1:34 Hi, i have a Samsung UHD 6900 (2020) when i select “regulate hdr” it saies “your tv doesn’t support hdr technology” so i cant regulate it… how does its possible? Is there any impostation that i missed out on my tv or its a technical tv problem?
I have a " strange " question: I remember that for those owning a PS4 PRO, some advised Disabling " Super Sampling " and also " HDR " in order to increase FPS. Do you think that by setting the Output Resolution to 1080p and disabling " HDR " on the PS5 would increase FPS ( or make them more stable, basically a locked 60 FPS in games like Marvel Avengers ) Thank you very much in advance :)
I know where I have to set all those display settings for my TV, even though I don't have a ps5. It's simple for me as mine is 1080p, doesn't have hdr and deep colour abilities, but does have full rgb range.
ASUS TUF VG27AQ PS5 automatically detect at 4k HDR 60hz when this monitor is only 1440p :) so do not sure it is good option to select automatic. On this monitor is better to pick manually 1080p so this settings are not for everyone.
I what to know the difference between the modes. Does performance mode play at difference settings than Resolution mode? Does Performance mode. play at 1080p or 1440p (2k) at locked 60 fps while Res mode is 2160p (4k) at locked 30 fps. On 120Hz TVs with VRR support the game can run much higher than 60fps. Does 120Hz with VRR work in both modes?
My TV that I bought specifically for my PS5 is a Vizio 50in 4K 60 hertz TV I got on sale during Christmas of 2020 for $300 plus tax. after playing for a few weeks on my PS5 on this Vizio 4K 60 hertz TV ( didn't get my PS5 till February 28th) I am satisfied with my purchase I don't understand HDR what's the point of it picture already looks fantastic even if I don't mess with the HDR settings. I have it set to Performance mode should I set it to resolution will it still play at 60fps?
Hdr makes the picture look more natural and realistic in my opinion. Vizio is not a great picture. I think samsung and Sony have the best pictures. At least that's how it's always been
Hdr increases your peak brightness and color on your tv but also increases input lag. (actions you will see on your tv when you press a button on your controller). Also I suggest you put your console in resolution mode since you got a 60hz tv. But that doesn't say everything cause the new spiderman in performance mode runs in 1440p@60fps and resolution mode render spiderman in 4k@30fps. So it's up to you buddy.
Your videos are so good for starters.. but I want to ask something. Whenever I play any game on my PS4, if I press L2, it acts as if I am pressing L2 and holding forward on my left analog. I know this because in the PS home screen when I press L2, it shows the settings profiles and stuff as if I had held my left analog stick up. Hopefully you can find a fix or if not it's probably because it is 4+ years old...

Great video is always only thing about resolution mode on games like Destiny 2 if you are playing PVP you cannot run it at 120 unless you put it in performance mode other than that it stays on resolution mode for me
For Adjusting HDR, your settings are wrong. For the first 2 you want to make sure it clips to the point where you can’t see the image anymore. So as an example on my LG C1 OLED with DTM/HGIG off I would set the first 2 to the exact same level. For me it would be 14 clicks from the minimum. Then on the last one where it adjusts dark colours and blacks, I set that to the lowest point possible to ensure you are getting true blacks.

I would really like to see a video for audio settings when connected to a surround receiver, and what options to use when playing a video game or movie.
Yeah there's none of that. The new update has added this 3d effect thing for TV speakers and I think soundbars too in the audio settings, but home theatre systems aren't in the audio settings to customise.
Bought a cheap 3m HDMI 2.0 cable that kept randomly cutting out the HDR signal. Was super annoying but I changed the 4K Video Transfer Rate to -2 and it was fixed.
What do you mean weird. I have issues with a couple games looking very dark like ac valhalla. I've heard to turn off the hdr butt it didn't help much. It was a little better
@@Anthony-cn8ll yup still noticeable. When turned off my TV got around 12ms input lag. That's very low btw. When I enable hdr I feel like that number doubles. 6ms is the lowest you can get on tv's btw. But 6ms you can only get with a 120fps output cause higher frames decrease input lag too.
It depends. Because the PS5 OS supports HDR, it will display an HDR signal even with games that don't support it, so certain games will end up being an SDR image displayed in an HDR signal because the PS5 doesn't switch to SDR even if the game in question doesn't support HDR. So if you've been playing games like Crash 4, R6 Siege, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 and more, then the image is going to look like ass because they don't support HDR, but the PS5 will force an HDR signal regardless unless you turn HDR off in the settings. This only applies to PS5 and not the PS4.
Have you guys ever had issues when the TV is just dark when HDR is enabled? Is that a PS5 issue or a TV issue? I would probably say it was the tv cuz i needed to restart it, like kinda a hard restart. But could it be a PS5 issue too? 🤔

