@@codysvlogdays It adds just more cost for the developer and us. It's a decade old game, whoever worked on the design et cetera isn't there anymore and only them or professionals (who cost a lot of money) can search for the right people to dub the voices behind the people ingame - otherwise it will sound wrong and alienate people furthermore.
I'd say... it's a JRPG, so listening to japanese is the norm imho. I never play any game that was intentionally made with japanese voices with a overlapped english voice.
Same… can’t wait to play Azure. I have all the Cold Steel games just waiting in the backlog
I really enjoy how vast the industry and overall game coverage is in your news videos, and that is not a knock on anyone elses JRPG news videos, I'm just really impressed by how much ground you cover in these things. Well done TKN!
Excited about the idea of Tokyo Xanadu merch from Pinbox. Such an underrated game
Episode 5 of Northern War was good, looking forward to when the English Dub catches up to it for certain VA's. Also cannot wait for a new Vanillaware title ;)
I'm waiting till Northern War is finished, then I'll just binge the hell out of it.
hopefully some of Falcom's upcoming projects / ports aren't Ys / Trails related. Would love to see Gurumin on modern platforms as well as ports of the current PC only localised releases. Although ports of the Sky games are so sorely needed.
Sky is overdue some ports, and I'm wondering if they renamed the title to something like Sky FC/SC Kai or similar to what they did with the PS4 versions of Crossbell if it would erase the issue of XSeed holding the rights currently for the original trilogy. As that in of itself is also a big obstacle in whether they come West.
The Marl Kingdom games announcements really caught me by surprise, I thought I was never gonna see them translated since the fan project went nowhere.

I hope you mean Kuro 2's english translation release, because there'll be no english release per se.
Glad to hear they are thinking of remastering other tales of games. Really wanna play xillia 1 and 2 and graces.
Xillia needs a port for sure, still only on PS3 as far as I know and I do want to get back to it. But no way I'm buying a PS3 just for that.
I'd rather them give us an official release of the Japanese only titles first, xillia 1 and 2 were good games but the older ones, remade and in English would be more welcome in my eyes, xillia 1 and 2 still look like decent games graphically and can all be picked up fairly cheaply for the PS3 which can also be picked up for a relatively low price. If you're a particular collector of all things Tales related you can pick up a Japanese tales of xillia console from eBay for not a lot of money and the PS3 titles you mentioned for not too much. I assume these titles will increase in value if they decide not to re release them though, much like NTSC U/C version of tales of destiny on the PS1.
Story Of Seasons A Wonderful Life isn’t a Switch exclusive it’s coming to PS4 and PS5 as well I have my pre order on Game for the deluxe edition for PS5

Dragon Quest Champions seems interesting on paper; solo but also a battle royale mode which also features the classic turn-based system from the saga.
I'm most excited about that Vanillaware title, an epic fantasy that's one of their biggest titles yet? Count me in.

I missed out on four Restocks for the Renne with Bonus Faceplate this time I have to settle down for only one and that only if a friend of mine can grab me one in Akihabara this summer
That faceplate was like gold-dust mate! It went out of stock so quickly.
@@TheKisekiNut Not sure why you said it's sold out? It's still readily available on the Kotobukiya jp store, you just have to use a proxy instead of the usual places. I'm sure it will be sold out fully soon though, Rixia and Crow's normal versions are sold out at the manufacturers so don't wait!
@@TSignature the alternate face plate is sold out as far as I can see and it apparently happened an hour into the sale. Its possible they restocked it since said update though.

I can't wait for ryza 3 as it releases one day after my birthday but also I can't wait for trails to azure and the biggest suprise for me was disgaea 7 releasing this year
Love your channel!! Awesome video, as always! What is yout take on the Toby Fox's RPG's? I recently played Undertale for the 1st time. And I was surprised how much I liked them as a Trails-fan. Undertale's music also is crazy good!
My most anticipated title right now is Octopath Traveler II. It looks so beautiful and the developers seem to have addressed the issues and complaints people had with the first game. I cannot wait!
Time will tell for sure, not long to wait.

