    Full Recipe: preppykitchen.com/cheese-bisc...
I love making biscuits! They come together in a flash and OMG, so fluffy!!!!! If you follow me you might remember that I LOVE fried sage so why not add that into the perfect biscuit and while we’re at it how about some parmesan for an extra punch of flavor?! I really enjoyed the combination and to my shock the boys loved it too! When making biscuits there are a few things to keep in mind. Make sure your butter is cold, don't overwork your dough, and don't roll it too thin! Really that's it though. If you're using a food processor it's easy as pie, if you're doing it the old fashioned way keep an eye on the butter specks in the dough as you don't want them getting too small. I gave my biscuits a quick egg wash on top for a golden brown finish and baked them at 425 for about 14 minutes. Biscuits are always best served warm so try and bake them just before serving but if you can't just warm them up before placing on the table. I would serve these as a side dish or use them to make a really tasty sandwich, maybe with a little fried chicken and some tasty slaw? YUM.

I made these this morning for a bake off competition today. Won 1st prize! I was the only one with a savoury scone, the rest were sweet. Thanks for the recipe! The judges loved them! A real winner of a recipe.

Ahhh-mazing!!! You can’t eat just one! Buttery and flaky! Oh so good! My young adult son helped and we cut them into parallelogram shapes. So they look more scone than biscuits. I bought a food processor just for This recipe!! Yum & yum!

Oh Lord!! At the minute I saw you putting your hand inside the food processor, it gave me creeps, because I've made the same mistake and ended up on ER with 3 cutted veins and a few stitches in my tumb. I hope you're ok. I just found your channel here and I'm loving it!! I have already subscribed and become a fan! Thank you for all the hints!!🤗🤗🤗

Just made these this morning and they're the best biscuits I've ever made! I managed to keep my hands out of the food processor, but grated my knuckle. I think the blood and sweat is an important element.

Hi John. I would like to say thank you for posting this video. I've made few of your recipes, but this one is the best so far. Your videos are engaging and entertaining an they make us feel like we can all be great bakers. One can tell that you were a teacher, you are so great at explaining the process even pointing out the common mistakes. Also, your love for baking and cooking and your positive attitude transpires very well in your videos. Great job!
The best part is that my kids love your videos, and we often bake together while watching them. So much fun! Here is my son's comment who is in elementary school:
you make the best food ever.

I really do appreciate this recipe, first time doing it and the biscuits came out perfect, I never thought I would be able to make them from scratch. I was following another so called cheddar biscuit recipe from another channel and the difference is night and day. I believe there were two factors that you resolved in this video:. Thickess of the dough and more exact measurements. Made the chicken salad recipe of yours to go with them and let's just say I feel like I'm King of the world with these perfect recipes. Thank You for taking the time to make us great cooks.

What if I can't get fresh sage and live in a hot climate where it is hard to grow herbs in the warmer months, particularly in this year of record-high temperatures? Will dried sage work? If I try dried sage, should I put the dried sage into the liquids to release the flavor and perhaps add some parsley (also dried) for the color interest? Thanks for the tasty recipes and for being such a good teacher.

I've....never put an egg in a biscuit. I'm use to putting eggs in just about everything I bake and make, so it was odd to not include it in biscuits. I may try this out soon enough, especially if fresh sage is on sale and I have a good dinner idea. May try it next month sometime.