Well considering it's a 240hz monitor, it's definitely not 4k, so you need a 4k panel to be able to use the 2160p option. Also there are only a select number of games that support 120fps.

1:34 Hi, i have a Samsung UHD 6900 (2020) when i select “regulate hdr” it saies “your tv doesn’t support hdr technology” so i cant regulate it… how does its possible? Is there any impostation that i missed out on my tv or its a technical tv problem?
I have a " strange " question:
I remember that for those owning a PS4 PRO, some advised Disabling " Super Sampling " and also " HDR " in order to increase FPS.
Do you think that by setting the Output Resolution to 1080p and disabling " HDR " on the PS5 would increase FPS ( or make them more stable, basically a locked 60 FPS in games like Marvel Avengers )
Thank you very much in advance :)

All you had to say is don't go into your settings! It's already on default settings lol
That would have made it a really short video 🤣
Thanks, was looking at comments before hitting play again cuz I always do that haha
Does 120Hz with VRR work in both modes?
as always, good recommendations.
Yes
Does hig resolution video gaming also affects the over heating in my ps5?
Im still gonna use 2160p to ensure is hit 4k all the time
My TV that I bought specifically for my PS5 is a Vizio 50in 4K 60 hertz TV I got on sale during Christmas of 2020 for $300 plus tax. after playing for a few weeks on my PS5 on this Vizio 4K 60 hertz TV ( didn't get my PS5 till February 28th) I am satisfied with my purchase I don't understand HDR what's the point of it picture already looks fantastic even if I don't mess with the HDR settings. I have it set to Performance mode should I set it to resolution will it still play at 60fps?
With your TV ways set to quality mode. Performance is only for 120fps games which would be a waste on a 60hz screen.
@@diligaf1000 not exactly. Alot of games in resolution mode only run at 30fps since it's in native 4k, and performance mode will bump it to 60fps.

Go to settings and reset your controller settings if that doesn't work you need a new controller that happend to me last eid
Would definitely recommend performance mode over resolution mode
Yeah, I always favor performance. 30 fps mode might look better....until you turn the camera.
Depends on what you favor

1080p with anti aliasing 120 FPS matters alot.

Thanks for the great upload as always, just one question. I swear in one of your other vids about settings, regarding Performance mode v Resolution mode... you said to set to Performance not Resolution. Maybe to optimise something else, but would you elaborate please?
EDIT: I looked back and found the video, it was the one saying to set to Performance mode for the 120hz max.
This is for people who want their games to LOOK the best. Performance mode tones down graphics a bit for a FPS bump, which a lot of people prefer.

Bought a cheap 3m HDMI 2.0 cable that kept randomly cutting out the HDR signal. Was super annoying but I changed the 4K Video Transfer Rate to -2 and it was fixed.
I always put HDR off, it’s makes it look weird for me
What do you mean weird. I have issues with a couple games looking very dark like ac valhalla. I've heard to turn off the hdr butt it didn't help much. It was a little better
Try editing the HDR picture settings on your TV.
I turn it off because of increased input lag. It's not much but slightly noticeable.
@@jessepinkman6253 Lots of TVs have game mode in HDR. Have you tried that out?
@@Anthony-cn8ll yup still noticeable. When turned off my TV got around 12ms input lag. That's very low btw. When I enable hdr I feel like that number doubles. 6ms is the lowest you can get on tv's btw. But 6ms you can only get with a 120fps output cause higher frames decrease input lag too.
Should I enable the Reduce motion option or keep it off?
HDR makes the picture look like crap I always keep it off