I believe Fate Samurai Remnant is also being developed by Omega force they create the dynasty warrior games so its highly likely its gonna be a musou title which im very excited for
I'm personally not too big on Musou, but I'll keep an eye on it for sure as I'm a fan of Fate in general.
Wonder if it will cone to West soon too for ys switch game
Thanks for the video! There was some good news in there and I'm certainly curious about the Vanillaware title. Looks like it could be interesting. And I hadn't heard of Redemption Reapers, but it sounds interesting enough that I'll have to give it a look. Though definitely my biggest, desperate hope is that Ys Memoire comes west, because what I've seen from it so far looks incredible, even though I've already played Oath in Felghana.
Ys Memoire will be an interesting one - we've already got the original in the West via XSeed. So will Falcom go back to them or will NISA take it up? Plus, considering it's only on Switch, will they even bother to invest themselves in the project?
@@TheKisekiNut I hadn't even considered that localization issue which does certainly throw a wrench into things. All said, that only does more to make me less optimistic and more hopeful.
But I am also interested in the timing of it, if making a remaster of Felghana should tell us something about the plot of the upcoming Ys X.
Excited a new console Etrian Odyssey is coming out. I wonder when. Just recently got it. Not usually the type of RPG I like. Bought all of them and have become addicted.
Unfortunately it's just speculation at the moment purely because of the team who are making it. Creative Department 1st Production don't do Persona, but they do do SMT and Etrian Odyssey.

It's in Cyberconnect2's interest to make a physical version and to advertise the hell out of it. People know it's a good game, but the first one never got the care it needed marketing wise.

Nope. Their strategy is to release a standalone english game, because translation costs money and they wouldn't get any from a patch. And if they went for DLC, it won't get the same attention and sales will drop rather.

Oh Shit, more Rhapsody? There are more games? I only ever played the DS version I found at a random gamestop 10 years ago. I was on Holiday at the Nordsee. Or was it the Ostsee? Doesn't matter. Oh my god, I need to play Rhapsody again. Maybe I should try and get my hands on the Switch Remaster.
Damn, this brings back so many memories. Mostly negative ones, due to terrible roommates, but I still had a mostly good time while playing that game. Except that bug with the gravestone in that cave that would caus the game to freeze. Oh my god, I can't believe there are more Rhapsody titles! Thank you for sharing this with me, my friend.

I may pick up the ps5 copy of Ys IX. It runs so craptacularly on the switch :(
It ran fantastically on my ps4 so I'd assume it would on ps5. Haven't picked it up myself yet but from what I've heard it's really good on there
I played the PS4 version on PS5 and had 0 issues with fps. I can only imagine the native PS5 version being better.
I'll chime in here that on my PS4 Slim it didn't run too well, but apparently on Pro it's decent. I replayed on PC and it was excellent, so I imagine PS5 should have no problem.

I just hope that Atlus if they do decide to do another remaster do a better job than they did with the Persona 3 portable one. That was a horrible remaster with so many technical problems like the audio being bad and the backgrounds being blurry a decent amount of the time. Why they just didn't do FES is baffling to me but seeing as how the Japanese market wanted it more they'll just have to live with the sorry excuse of a remaster
I hope that the rumors of a full-fledged Persona 3 remake are true.
I can't talk about it as I've yet to play it, but I've seen similar opinions to yourself. Sadly that seems to be a running theme with remasters lately.
@The Kiseki Nut yeah I'm not as big a fan of 3 as some are but I got the remaster anyways to support Atlus. It was just not very well done. I'm sure if you do end up playing it for yourself you'll see the same things
Any JRPG from these smaller companies that's a Sony only release, it will not sell well.
Switch is dominating the Japanese market and is the third best selling system.
I believe the new fate game is just another horrible repetitive musou game ( don't get me wrong I'm big musou fan but recent ones ( SW5, touken ranbu, fire emblem) weren't that good.
But if there's a chance it'll be an RPG or a soul game in fine with it.
