@@andybub45 Well that's depressing. But on a more serious note though, I really don't need more Clone Wars. All I ever wanted was for them to finish the finale and Seige of Mandalore was a dream come true, so I can live with it
The Bad Batch is basically the Five-man Band trope, which works most times. It consist of the Leader, their Foil (often called Lancer), the Brain, the Brawn and the Heart (or The Girl). You could easily see it, Hunter is the Leader, Crosshair is his Foil, Tech is the Brain and Wrecker is the Brawn, while Omega is the Heart. But Crosshair is replaced with Tech, who is also a Brain. So now this Five-man band has two brains and no foil who clashes with the leader. (I have a feeling this is why Echo left the team recently, and either Crosshair will have a change of heart or they pick up someone new.)
Weird part about this show is the main cast is not what people are not interested in anymore. The world they live in is more interesting since it portrays early days of Empire, which is rare in StarWarse universe.
Yep. The Bad Batch were characters that should've stayed as a single arc, because their characterization is so paper thin that it was stretched to its limit within the first episode. The only interesting one was Crosshair, but Season 2 is already pushing hard for him going against the Empire like literally everyone else.
I think it's also due to the fact that most of the characters are just your typical special forces squad stereotypes (tech guy, strong guy, brooding leader, naive rookie), and they haven't really done a lot to build them very far past that
@@whoop6377 To say they're a stereotypes is a massive understatement. I was disappointed by their arc in season 7 of TCW but still decided to give the Bad Batch a chance. After few episodes of season 2 I'm think I've had enough though. Beginning and ending of the first season were memorable, but apart from that it's mostly a waste of time. Tales of the Jedi was far more interesting
Yet Filoni keeps accelerating it for no reason, like really? Stormtroopers on season 1? Destroying Kamino? Cody deserting at his first mission? White Clone Troopers replacing all the legions in a couple of months?
The greatest part about this video is that he made one of these for season 2. It's hidden right in this video: after the video is done playing, you can press this looping arrow that says "replay" and a video that describes every episode of season 2 starts!
'Wrecker this is a stealth mission' 'The Chances of Surviving this are' (Insert generic number) 'I WANNA BLOW TINGS UB I WNA BLUW TIBGS UBB!!!' 'wHeReZ OmUgA!!!!' Sid in a screechy ass voice: 'Just One More Missionnnn.......' Echo:................... *Insert Random Cameo* *Fanservice, Fanservice, Fanservice* Pls Stop.
Season 2 is infuriating already because it feels like the Batch are just bumbling about doing nothing important while Crosshair gets an actual story. Get Boba Fett involved and have him meet Omega; they're the closest thing possible to brother and sister among all the clones. Bring in Delta Squad from Republic Commando (minus Sev) and have them team up with Crosshair to hunt down the Batch. Have Sev pop up as a grizzled survivor who is working WITH the wookies against the empire.
NAHHHHH we need to have omega get lost again that's always more fun then any story related stuff. A part of me was hoping it would be Echo who got brainwashed or whatever that way he goes away at least we have a SNIPER on the team
Sev is alive, that’s just my belief, and also it would be way cooler if they confirmed that, also doesn’t the episode he show up in take place after the game?
I swear, this is so accurate to how the show is structured: The Bad Batch get a job, Omega gets distracted from said job, (while talking about her StRaTeGY) Tech says nerdy stuff, Wrecker wants to blow something up, Crosshair and Hunter have a standoff, *(insert long, drawn-out battle here)* Crosshair claims "i'M dOinG mY dUtY." And Echo does absolutely nothing. The only thing you missed was the fat Trandoshian lady insulting the team and valuing Omega of all people above the rest of them. Honestly, as someone who has a great love for The Clone Wars, I can't tell you how disappointing this show has been for me so far. I'm very skeptical of S2; from what I've seen, it just looks to be more of the same of what we already saw.
Well said dude! Totally agree. I’ll be sure to include the Trandoshian lady in the next one since she’ll no doubt be in it. Lol But yeah fingers crossed S2 gets a little bit more deep.
