5 years after, this video came through for me today 4th September 2024. I almost gave up thinking i will have to call on my engineer. Thank you so much. Just cleaning of the inner rolller that is visible after removing the drum unit fixed the issue. Although i still maintain all the procedure as shown in this video by going further to clean the roller that feeds paper to the drum which is visible right under the printer after removing the paper tray. I also cleaned the rollers at the back of the which is part of the fuser unit. it was an easy. I owe you so many thanks and thanks again.
I have been having this issue for MONTHS Brother is fully aware of these problems BUT YET nothing is being done.,...,.,.,. UNTIL TODAY I am NEVER buying Brothers problem ever again and should you... Word to wise Brother
It was the rollers! i didnt even clean them just moved them around with my fingers and it worked! will clwan when i have time! its working now thank you.
Just wanted to say cleaning all the rollers with alcohol wipes fixed my duplex printing jams immediately!!!! Thank you @303 Electronics!!!! (successful results on a Brother MFC-9340 CDW)
Awesome... I followed this recipe and (finally!) fixed a nagging duplex printing problem. I could print all I wanted, big multi-page docs without duplex on, but soon as I enabled duplex it jammed every 2-3 pages. I tried much of this before, similar actions, but I think I missed some of the rollers you pointed out. The one section I definitely missed was the very top of the machine, the feeder rollers (mine is a DCP-7065DN). Anyway, I've been printing duplex docs so far without any issues yet... Thanks a ton! Cheers.
I know this is an old video but these printers are still working. Mine had a double feed issue. I cleaned all the rollers and still had half a page stuck in the toner unit (front). The easy fix was to change the paper type to THICK. It now works fine.
I tried all of these steps multiple times, but my MFC7860DW keeps jamming with the first page printed. I don't think it's the fuser, as the print quality is still excellent when it doesn't get jammed. And there's no dust inside the machine. There was a comment about envelopes, which made me realize that those don't jam when fed in one at a time from the manual feeder. Indeed, when feeding in one sheet at at time from the front, it doesn't jam! That suggests my problem is the paper tray, correct???
I have an 8510, every 3-6 pages a get a crinkled page or 2. It appears they wrinkle after the fuser as the page is fully covered in print, I wonder if this is part of the fuser doing this upon exit...
I have a Brother MFC 9840CDW. The first two pages I print on a sitting printer always jam in the rear near the fuser. Once I clear the jam, the pages print normally. I guess the fuser warming up helps the pages go through. Is this a fuser issue as you described?
Replaced the fuser and the paper jam problem continues? Any recommendations? The jam occurs where the rear rollers push the paper up to where the toner drums are.
You've forgot to mention that the Exit-Rollers needs to be cleaned as these tend to cause Jams on Brother MFC Machines all the time.... For older models the Paper Pickup Solenoid on the left side gets stuck and that sticky pad needs to be removed to solve the issue. ;)
Hi. There are rollers at the area where paper comes out. These should be 4 rollers there. You can hold an alcohol swab over the roller, one by one. To make the rollers spin, just open and close the front door. It is a similar concept to this printer in the link. ruclips.net/video/TXLuMt0FXNU/видео.htmlsi=sdZ9p5F5vD6s4qmY
SUPER helpful! Thanks so much! One question if you don’t mind: roughly how many pages should a Brother printer handle before the fuser starts to be an issue?:
This is a great video! I have the MFC 9340CDW and the leading edge of paper passes about one inch beyond the fuser roller and then it jams. I cleaned the rollers as you noted with no love. O then replaced the fuser and the same jam occurs... I then cleaned the conveyor belt with 93% isopropyl and still the issue persists. What am I missing?
Honestly, after you replaced the fuser the problem should have went away. The only thing that comes to my mind is a sensor that may be in that area which is misplaced or broken. This is a color printer, so it may also be a drum or so. Check that too. I'm sorry I'm not much help.
@@303electronics Actually you may be on to something! I need to research where the paper sensor should be... and I'm not sure exactly how it works but I see it near the fuser rollers. Is it supposed to be spring loaded?
@@303electronics I see a small black spring loaded finger offset from center that I winder if it may be the culprit... I haven't traced the wires back to the board but it seems like I must do that soon. Should be a simple contact open/close deal.
This is the answer I was looking for Sir, I want to buy you a coffee. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I have the very same printer with the very same problem No matter how many times I insert my paper tray I get a paper jam in the rear, which I end up pulling out from the front of the unit. Yes the black roller I did not know its name until not, Ahhh the FUSER ahhh haaaa Yes, mine has visible damage on the right side. This MUST be the problem.. I was all set to trash this unit, up until now... Would you be so kind to show me how I am to replace the FUSER on this model. Or is it pretty much one her up, it'll come to me as I go Do I need any special tools, I hate starting a project then mid-way have to stop to go buy a tool to resume my project. { hate when that happens - don't you? }
thanks , that was a great advise. fixed the problem. I am happy with my brother machine. its sturdy and works fine and did not want to change it just because of the roller problem. Thank you, your advise really helped.. :)
Did you get an answer? My MFC-L3750CDW Constantly keeps saying Jam tray 1 i have to keep pulling the draw out and pop back checked the toners switched off at the wall, its driving me mental, It cost me nearly £400 for this printer im not happy at all
@@sacwebb1 Thanks for the recommendation! I wish I could send mine back too but ive had it for far too long and its been out of warranty for some time now. Thanks again, and sorry it took me so long to respond the first time!
A fuser is a unit in the back of the printer which heats up and fuses toner powder to paper when it passes through it. If you open the back of the printer door, you will see a couple rollers, that is the fuser assembly.
BRother is worse Company when It comes to customer support. My NEXT Copier won't be a Brother. I have been trying to get two parts for four months . Gotten nothing BUt the RUN around.

Have a 7860DW that has the annoying duplex jam. The paper gets stuck in the front of the printer. Which rollers should I concentrate on?

I have a MFC-8950DW that is telling me to reload paper in the MP Tray. I'm not even using the MP tray, how can I clear this error?
@@303electronics Tried this, didn't work, is there a video on how to load the mp tray?
I took a sharp screwdriver and peeled the grime from the rollers in the exit tray while they were moving.

My paper gets jammed in the toner drum. I'm confused

Put in a new fuser.
