. Rob and I were almost the exact same age 😢
It’s truly sad what they were put through 😢 they didn’t deserve that treatment 😢💔
Poor Rob was absolutely gorgeous he could’ve done so much. I hope he’s in a much more peaceful place 💔💔🫶🏻🥺
It broke my heart watching the documentary the music business is wicked!! Rob was so innocent looking for love in a women since he had not know his real mother he deal with a lot of childhood trauma! Rest In Peace Rob!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🕊️🕊️🕊️
I cried too.
I never cared who sang it or who didn't. I remember jamming to this song in my room. Spinning and twirling and loving life. That's what I'll cherish and remember.
Yes,yes,they were great!
I saw them in Concert such an Amazing fun time I cherish forever 🥰💯
Still loving this song, don't care how sang it.
Same. Kick a$$ song. Regardless.
Please bring back the 80's/90's!
Still love listening to Milli Vanilli and always will. RIP Rob,. If this happened today, you’d still be here.
I hadn’t thought about this song in over 30 years until I watched Monsters on Netflix. Blast from the past!
Because irs a cheesy song
Yeah that's a typical response.
It was my jam back in the day!! 🎶🎤 ❤ I had forgotten about them as well. Thanks to series...songs are back!! 😁🎤
@@conniemireles483 I need to watch this now, I play Milli Vanili for my fiance when we talk about nostalgic music for us, we have a 14 year AGR & now he has to see them in their glory on a TV show 😆
Acho que foi igual pra todos 😢
Mom played this song in her 90s Toyota truck without AC, in Panama during her Air Force days. Hotter than all hell but kept me comfortable with this song and a cup of ice. One of my earliest memories on this planet! Love you my mama, you’re resting in power. Wish I had the chance to share more memories together as an adult. Ya’ll love your families.. takes a moment to erase a lifetime
I Can Relate With You! May Our Wonderful Mother's R.I.Paradise 🙏🏼
And I can't get enough of the good-looking young men, how they seem to sing, how they dance and how they still thrill the audience today!❤
RIP Rob.
It doesn't matter anymore who lip synched for this group. Their songs are classics! I miss the 80s!
I agree 100%
Mee too

I strongly agree with you!! Rocking with this group til God calls me home 😇♥️😃

Bumping this in 22' while in my 91 old school rv with my 2 little girls heading south to Florida keys! Left a bad 12 year domestic violence marriage.... learning to love myself again now!!!! Here's to the ones that are living life to the fullest! #areyoulivingorsimplyexsisting
I sure do miss the 70’s & 80’s. Sometimes, I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier. Is this your favorite song?
Go you momma!! Go live your best life with your girls
Did u make it?
Blame it on the rain!
Мне жаль, что так получилось в твоей жизни. Ты достоен лучшего!!! Иди вперед и никогда ни оглядывайся назад. Я в тебя верю😊
I really miss this era😢 the menendez series woke up my memories
Same! I was born dec of 1988 so i was just an infant around that time. But we have a lot of home videos and pictures and watching the series takes me to that time and when my parents were younger 😢
I agree! The 80s early 90s were the best!!
I was big fan of Milli Vanilli, these songs brings smile and joy of my teenage years. Still love these songs.
I just discovered Milli Vanilli and it made me fall in love but also help me get over a heart break
Time passes and I continue to listen to them as if they were the real Milli Vanilli and for me they will always be 2023 present ,,
Well, technically, they ARE the real Milli Vanilli - THEY were the group that was constructed as the front for the record company that engaged in the scandal. Milli Vanilli - Rob and Fab - were the ones being marketed. Whether they sang their own songs or not, the group that was being sold was THEIR FACES AND BODIES. So you can keep thinking of them as Milli Vanilli because they ARE.
I just need a time machine to get away from these years 2020 somethin's....wanna go back in time!

That’s what’s up JR. Facts. Much love and respects homie.
Amen to that!!
M. Jones It wasn't the singing, which is very ordinary, but these two with their extraordinary beauty, charisma, presence and dancing and performing skills that made this group interesting. They deserve all the credit.
maybe the real singers didn't want to be famous for these corny ass songs.
Right. They didn’t fake the dancing.
I’ve had this song stuck in my head almost every day since I binge watched the show about the Menendez brothers. Literally.
I can’t stop listening either I love it more and more ❤️
Exactly 💯
Sameeeee haha can't stop listening, it's so catchy❤
Here before this series
I'd give up my ipad, phone, youtube, facebook etc in a heartbeat just to go back to the 80s. Awesome decade!!!!
me too...
It was just barely in the 80s...89
Can't agree more!!!
yeah, me too.
Me too! Good Times for sure and absolutely enjoyed the clubs in LA just pure fun 🤩 !!!
Don't care about the scandal. Love this song.
attitudes have changed in the last 30 years but the damage was done and lives were literally destroyed
Great song
Did you also notice something else, how Fab was pretty much in the video? But he didn't even need to be
Blame it on the Sheep
Whoa, hey Jason Beeson, we have almost identical names and I feel the same...weird.
This is on a constant loop at this point. I lived thru the 80's and when i say it was the best decade, i REALLY mean that🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love this song to bits ...the meaning and the way it was sung...irrespective of whatever..wow and another wow , this will always be their song ..Milli Vanili ❤
Please bring back the 80's, someone.
Please! To a time I didn't exist and I didn't have to pay bills haha.
only in dream...😴😴😴, but it was amazing during the 80s, when i was in elementary/junior high school...👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇🤍🤍🤍🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨
Keeping it alive over here, brother, cruising in my '85 E30 blasting New Wave.
60s-80s was the Golden Age.
Minus the Cold War...
It was a GREAT time to be alive and listening to this music!!!
it's funny how people only blame Rob and Fad when the singers, producers, song writers, etc were all in on it 😤😤😤
Money money money.