It’s kinda sad that your the first comment I’ve seen that I agree with The pilot ep and the scene with the clones destroying kamino were the only 2 positive things I could say about the show Me and my dad were both rly disappointed on how the show was structured as some repetitive kids show that gets very boring very quickly
Thanks! I was gonna make a joke about how Crosshair and Tech sound pretty much the same, but then I realized that all the clones sound exactly like each other lol
@@corycoogan7448 Haha! 😂 Have you seen the video where the voice actor Dee Bradley Baker talks about each Bad Batch clone? He said Echo is more grumpy-sounding than the others--maybe because he doesn't get as many lines? Haha!
"Even though you burnt down that village, murdered the townspeople, and destroyed their crops, I know you're still a nice guy!" Hilarious, but like, actually a great point. It's also so inconsistent too; no matter what evil Crosshair does, he's always still "a nice guy" and "tHe ChIp fOrCeD hIm tO", but then the Bad Batch turns around and kill hundreds of other clones in the season who, presumably, have no control over their actions.
It’s kind of been proven throughout the show that everyone in the Bad Batch except Echo don’t really care about any clones who aren’t part of their squad…
I know they're all Clones, but Dave, buddy... You could have written them to have different personality BEYOND their one note. Echo definitely hurts the most. Poor guy was written out of the show and the only impact was wondering why he was in it to begin with.
I do like how Hunter is always a No, But it is worth it for Sid to pester him as they are an elite unit that would cost a fortune to make and train. I feel like the group is still tiring to find out what the hell they can do in this galaxy. seems like they need to find Omega a place and then just fade away or blaze of glory fighting the empire. Curious to see what they do.
This is hilariously true. I do love the series but it has so many rinse and repeat filler episodes that half the time it doesn't feel like its going anywhere
Firstly, these impressions are impeccable. Secondly, I have always wondered how the Bad Batch, a team of elite Clone Troopers famed for their daring and unconventional tactics and battle prowess, with next to zero experience on girls, women, or how to be fathers, reacted and handled it when Omega started puberty.
Also worth mentioning the couple times of "We're going to botch this illicit mission because it's the 'right thing to do', despite the fact that our livelihood depends on it and heaven forbid we lapse into low-neutral-anti-hero territory!"
The bad batch is really frustrating because there's some really great episodes in there (most recently the crosshair and cody one) but it's burried underneath a mountain of Sid's adventure of the week, a few of those episodes would be fine if the overarching story was progressed a bit more
You could cut like half the run time from this show and it wouldn’t really affect anything. It’s annoying because the clone wars wasn’t structured to have a main plot for the most part so the filler episodes there didn’t really have a downside. But this show is supposed to have a main plot but it gets ignored half the time.
Not even an exaggeration about Echo. In Season 2 Episode 4, there’s a moment where each character gets to make a quip before entering a cave system. Echo just looks at Hunter silently for a few seconds before going in. Even the droid gets to make a few excited beeps. But just silence for Echo.
That was where I stopped watching for good. I came back to the show just to see Imperial Commander Cody in anything, and all I wanted was him to be a villain, and I couldn’t even have that! That was fucking bullshit!
@@Ireee702 I don’t know, I guess I wanted one episode that had fanservice that made sense instead of just rewriting existing lore because Filoni is a hack. You know, since season 1 is just a microcosm of that. Every episode is a festival where all your favorite characters make cameos! Don’t check the lore or anything to see if it makes sense! No, let’s just have Kanan here regardless of other stories with him in it that take place at this moment in time!

I think it's also due to the fact that most of the characters are just your typical special forces squad stereotypes (tech guy, strong guy, brooding leader, naive rookie), and they haven't really done a lot to build them very far past that
Because we want them included in that
Not on side quest
When they are included its great
@@whoop6377 To say they're a stereotypes is a massive understatement.
I like how you even mimicked Omega's weird accent compared to everyone else
You're actually on point with the voices, especially on Tech and Crosshair like holy shit
you missed your chance to throw in the "reackaa" that always killed me
Watched both seasons. Still love this video.
