Yes, more 4 rotor content. I can't wait for what is coming up with this thing. Also nice to see Isaiah again, he was so emotional seeing all of his hard work come together.
I'd add an extra support to the tailgate under the spoiler, like a chassis mounted cup, and a locating cone on the nuts of the bolts that hold the spoiler to the trunk, so the tailgate itself is not load bearing, and can be still opened like a regular trunk.
I'd probably just add about 2 pounds of hockey stick shaped thin carbon fiber reinforcing ribs to tie the deck to the upper hinge structure, and use it as an inside brace with a lexan window.
My god this thing is sick. You can really see the amount of blood, sweat and tears that have been spent on this beast. Can't wait to see more of this🔥🔥
As far as launching goes, little bit of old school trivia for you. John Shepard drove his 1GA Eagle Talon to and from the track, and it'd run mid 7's back in the early 2000's. He always caught shit for it, but his secret to his car very rarely shitting the transmission bed, is he would "soft launch" it. He'd basically let it roll out gently and then come on the power progressively. This was his key to a TON of success back in the NOPI days. So this is 100% a valid plan. Easy-ish out of the hole, let "kill" come in later.
So happy for you Rob!! From seeing the motor just start on your motor rig, doing an AWD burnout at the burn yard, to facing the hoonicorn head on. Keep proving folks wrong and stay Savage 🤘
I'm so early on the video, most of the top comments are still from Patreon members. 😅 I believe this was done months ago & had some post/video on Instagram? I almost forget about this event already. With Rob building new Billet 4-rotor, maybe we can see this record being absolutely demolished? Also, I wish 2025 is the year where Project Ahura get absolutely revamped! Especially since he learnt so much with the 3-rotor RX-7 in last 10 months!
Its really amazing to see how the car community just comes together. And seeing everyone on your subscribed list on one video is something else . Now thats a Drake and j cole feature in the car community
I think the axel snapping was a good thing. Probably took the brunt of the torque and saved some other part in the process. Could've been a wheel shearing off or a wheel axel breaking, which would've sent you veering off to the side barriers. You need to implement a launch control system to temper these launch forces.
The 4 rotor Rx-7 reminds me a lot of the 787b. That vicious scream, flames shooting out of the side, and not to mention the power it's putting down, talk about a monster
It’s wild how capable this car is. It’s been so long since this race that I forgot all about it. Awesome results running a 9 second pass in the 4 rotor!
I just finished watching Cleetus video, testing Leroy's new body, in which both his side windows and one door blew off on his pass. Then this is in my recommended, and your hatch flies off mid pass. Idk whats with the random influx of parts flying off cars, but its entertaining lmao
@Cluelessracing that's a huge difference... I mean, I understand that there is development and cost involved... but he's been left behind. There is a mezzei formula... turbo 4 rotor... and the only thing that was saving his 4 rotor was the fact that it was meant to make 2000hp and be crazy fast..beautiful build, though nonetheless
The thing that’s just unbelievable to me still is that this isn’t a drag car. It’s basically Rob’s hand built, rotary version of the Hoonicorn. Blows my mind how far it’s come.
That sound, nothing sounds quite like a rotary on the 2step. If you like cars and haven't heard something like this in person, i highly suggest adding it to your bucketlist!
That thing could probably run like 1.2high or 1.3low in the 60’ when it’s dialed. I know you said she’s a little chunky but I think you and her could get it done! Great video, glad the 4 rotor is coming back❤
So good to see 4 rotor back! Those wingmounts are really flimsy. It is the next one that will rip off at speed, but that could end really badly, since you get fast change in aerobalance. Making ones that would be at least twice more material is very small differrence in weight.
If I had a nickel for every time Rob broke the back glass on the 4 rotor while doing a drag race, I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

06:06 This time rob spaghetti want his competitors to run out of pasta sauce
an actual hyper car killer, im so glad to have been here for the whole journey, never change rob!
Awesome to see you guys again and running the 4 rotor on the strip getting a 9 pass , you guys have created a rotary monster, love it.
I'm glad you made this video, it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $80k bi weekly and a good daughter full of of love
Hello!! how do you make such bi-weekly , sometimes I feel so down of myself because of low finance but I still believe God
This is what Daisy Clara does, she has changed my life.
Wow! I know Daisy Clara, and I have also had success...
Absolutely! I have heard stories of people who started with little or no knowledge but managed to emerge victorious thanks to Daisy Clara.
Please what’s her contact information?
Rob doing an extremely casual 9-second pass and then saying things aren’t “really crazy” yet is quintessential Rob Dahm. I love it 🔥🔥💯
Isaiah's reaction to the back glass was just so......Isaiah....and I will always be here for it hahahahaha
BAD ASS... This video has nothing to do with me, but I can't stop grinning. Very Stoked !
Love watching a freshly posted Rob Dahm video in English class in the morning
Cold track broken axle, the sound the look everything about this car is absolutely the coolest ultimate monster toy. Well done.
