Hey Bobby, are you trying to livestream? Livestreaming to FB will work but if you're just trying to record right to your stock camera app on your Android, then none of them will work. I'm actually going to make a tutorial today on how to do it to a camera app but you'll have to download from app store. Will have a video out today for it. The one I'm looking at is "Open Camera" and it's free :)

My audio is choppy when i try to do this :( I have the right cables and I've checked them, they're working, i use an audio interface. any tips? :(. trying to connect my computers audio or audio interface audio to my phone for live streaming. I have dual (2 in 1: left and right) to trs cable, then trrs adapter to my aux lightning dongle. But the audio is cutting up and i’ve tried everything. All cables are working, i’ve tried them independently. I’ve also tried it on another phone and same issue.
Odyssey Bill I’ve sorted it out! I had trouble with the TRRS adapter splitter (with mic port and headphone port), i found that the issue was that the phone was sending back what i was sending as input (feedback) therefore it was cutting the in signal. So i bought a single port TRRS adapter with just one port and problem solved!!

Is it possible to get a wireless audio transceiver in place of the cables to link my phone and my sound console to improve mobility during my live streaming sessions?
Two questions: Do you have just adjust the main out level on your mixer or do you have to do that anywhere on the phone? And, is you shirt printed mirror imaged to look correct on FB live?
OMG you are a Bad@ss!! Just subbed to your channel! I'm a bass player by trade and it's so hard to find pocket bad@ss drummers! NICE! Oh and glad I could help :) Vic

I'm trying to do Facebook Live using my iPhone 12, and running the audio through a Yamaha mixer--for high quality sound--preferably through the USB interface. I got the adapter you mention here, but it doesn't seem to work with the lightning adapter. iPhone 12 has no headphone jack, only the lightning jack at the bottom. How do I get audio from my mixer to my iPhone?
What do I need to stream music from my phone or pc and hear it to my DJ speakers? I am using pioneer ddjsx controller and want to sound good coming out from speakers. Do I need to buy a DJ sound card?
Hello. May i know to which plug should u insert the jacks? Our mixer has Aux send, fx send, L mono and R return, Main outputs L and R. I don't know which to use. Thanks and u have a better video tutorial than others. Most are confusing for noobs like me.
Hi there, great vid! I just a have question. Does it work in stereo or mono? I mean, ex: if you pan your guitar to the left, will it work, or will it still be in mono?
no you can't pan this way, it multi mono, you can get a USB mixer and use usb to so true stereo, I have a video for that here: ruclips.net/video/oSAOkUMa8zk/видео.html
Totally awesome 👍 thanks such for doing this video. I manage audio. For church and I really needed this. Thanks a million, great job! May the Lord keep You safe
Are u able to record instruments not going through the mixer ? As well can the mics be heard through the speakers while being transmitted through the converter/mixer. For example I want mics to go through the converter but everything else I want picked up via the phones mic

JIMMY thanks for ur explanation i ordered the three cords u suggested to do Facebook live and well 2 come the next day / the trss adapter did not come yet / so I have the trs to trss adapter / and the high-speed wire cable with 2 male quarter-inch inputs / i got my computer hooked up to my Yamaha mixer for sound / for kicks i hooked up that cable with 2 quarter inch imputs in the stereo out and my Facebook audio is very clear on live on my ANDROID PHONE - but cannot get the sound ( music on the computer to come through? AM i missing something or do i just wait for the TRSS adapter to get here to hook up to my phone?
Quick question, does the iPhone take in the audio as stereo, or does it sum it to mono? I've seen people say that iPhones only accept mono signal, but then again companies sell stereo phone mics like Shure MV88. Thanks for the great video and all the info!
1) Great video! It was very informative! 2) Does this also work if you have an audio interface running through a DAW on a computer? I'm guessing yes as long as the sound is coming back through the outputs of the interface? 3) Can this method be used with TikTok?
Hoping to use this for experiments with internet music. Thanks for the clear breakdown of what’s involved, it’s good to have little reminders of the basics.
Hello Jimmy, why didn't you use the USB port in the back of the mixer and then connect it to your phone using an adapter? Just a question for curiosity because I'm planning to buy the same mixer. Thank you 🤘🤘
Hi Victor! Actually need your assistance. Just looking for interface for my iOS devices. Specifically I wanna record/stream video by iOS devices with stereo sound from my pioneer classic mixer. I tried to connect my mixer 2xRCA line out to iPad Pro via mini jack (with trs/trrs converter) but distorted signal looks mono and too hot for iPad mic jack. I bought iOS lightning/usb/type-c adapter to go digital with external sound interface. Seems ProMovie app grabs mono only signal. Would you recommend iOS Video recording app with stereo sound grabbed from external interface? And external sound interface for iOS devices as well? Best!