Echo having no lines is so accurate
This video got me to watch bad batch, i just finished season 2.
This can't be more true lmao although that sad finale :(
And it’s still true for season two
I am disturbed by how accurate this is
It hurts how perfectly accurate this is.
The greatest part about this video is that he made one of these for season 2. It's hidden right in this video: after the video is done playing, you can press this looping arrow that says "replay" and a video that describes every episode of season 2 starts!
This aged like fine wine for season 3 lmao
The voices are absolutely perfect.
“Omega, you saved us just in time!”
“Yup, cause tHaT’s mY sTrAtEegYaiY
The fact that this still holds up for most of season 2 is diabolical
They wrote out Echo in episode 8 because he had nothing to do 😂
Lol love the crosshair voice. It’s sad how formulaic this stuff is
'Wrecker this is a stealth mission'
'The Chances of Surviving this are' (Insert generic number)
'I WANNA BLOW TINGS UB I WNA BLUW TIBGS UBB!!!'
'wHeReZ OmUgA!!!!'
Sid in a screechy ass voice: 'Just One More Missionnnn.......'
Echo:...................
*Insert Random Cameo*
*Fanservice, Fanservice, Fanservice*
Pls Stop.
If we get a Sev and Wookie team up I will jump in joy
@@vladhunter9269 looks like we had our chance and they skipped it.
Sev is alive, that’s just my belief, and also it would be way cooler if they confirmed that, also doesn’t the episode he show up in take place after the game?
It’s funny how the bad batch and delta squad each have one defector (technically the opposite in the batch’s case I guess)
Spot on and great voice acting man! I miss the bad batch, can’t wait for January
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks a lot!
Lol
But yeah fingers crossed S2 gets a little bit more deep.
@@corycoogan7448 Agreed. BTW, your Clone voice is actually pretty good!
It’s kinda sad that your the first comment I’ve seen that I agree with
The pilot ep and the scene with the clones destroying kamino were the only 2 positive things I could say about the show
Me and my dad were both rly disappointed on how the show was structured as some repetitive kids show that gets very boring very quickly
Now you know how people felt when Rebels came out
@@JamesHightower18 I thought the Ryloth episodes were pretty great, but yeah, besides the pilot and finale that's about it
The wrecker voice and attitude was spot on. He's usually the explosives comedy relief and this nailed it.
Don't forget that every episode they face some kind of beast
I hate how accurate this is. I hate how still accurate this is, lol.
Oh man this is awesome!!! The voices are so good! Poor Echo--!!! 😂😂😂 Super video!!
Haha!
@@CaptainJiffy No I did not but that totally makes sense lol
"Even though you burnt down that village, murdered the townspeople, and destroyed their crops, I know you're still a nice guy!"
Hilarious, but like, actually a great point.
What do you mean? They used a heck of a lot of stuns in the first 2 seasons, and only stopped after the Empire replaced clones with TK troopers.
I know they're all Clones, but Dave, buddy... You could have written them to have different personality BEYOND their one note. Echo definitely hurts the most. Poor guy was written out of the show and the only impact was wondering why he was in it to begin with.
Ok HuNtEr got me dead on the floor💀
Cid: Hry boys, I got a job for yahs.
Hunter: No
Cid: The pay's decent
Hunter: Yes
I do like how Hunter is always a No, But it is worth it for Sid to pester him as they are an elite unit that would cost a fortune to make and train. I feel like the group is still tiring to find out what the hell they can do in this galaxy. seems like they need to find Omega a place and then just fade away or blaze of glory fighting the empire. Curious to see what they do.
Second season dropped and nothing has changed
i should have stayed in the 501st -echo
I love when they give us one good episode that’s relevant to the main plot and then the rest are just boring side quests
TBB summed up in one sentence.
“No, Wait Omega!”
This is hilariously true. I do love the series but it has so many rinse and repeat filler episodes that half the time it doesn't feel like its going anywhere
Lol, just finished watching the show, and this is a good summary of it
Firstly, these impressions are impeccable.