What rain but i agree the 1980s and 1990s were awesome decades
Nicely articulated. Also finished high school in 1990, remember this tune fondly - under the African sun😊
These guys are ahead of their time. Lip sync or no. Amazing performers.
Just finished Monsters and reminded of how much I like these period pieces from the 80s. Very unique sound at the time.
Sad thing is that Fab could actually sing. Glad he's made it through everything and is still singing today. Everyone deserves a second chance.
Fab is one helluva singer 2! 👊🎶😊
that's true..
Agree. And if ever he really lip-sync he was also good at it. Rob was terrible in his lip-sync
They should’ve been intelligent enough to switch up the roles and have fab singing and the other guy rapping that would fix things up
yes, they do...
I met Fabrice around 2003 in Beverly Hills. I have to say, he was the nicest gentleman .
100%
I met him too . Very sweet man
Yeah i saw his interview on Vlad-Tv here on RUclips..he comes across as real genuine & he broke the whole story down..they were just two broke kids & the record company & their producer just used them & took advantage of them but when the truth came out they all made Rob & Fab the scapegoats
perfect
the real fabrice or a fake one ?
Will always remember you guys as the Real Milli Vanilli! RIP Rob! You will always be one of my greatest idol!
Idol? Noooo. All fake. Good Music, yes produced by
Frank Farian.
@@PeterFreitag It's my opinion so piss off!
I dont give a crap who sang it ..they were the best.. there is more fake music now and is ok..

I'm not afraid to admit that I am a Milli Vanlli fan, even after all the shit I get for it!
There's really nothing to be afraid of
Who gives you shit for that? Remind them that Milli Vanilli isn’t the only band to ever lip sync and unlike some of the other bands they actually had talent, see Fab today for example. The music studio didn’t want them to sing, and when the track skipped that same studio threw THEM under the bus trying to act like it wasn’t the studio’s fault.
@@dravendfr Your absolutely right👍
If you're getting shit for it, that's their problem. The music is what counts. I still have the original vinyl of this LP as well as several 12"'s if you're old enough to remember what these are, and am proud to have them. Fraud not withstanding, the music was and is smoking.

1990: Milli Vanilli not actually singing their songs is a huge scandal.
2021: Musicians not actually singing their songs is the norm.

Who cares anymore if they were lip-syncing. This is the music why I loved to be alive in -80. These tunes brings back so may memories of that wonderful decade. This is what USA was in 1980's and it will never come back again...
Ur so right🙌🏼
+aklarvanto They weren't lip-syncing
They didn't even sing their songs! lol

I agree, still love them 2 just curious though,is it not them at all singing any of this I was only 12 & don't remember? ?
+Kacy Gagnard no they didn't sing a single note. still catchy tho. they were used for their looks, it was the producers vision and he quarterbacked the whole thing. then after the incident in connecticut, he threw his performers under the bus. he did the same with 5 to 10 other artists under his label during this time. milli vanilli just happened to be the most famous and easy to remember . many people have come forth and said it's a very common practice

Fab & John Davis (one of the real singers) often tour together. They make a great, and almost perfect duo, since you have one amazing stage performer, and a fine vocalist too, unlike with either just Rob & Fab, or the real singers.

Now you wished that you should had her (had her)
And you feel like such a fool

Now it just don't feel the same

Whatever you do, don't put the blame on you

You want her back again
But she just don't feel the same
Gotta blame it on something (gotta blame it on something)
Gotta blame it on something
Blame it on the rain that was fallin', fallin'
Blame it on the stars that didn't shine that night
Whatever you do don't put the blame on you
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah
Come on and blame it on the rain
'Cause the rain won't mind
And the rain don't care
You got to blame it on something
Blame it on the rain that was falling, falling
Blame it on the stars that did shine that night
Whatever you do don't put the blame on you
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah
You can blame it on the rain
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah
Blame it on the rain, yeah, yeah
