Turbo muffler deletes are kinda overpriced tbh. I got the China special TMD for like $50 and it's mint. That, a CTS inlet pipe and a Chinese silicone hose (along with some cheeky airbox mods) and you've got more flow overall than a $200-$300 cold air intake for the same price or even less
Diverter valve is a good upgrade due to the stock one breaking at higher than stock boost levels(learned the hard way) they make upgraded ones that function as stock and they won’t blow with high boost

I want to do a cat delete on my 2016 A3 but keep the rest of them stock. My A3 (2.0 quattro) is so quiet, it's basically stock beside from the suspension (H&R coilovers) now would that throw an engine light after replacing it with just a pipe? Just thought I'd ask before actually doing it.
What's up man, agreed these cars are way too quiet from factory. For a simple cost effective solution I would do a secondary cat delete and resonator delete. That would help open it up a little more without going crazy

yup makes sense. Lots of guys running stock ones. Nothing wrong with an upgrade though!
Savage Panda Projects I just kept blowing the oem ones so I go the upgraded one and 4,000 miles and still going strong.

You can definitely do the inlet and turbo muffler delete if you want without the full intake system 🙂

I'm still on the stock DV. I really don't feel like there is a need for an aftermarket one. Lol you can if you want but it's not necessary imo 👍

What would an upgraded diverter valve do with these mods?
Some aftermarket DVs might add more noise/ sound etc. I personally don't find them necessary
On the ea888.3 the factory DV leaks boost, so they solve that problem. GFB’s DV+ does it without the extra noise