Secondly, I have always wondered how the Bad Batch, a team of elite Clone Troopers famed for their daring and unconventional tactics and battle prowess, with next to zero experience on girls, women, or how to be fathers, reacted and handled it when Omega started puberty.
This is the whole show... all three seasons.
They did this in the finale episode twice
I genuinely just keep rewatching this because your impressions are actually really good. Like, Tech especially too. Bravo.
The lack of Echo's role is just so true
LMAO I loved the "OK HUNTER!!"
Every part of Omega made me cry laughing and how Hunter still thinks Crosshair is a great guy
Also worth mentioning the couple times of "We're going to botch this illicit mission because it's the 'right thing to do', despite the fact that our livelihood depends on it and heaven forbid we lapse into low-neutral-anti-hero territory!"
Accurate. Mercenaries and hero’s can interlap but they aren’t the same thing. Yet, the show tried to make them that
I laughed so hard! Season two is basically the same but without Crosshair
The bad batch is really frustrating because there's some really great episodes in there (most recently the crosshair and cody one) but it's burried underneath a mountain of Sid's adventure of the week, a few of those episodes would be fine if the overarching story was progressed a bit more
You're forgetting the part where the random scary beast monster thing comes in and gets killed off in 30 seconds
Echo being mentioned but having no substance was too real for me
Okay, I loved the show but this was hilarious lmao
Same
no it suxked
@@Juju_Box huh ?
@@Juju_Box They just said they "loved" the show. Technically they didn't say it was "good".
@@besttiger640 He just said the show "suxked". Technically he didn't say it was "bad".
this video keep showing up in my recommandation at least twice a day... I watch it everytime lol
They coulda done so much with the sniper one that I don't even remember, he coulda been such a cool villain
Your impression of Tech and Wrecker is spot on bro LMFAO
I love bad batch but this had me rolling. This is scarily accurate even into season 2
LMAO SAME 😭 poor echo getting disrespected constantly
You could cut like half the run time from this show and it wouldn’t really affect anything. It’s annoying because the clone wars wasn’t structured to have a main plot for the most part so the filler episodes there didn’t really have a downside. But this show is supposed to have a main plot but it gets ignored half the time.
I honestly don’t even remember what the main plot was supposed to be at this point. Maybe that’s why I actually like the Bad Batch.
You forgot about Wrecker lifting Gonky.
OKAY HENTER!! 😂😂
Season 2: some kind of big creature in every goddamn episode...
The impressions are actually really good lol
Not even an exaggeration about Echo. In Season 2 Episode 4, there’s a moment where each character gets to make a quip before entering a cave system. Echo just looks at Hunter silently for a few seconds before going in. Even the droid gets to make a few excited beeps. But just silence for Echo.
Aged like a fine wine
This is so insanely spot on it’s nuts. Bad batch isn’t a good show. No arcs, no depth, no real point to it.
I like how they keep having echo saying they can do more as an elite batch of clones yet were on season 2 of Sids wacky adventures
Every episode. Every single one.
dude i love this show, but this still cracked me up with tears in my eyes. 10/10
Why is this still accurate
0:24 “OwKaiah HiNtuHâ”
This is why my favourite episode of Bad Batch was Season 2 Episode 3. I hope things start to pick up soon.
That was where I stopped watching for good. I came back to the show just to see Imperial Commander Cody in anything, and all I wanted was him to be a villain, and I couldn’t even have that! That was fucking bullshit!
@@thefilmwatcher1302 yea Cody being good was bullshit I wanted a massive battle that ends with Rex killing Cody
@@kurtpunchesthings2411 I just wanted Cody being a ruthless villain.
@@thefilmwatcher1302 "oh no, the show is bad because I don't get what I'm crying for"
@@Ireee702 I don’t know, I guess I wanted one episode that had fanservice that made sense instead of just rewriting existing lore because Filoni is a hack.
You know, since season 1 is just a microcosm of that. Every episode is a festival where all your favorite characters make cameos! Don’t check the lore or anything to see if it makes sense! No, let’s just have Kanan here regardless of other stories with him in it that take place at this moment in time!
