Those are great, but they should have put the on the fly micro-adjust in the less expensive models too, since micro brands are offering them at less than a fifth of the price.
Disagree - you can’t compare micro brands with a brand like Oris that has to maintain its own factory / train watchmakers and so forth. There should be more features if you are paying 1k more
@@bodrulm1 Nobody prevents you from buying a cheaper micro brand with lesser brand heritage and without 10 years of warranty. Ridiculous comparison. I get a new Oris Aquis 400 for less than 2,5k €. Incredible value for the money.
Nice one Chris, someone who has not only acknowledged but demonstrated that the cal 400 clasp has tool less micro adjustment. Anyway I think the changes are an interesting evolution of the current model. I have a couple of Aquis models and to be honest would be unlikely to change to the new version, maybe different dial configurations might be of interest at some point in the future. It would be interesting to know which current versions and dials are being discontinued, the upcycle gets carried over but what about the wonderful cherry red dial. Anyway thanks again for sharing original content without the copy and paste of some reviewers. Have a great day.
Great video Chris. The elephant in the room with this model will forever be the integrated bracelet, should they ever do normal lugs with say a 20mm spacing they will essentially be making a worthy model to battle the big dogs.
I’m a huuuge Aquis fan. Excited to try this on the wrist- my one nitpick was they could be a touch thinner, I’m pretty sure the previous gen was around 13.5mm thick, so this is definitely a step in the right direction. Might have to pick me up a sellita 41.5mm blue dial soon…
Looks great, but I already thought the Aquis was perfect. I’m one of the few, but I don’t want or need a bigger clasp. I don’t wear my watches on bracelets super tight so I have no need for on the fly micro adjustments. For the masses who love this enjoy. Still waiting for an orange Aquis. Still baffled they’ve never brought one out.
nkuwan You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
The 41.5mm cal. 400 models didn't get the upgrade, right? So they won't have the new adjustable clasp and all of the changes. For now it's proprietary for the 43.5mm cal. 400 models.
Wow that’s a real swindle on Oris’ part if true! The 400 costs a whole lot more than the basic version so you’d think both sizes 41.5” and 43.5” got the same treatment. I would really love to buy the 400 because of the micro adjustment being fitted at last, but not in the largest model.
Chris: I know you have done many reviews of GMT watches (Both true and caller type). I am getting a new watch Tisell True GMT with Moyota 9075 . Price tag only $314. I hope you do a review on it. If you dont have one I can lend you mine Roja Challa
Thanks for your overview of these watches. They look great except for the thin minute and hour hands, which don't work for me, especially since these are dive watches.

Marketing. They want people to buy the more expensive one
Yes such a shame. They are just forcing you to buy the 400 at this point, which no one wants.

The blue dial colour is different to the previous one. The reviewer didn't call this out?

Clasp micro adjustment should have been more clear. I don’t understand the website too . Should be clear
Will the new micro adjustment clasp fits the old bracelet? If so its a nice upgrade to have with not much money
That I'm not sure I don't believe so because the bracelet have a more dramatic tapper Thanks for the comment
Hope there is a black/grey version coming in 41,5mm and with cal400

Does the new bracelet for the Calibre 400 fit regular old Sellita models, or did they mess that up by changing the lugs?

One of my favourites waches of all times no doubt. It wpuld be great to see a comparision between the 400 caliber version and the Tudor Black Bay.
Beautiful and great upgrades!

Fully lumed bezel would really make the Aquis stand out
Weird that the cal 400 doesn’t have a 6 o clock marker
The Omega Seamaster 300m has a clasp with dive extension and sliding micro-adjust, as do the Tudor Pelagos (both models)
nice watch but the price seems a bit much, cant you get a tudor in that same price?
Nice subtle changes.

👍👍👍 Nice watch and Elegant watch best presentation by watch expert - watch Chris 👍👍👍
I’ll buy one the day they brush the full bracelet, polished edges look awful after a few weeks
Yeah I have the all brushed black sellita. Would like a cal 400, especially for the new clasp, but I’m not a fan of the polish.
Unpolished it
Got mine all brushed at the local watchmaker for $100 was the best investment ever. Totally worth it.
@@Billeh556 I already have the factory fully brushed bracelet. Don’t see myself spending $4100 on another Aquis. I’d get a Tudor or Omega for that.

so no caliber 400 with the cherry dial?
Did they do a different blue dial with this?
I think it's similar the previous version thanks for the comment!
The minute hand seems a bit too thin for me.
This has been my grail watch for a long time. I like it a lot but it turns out that new versions will come out and I won't be able to get it. 😢
Thanks for the comment

Not enough change to sway me into buying a 2nd Aquis
Nice .
I really hate that gradation of dial
Are you at Watches & Wonder's ? Oris doesn't get the credit they deserve IMO

Thanks for watching !
I always appreciate the style and honesty of your videos, but that view highlighting the new Cal 400 clasp was not very helpful 🥲
Sorry about that I agree I am actually going to add a video to my story on instagram with a better view. Apologies!
I only go to nkuwan to buy a mirror copy watch!
