Personally, I love that they left Anakin with his blue saber. To me, it always added a much more devastating, gut-wrenching feeling seeing two blue sabers going against each other with the perfect red fiery background as it captivated that feeling of betrayal and loss as two people, who were once brothers now turned enemies, have to fight to the death. Not to mention that those two blue sabers weren’t just any sabers, as they were Anakin’s and Obi Wan’s. Seeing the two blue sabers swinging at each other really made me think to myself “how did it come to this?” Adding so much more emotion to the scene for me.

It was a lazy way to end a fight that they did not know how to end.
Anakin has been sold as intelligent, prudent, the less reckless of the two and has precognition so he would know the jump would fail and would never have attempted it.
Obiwan throughout the series wins purely due to plot armor, they do not even try to explain how he wins against Maul nor Grievous.
What they should have used was that Obiwan is better trained in the force and simply uses something that Anakin was never taught to defeat him.

    • @HuckFlynn
      @HuckFlynn Год назад +1

@@gideonlovecraft3134 This. The way Obiwan "defeated" Darth Maul was ludicrous and came from a vastly more compromised position than just not having "the high ground(tm)". If Lucas really did try drawing some sort of parallel between that silliness and the bitter, poignant, devastating clash between these two brothers is not just lazy and stupid, it's downright insulting. And all of this ignores the fact that in several movies, Jedi have force-jumped VASTLY higher than anything in this fight -- so why jump right into melee range? Why not leap 30' in the air and come down like a vengeful Sith Lord? Cuz they had no idea how to force the loss that everything else in their plot depended on. Classic blunder: write something that must happen and then develop characters that cannot fit into that event. Hayden was perfect in this sequence and portrayed someone that never would have lost in such a pathetic manner. Blah.

People always complain about the dialogue of Anakin in the Prequels, and often forget he is a teenager who literally marries a princess and becomes a knight. He's living a fairytale, and when everything starts to fall apart, that is when Anakin begins to turn to the darkside.
Another thing to note is that Obi-wan trained Anakin. People complain that Anakin and Obi-wan's fight looks a bit too much like they are widely flailing and doing unnecessary moves, but they aren't. They are essentially fighting a mirror, with Obi-wan prioritizing defense and Anakin being hyper-aggressive, despite being trained in a heavily defensive style. The moment that is most telling is when they do the twirl and for several seconds, nothing happens - they're doing the same defensive move to stave off attacks. Anakin's fighting style only really changes when he becomes Vader and is unable to move as nimbly, and specifically develops a style meant to combat lightsabers.

His powers heightened by the dark side, the methodical, purposeful attacks and movement speaks to him almost playing with Obi Wan. Very great physica acting.

I always wondered if Anakin actually still stand a chance after losing the high ground to Obi-Wan assuming that his mind was calmer. If Anakin tried to jump side ways, Obi-Wan can possibly follow him and then slash him. If Anakin throws lava at him, Obi-Wan can push it back and Anakin would have very little room to dodge it (he can push it back again but we all know from an earlier scene that force attacks from both sides are actually even matched so what that might lead to is lava ends up spilling everywhere but Obi-Wan would have plenty of room to dodge it while Anakin has practically none). There seems to be a lot of choice for outplay but in fact Anakin's options were quite limited.

Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation has been unfolding since Jesus died. The Popes have claimed to be equal to God and set themselves in Jesus' place (antichrist(s)). Vatican City (Which is its own nation BTW) have risen up to fulfill the role of the false prophet
Regarding the man of lawlessness or antichrist, 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says “Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” The restrainer that the Apostle Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians was the Western Roman Emperor, who held back the Popes from taking power. Once the last Western Roman Emperor was removed from power in 476 AD, the Pope was given civil and ecclesiastic authority over Rome; healing the deadly head wound of the beast in Revelation 13, as they took the Emperors title of Pontifex Maximus, leader of the church and state.
“We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.)
Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.)
Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” (Source: Pope Leo XIII Encyclical Letter, June 20, 1894)
The antichrist sea beast of Revelation points to the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, who controlled the Roman beast for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD.
Daniel 7:25 says “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The Popes of Rome spoke against Elohim and proclaimed to be God. They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538-1798 AD. during which they caused tens of millions of saints to be killed.
The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, and equates numerically to the number 666

if you ask me a lot of these ideas got reappropriated for the Kenobi show anyway. Im still happy with the finished film version of the fight, and thats normally how it goes with filmmaking, the sequence is more over stuffed at the beginning in the assembly as they are not sure how much footage they will needed so they make it longer, and trim it down till what they think is the very best bits that ends up in the 20 minutes, they make the best calls they think at the time. But yeah any ideas left on the table like i say can make it into subsequent Star Wars media so its not gone forever :)
Good video, keep up the Good work! ^_^
Also, like you say the bit with the balance beam, Obi wan getting debris thrown at him was more overtop, yeah agreed but there you go its a long sequence and they probably thought do we need a funny bit in the middle to let down the tension? They don't know and its hard to say how far is too far? when they look at it all cut together they can see if its too much and they scale back abit till they feel its the right balance of things.

