To each their own I didn’t pay for exhaust and you don’t know unless you try. And It’s incredible your using these cars as their meant to be used be and not garage queens. Love the channel.
7:25-13:03 Sounds so differently from the stock exhaust with the aftermarket one. So much more high-pitched. It sounds exacltly like a V10 F1. When this LFA overpass you on the highway, you must be jumping in your seat.
you dont need to be rich to have an opinion buddy it was a valid opinion. if you know fuck all about yamaha well they're originally a sound company and make absolutely perfect harmonic exhaust notes
I actually like the straight-piped sound because it gave the LFA's unique exhaust sound longer through more of the rev range. I don't like the extra rasp the straight-piped exhaust had at the lower RPSs though.
The fact you heard that exhaust and chose to take it off is insane. Fuck all these kids who are mad you did but seriously that thing just sounds so much better holy fuck. This is my first time coming across this car and damnnn. Nice video man
I actually think the aftermarket exhaust sounds better, through the video at least. Stock Sounds so muted in comparison. Before it sounded like a legit F1 car. Stock still sounds amazing obviously...Also, love the dinosaur edits lol.
The new beard was so good. The unmolested sentiment for the LFA is related to a bunch of stuff, mostly respect for the work put into getting the car where it is from the factory. And then all the nasty tacked on this and that body kits that get added to cars that are polarizing. As someone who had an original allocation for an LFA (and gave it up as my wife did not want such a loud car), your car is in a good home, enjoy it. Next up to the Dyno, how about your Gen 2 NSX?
in my opinion... the stock sounds better than the after market even though the aftermarket one was louder.. and that sound quality is what makes it better .. if it was only about the performance the sf90 wouldn't have depreciated even though it beats the 300k more expensive revuelto
Hey dude, I wanted to give a heads up to be careful with dyno shops that only use the internal knock monitor. Absolutely Adrenaline is good, your vehicles are testament to that but when I called them they only use the stock ECU monitoring. The issue is with how knock monitoring works. Think of your engine like a 🍷. Add some water and you get a different frequency. When you bolt new things to the engine it’s like adding water to the glass. The stock ECU is calibrated to watch a specific frequency. That’s why it’s dangerous for a tuner to use the stock ECU to determine knock. It’ll be off. You may burn something up. A tuner should use a Plex knock monitor, A Tuner Nerd (analyzes knock), or a knock monitoring headphone unit. I’m sure they are very good but when you’re pushing things hard, your safety margin gets smaller and smaller. Calvo is pushing 3000 hp Vipers and they’ve been using Cody Phillips Racing who just happens to be in Utah. I listened to an interview with him on HPA Academy and he was one of the smartest guests I’ve listened to. I don’t know Cody personally and have nothing to gain, I just know he’s insanely analytical, he’s an authorized Motec dealer, has Texas 2K records and likely uses real knock monitoring equipment. Look up his videos, and definitely ask a shop what knock monitoring equipment they use. Stock is okay to leave on but for dyno tuning it’s a no-go.
@@greebuh I said it can be left on but KCLV is more of a long term trim. Regardless of whether it can do short term trims for situations like bad gas do we really want to professionally tune our $900,000 LFA without professional equipment like a Plex. Keep the correction learning on but while doing pulls on the dyno use real time professional equipment!
Less back pressure means less torque lost due to that back pressure on the exhuast stroke. You should do an e85 tune. Nobody’s ever done that, it’ll stay N.A.
Well engine's love to breathe... Ofc whiteout catalytic converters it will make more HP 👌 take the Cats of and leave the rest of the exhaust on it and there will be the best of 2 wolds.... Trust me ! //The Swede

people say it sounds bad straight piped but it actually sound the same as stock but louder and I might be the only one to say this I like it straight piped more it sounds nasty 😮💨.
I love the fact that it’s the lil boys that drive matchbox cars to their parents house and men who’ll never own a vehicle like this in their lifetime were the ones complaining about the exhaust after the straight piping. I personally like the straight pipe exhaust sound a bit more…
If you ask me Ron they should have made it the return of the Supra it would have had a better following and well would have done better in sales because we know everyone loves a Supra 5:45
503hp. Yes that’s where I would put it at the wheels. Based on the crank rating. I’m just saying that because a Cadillac ATS-V which is 465 at the crank dyno’d at 403 at the wheels. Automatic. I really think you took way more off your bet than you should have. They only lose about 50-60 horsepower in transmission.
That Factory exhaust just sounds so much better. It's not a fast car anyways, no need to put a straight pipe and blowing your ears out just for 20hp gain.
@@WardAkali it's not. For the hefty price and performance/power on paper compared to competition- It's a statement car. Why do you think LFAs were left unsold and dealerships were trying to find buyers? Now that it has appreciated, it feels like a bargain. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I would like to see you let Gintani make an exhaust for the LFA an see how they could make it sound
I would like to see Gintani or FI make an exhaust for the LFA
Gintani makes exhausts that are supposet to said like the LFA so they would do anything because well.... It's a LFA.

They're just jealous that he has a Lexus LFA

All I saw in the notification was Straight Pipe and LFA. I never clicked faster 😂
I think i speak for everyone when i say thank you for putting the stock exhaust back on
Amen
amen, taking the exhaust out was blasphemy
That literally means it’s not the engine sound. It’s the exhaust.
I approve this message
Nah it's so weak now like wtf, it sounds good but it sounded so pissed with the aftermarket exhaust. Total downgrade 👎

My ISF put 432whp after going FBO, I would imagine even a stock LFA would do WELL over that.
sounds good to me with either exhaust!!!
Same! Was surprised at the 20hp difference
Get it to Gintani for a proper system and map to suite it
either way, thanks for making us all happy

WHY???

Twin Turbo this beast! (worlds 1st)