Im here to give some love to the rotary vette. thats the project i want to see most
The Rotary is king. Let's keep pushing this technology Rob. Thank you.
5:30 poor little camera 😢😢😢😢
lmao getting fire blasted
Got that Mexican cartel send off
My god this thing is sick. You can really see the amount of blood, sweat and tears that have been spent on this beast. Can't wait to see more of this🔥🔥
Always nice to see the Robs getting together xD
As far as launching goes, little bit of old school trivia for you. John Shepard drove his 1GA Eagle Talon to and from the track, and it'd run mid 7's back in the early 2000's. He always caught shit for it, but his secret to his car very rarely shitting the transmission bed, is he would "soft launch" it. He'd basically let it roll out gently and then come on the power progressively. This was his key to a TON of success back in the NOPI days. So this is 100% a valid plan. Easy-ish out of the hole, let "kill" come in later.
Yoooo, Mr JWW James in the house! Great run rob. 8.99 coming ;)
I think if it has wheels and a motor, Mr. JWW will find it.
I believe this was done months ago & had some post/video on Instagram? I almost forget about this event already.
With Rob building new Billet 4-rotor, maybe we can see this record being absolutely demolished? Also, I wish 2025 is the year where Project Ahura get absolutely revamped! Especially since he learnt so much with the 3-rotor RX-7 in last 10 months!
The slips say Feb/6/2023 so yeah he has been holding on to this for a while.
@@toyowheelinWhoah, good catch! I didn't even think of checking the date on the time slip.
Its really amazing to see how the car community just comes together.
And seeing everyone on your subscribed list on one video is something else .
Now thats a Drake and j cole feature in the car community
That was wicked. I want to see what ahura can do on a sunny prepped drag strip.
Man I been waiting forever for this. It's capable of so much more.
Vicious.
Bad ass car man!
If this channel was just these rotary masterpeices doing passes over and over I would never get enough. I literally skip to the sound.
You telling Ferretti "fuck you" was hilarious lol
He’s such a good friend and an asshole 😂😂❤️
I'm so pleased for you! Happy days! And awesome to see the 4 rotor roar
I think the axel snapping was a good thing. Probably took the brunt of the torque and saved some other part in the process. Could've been a wheel shearing off or a wheel axel breaking, which would've sent you veering off to the side barriers. You need to implement a launch control system to temper these launch forces.
That is amazing! So happy for you Rob and your team! What a wonderful and menacing machine!
Bangin’ Gears was supposed to come out like 2 years ago…
I dropped everything once I got the notification. Glad we're seeing some banging gears content! Hope it doesn't mean the show is dead though.
Could always mount the wing directly to the chassis to avoid that flex on the hatch. Would improve the effective downforce as well. Just a thought.
have been watching since like 2015 im proud of you brother that thing is a monster
Coming in with heavy foreshadowing at the end 😂 12:55
You shoudl be proud, you have accompished a ton with all of that hard work. It sure is fun to watch that car rip.
Need some of that Mansory glue. 😉
The 4 rotor Rx-7 reminds me a lot of the 787b. That vicious scream, flames shooting out of the side, and not to mention the power it's putting down, talk about a monster
So is it safe to assume that the Banging Gears show is never coming out?
Krispy posted on his insta saying they all "wasted" a month of their lives on something they thought would be cool, so sounds like it's done for
It’s wild how capable this car is. It’s been so long since this race that I forgot all about it. Awesome results running a 9 second pass in the 4 rotor!
Great run! First the hood flys off then the back glass. It's not a 4 rotor drag race without parts coming off
I just finished watching Cleetus video, testing Leroy's new body, in which both his side windows and one door blew off on his pass. Then this is in my recommended, and your hatch flies off mid pass. Idk whats with the random influx of parts flying off cars, but its entertaining lmao
Who had the idea of attaching a gopro in front of the exhaust😅
Someone who is sick of its issues 😂.
thanks for making these videos rob you're are a light in so many ppl's lives keep it up !
When rob was building this beast I was expecting it too run 6’s all day but 9’s is a great start 😅
Wasnt it meant to be 2000hp plus 👀
@@thehomelessproject3784yes, but the last time he dyno it, he left it at 1346hp
He's on low boost testing the car...
This thing is an absolute *weapon* dude! So stoked to see it putting down passes like this!
Thats Awesome Rob i am 51 years old and nearlly done building my car(aussie turbo Barra) to do the same exact
thing and i cant wait..
Honored that you are sharing the moans and groans of drag racing fixing running breaking fixing again thanks MR DAHM
That thing could probably run like 1.2high or 1.3low in the 60’ when it’s dialed. I know you said she’s a little chunky but I think you and her could get it done! Great video, glad the 4 rotor is coming back❤
Rob and crew, y'all rock! Congrats on the 9. Peace
So good to see 4 rotor back! Those wingmounts are really flimsy. It is the next one that will rip off at speed, but that could end really badly, since you get fast change in aerobalance. Making ones that would be at least twice more material is very small differrence in weight.
My two favorite RUclips Robs, Dahm and Spaghetti
