Put this movement in a divers 65 40mm no date and you have a real competitor to the bb58 , well done oris 👍

Well said, I don't see the comparison with Black Bay and Aquis either. But yes, I like the idea of putting this great movement into a divers "sixty-five" nodate model

    10 year warranty is huge.

Looks good. I have the 1917 and am very pleased with it but the modified Selita movement is definitely its weak point. Provided the new calibre proves as reliable as Oris expects, I am sure they will sell more watches on the strength of it.

Always liked ORIS, sharp looking, top notch cases and bracelets and their socially responsive philosophy. I own their Lake Baikal model. However their movements have always been the problem. The bottom of the barrel Sellita movements are just terrible. Looks like problem solved. Add a 10 year warranty and service interval and the quick change strap system to boot and it’s a winner. Will look to pick one up...maybe a green face. Worth the price increase...easily.

Its the bang for your buck diver and the new movement makes the watch better in terms of quality.

3 points.....why not a silicon hair spring, still no on the fly clasp adjustment on the bracelet when they have it on the rubber and leather straps and lose the pressure resistant and 300 bar text on the dial so it's less cluttered. Otherwise excellent.

Over 30 of the parts in the Calibre 400 are silicon and non-ferrous. Using silicon for the anchor and escape wheel, along with non-ferrous material for the axes that hold the balance wheel, escape wheel and anchor, the impact of magnetic fields on Calibre 400 is reduced by more than 90% compared to standard Swiss mechanical movements. During tests undertaken by the Laboratoire Dubois, Calibre 400 deviated by less than 10 seconds a day after exposure to 2,250 gauss. Check out my review. Regards.

Price point because 3 200 CHF its determined for Switzerland, other counties can have different prices :)

I think it stacks up well against the Tudor.

@@DWilliam1 but it will hold value ? Don't think so, but still very cool watch :)

@@Ravaman Should a watch always do this?
A mechanical watch is, in my opinion, an emotional purchase, and why do you think immediately about resale value? Then you do something wrong with the purchase, don't you think?!
Rolex and Tudor take advantage of us and we just go with it. We should just go and buy another watch (brand), but what are we doing instead?... We join these mysterious waiting lists and become a consumer slave.
Where are real emotions? Real joy?
It's a beautiful, well made watch for 3K... is worth every penny

@@alexkerr8878 Yes, correct. I couldn't agree more but for me 3k+ price is moment then i need to consider value factor :( Maybe in the future, now my emotional and joy purchases are Seiko/Casio, everything over 2.5k i consider as an investment.

You are not selling it very well, -3 +5 seconds accuracy, YOU SHOULD BE SHOUTING THAT OUT, BETTER THAN CHRONOMETER !!!