I could easily think how the gazing scene would have in fact NOT been "creepy." The animatics are just that... animatics meant to provide a 3D mapping of how the scene would play out. The models don't convey the emotion the actors would. So while they're staring intently at each other, Anakin's scowl never falters, but Obi-Wan's would... only briefly, as he realized that the man he raised and cared about is very much trying to kill him. With that realization, Obi-Wan's face would reharden as his resolve to defend himself and defeat this Sith Lord returned.

Its a shame how rude you’ve been in your dealings with Nick.
Hoping others see that interview and this channel is seen for what it is…a cash grab on someone else’s content.

What I said to Nick was absolutely disrespectful, abhorrent, and outright vile. However, it’s important to establish that Nick is leaving out key elements of the story as to why those things were said at all. He’s also adding in some lies (such as that I removed his logo/watermark, which I never did). Nevertheless, there is no excuse for the things that I said to such a hero in the fanbase, but I simply got caught up in my own rage of the moment. Allow me to explain from the very beginning.
My conversation with Nick first began on October 14 when I explained that I like to analyze scenes that were deleted from Star Wars. I asked him if he could share the extended Palpatine vs 4 Jedi footage. I spoke to him with nothing but adoration, praise, and respect.
2 weeks later on November 1st, he shared the very footage that I had asked for, and I sent him another message letting him know how much I appreciated him for doing that. We chatted back and forth a bit, but I didn’t hear back from him again until about a week later.
On November 8th, rather than texting me like usual, he sent me an email cursing at me.
Despite him cursing at me, I was very apologetic, respectful, and even said “If you want me to remove anything or make any changes, please just let me know...”
He didn’t respond to me, so I decided to send him another text message where I told him
“Hopefully you can see man to man, that this was just a misunderstanding. I fully apologize and want you to know that I’m genuinely sorry.
If you’d like me to remove the content, please let me know…”
He NEVER responded to this text message, and I did not hear from him again until 2 months later.
I was more than willing to take down the videos, or make any adjustments, but then in January, I received 6 copyright takedown notifications from Nick. This was when I sent those nasty messages to him.
Was I wrong? Of course I was. There’s no excuse for that amount of disrespect. I was just very upset and overwhelmed about my channel receiving so many copyright strikes when I had specifically told him that I would just remove anything that he wanted me to.
I would like the opportunity to apologize to Nick myself, but naturally, I have since been blocked.

Some of those deleted clips are very impressive. Hayden and the choreographers did a great job. One of my favorite sword fights in cinema is the one at the end of "House of Flying Daggers". The reason being is it's such an emotional scene and you can see it in the choreography. I felt something similar watching some of these deleted clips from ep3.

I don't think there will ever be another star wars actor to put in as much work like Hayden did with the lightsaber. Most actors take the easy route and get a stunt double to do it for them but I love the fact that Hayden took time and effort to do it flawlessly himself.
And honestly it really perplexed me how so many people had so much hate on his portrayal and acting as Anakin. I always thought it was right on point. Anakin was always supposed to be a highly emotional person.. And so many people hated on him saying he acted like a little brat or something.
What perplexes me is the fact that so many people view things in such small minded ways and easily follow the crowd and common and trending perspectives on things...
Sorry I just needed to say that.. But really not sorry 😉 cause it's true.

From the moment i watched the prequals for the first time, I loved Hayden as Anakin. He was-still is-so right for the role. You can feel every emotion coursing through Anakin, you can feel his hurt, his frustration, his confliction, his fear, his arrogance. You know what he's thinking by merely observing his body language. It takes a truly talented actor to pull that off, and not to even mention the sheer dedication that Hayden had for this character.
I can literally not imagine live-action Anakin being played by anyone else. Hayden did it perfectly and he deserved so much more praise than what he got when these movies came out. I'm so glad people are finally recognizing it.

@@StarWarsAnalyst Then why not take them down and re-establish communication with Nick to sort this out? Your own reply here admits something that you're possibly leaving out, you asked him for the videos to analyze the scenes but did you explicitly request if you could use the videos to post on youtube with your analysis? If you did is this in writing? You gave no credit where the videos came from either. He provided you the videos but under what pretense? Your response above does not indicate that you verbalized or wrote that your intention was to use them publicly.
If I woke up one morning to see a video I owned trending on youtube or getting a million views but I never authorized for it to be released, yeah I'd be pissed too and have every right to verbalize my distaste with you.
Like you said, it sounds like this may be one big misunderstanding but what have you done to rectify it with Nick other than keep the videos up and act like a Child towards him?

The kenobi episode with the anakin vs obiwan mini duel was literally a representation of anakins faults. Anakin beat obi-wan in the duel, but just because he gloated and showed arrogance, Obiwan was able to steal anakins lightsaber and come out on top.