If your mixer has a usb output you can connect them directly using ios or android usb camera/keyboard adapter.I bought all the cables then out of curiosity i tried the usb output on my mixer and it worked. That usb camera adapter had already came with the Pixel 3a i was using so i didnt even have to buy anything. Too late now.

I used: TS 1/4" to 3.5mm-male cable (TS 1/4" plugged into Monitor-Out Port on my Apollo Twin X Duo souncard). And then 3.5mm-male to TRS-TRRS. And then TRS-TRRS to 3.5mm female to lightning (included with my iPhone). Could not get any signal on my iPhone (Used meta recorder to ensure that the iPhone is getting signal from headset rather than iPhone microphone). I plugged the 3.5mm male to a speaker and I heard the music just fine. What did I do wrong here?
This video helps a lot! Just one thing I want to clarify, you said that I don’t need any special app on my phone when doing FB live with my mixer plugged in?
i have a question i am using 1.5M 3 RCA Audio Video Plug to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Jack Cable Wire Adapter Adaptor Cord Connector... its only one cable wire..when i connect it to my cellphone to make livestreaming... the sound on the other end is sooo bad, sometimes loud then low...with bass and no bass...can u help?
Thanks for posting this. I am trying to get this to work for live-streaming my band. However, having some issues and if you or anyone has any suggestions, I welcome them. We tried this with 2 mics and a guitar direct in the board and my bass going through my amp, which was connected to the board. It has been hard to tweak to where there isn’t something crunching when we play back. We were just testing, haven’t even added the fiddle and mando. I wasn’t able to go from the board with 1/4” stereo because the outputs are stereo xlr, stereo rca, and mono 1/4”. Tried with the rca. Figured it was not advisable to go from the speaker output as it is a powered mixer. Do you think changing to the rca affected the quality? Is this method better for a single instrument and vocals rather than multiple players? Thanks in advance
yes you just need the right video app, this video is using a usb mixer but it will also show you the right video app and you don't need a usb mixer you can use TRS to TRRS but it will show you the right apps ruclips.net/video/oSAOkUMa8zk/видео.html
Very informative video. Nice. I am Kaushik Chatterjee, from India. I wants to know about your that device which you attached to phone & other part to trrs cord.
I want to use my iPad for a doing podcast interviews with other people over something like skype or zoom. I was thinking of buying a usb audio interface that has xlr in, headphone and line out. Do you think it would work if I connect my my mic and headphone to my interface, connect the audio interface to my ipad, do a skype call on my ipad, and connect the line out to trrrs and connect that to my phone, and record the audio from the interface to the iPhone in a recording app? I have no idea if it would work, but I am thinking of getting the yamaha thriia interface/amp for this purpose. I wonder if the headphone would prevent line out from working. Any insight on how to record skype chats without a computer would be really useful! I just have an iPad and iPhone and my feeling is its possible if I use both.
Need help pls. We are using fb live in our church and we only have phone connected to a mixer via rca to trrs. Mixer is also connected to an amplifier for thr venue's speaker system. We cannot get rid of the noise. A little ground sound but mostly like wind or rain noise. It has lesser noise if someone is already speaking. Do I need a DI box to remove the noise, or is it just reallg the fb live as it seems like there is no noise if we use Zoom but the prob is Zoom needs an acct upgrade for more 40mins.
Hi. Nice video, congratulations. unfortunately, being Italian, I can't follow you well. i have a usb mixer and an android. First of all, is this system used to shoot you on video while you play and sing taking the audio from the mixer? did I get it right? if i want to connect the android mobile phone to the mixer then i have to use this adapter in the picture and connect it to the mobile phone. then to the female I connect a stereo minijack which on the other side has two 6.3 mono jacks. quite right? and where should these two mono jacks be inserted? can I use two rca with stereo minijack? it's the same? thanks.
Hi! Thanks for watching! If you're using the camera app on your Android, the stock camera app will not work. This video is for Livestreaming. BUT I'm going to make another video TODAY on what camera app to use to do what you're trying to do. Not sure what mixer you're using but I wouldn't use RCA outs, I would use your main outs into your phone using quarter inch. And don't monitor yourself through floor monitors. Monitor yourself through headphones or in-ears, otherwise you will pick up too much noise through your microphones. Look out for my next video today :).

i am trying to send my computer sound card audio to my phone while recording video on my phone .... i have a stereo 1/8 male plugged into a trs to trrs adapter into my headphone jack on my android and its just not working i got the adapter from radio shack it has a 3 ring male plug and 2 females one female is red for monotone mic i guess and it has a green female for stereo audio .... kinda wondering if i got the wrong adapter
3-ring is a trrs and you have to have an adapter that will convert it down to a trs.. need to convert to a 2-ring. sorry i didn't see this message i don't think before. I'm going to make a video today about that app, check it, hopefully it will help. will have up for android and iphone! :). Thanks for watching
You are amazing!!! Thank you. I will be following you on facebook 🎉 I was trying to figure out how to connect my mixer to my iPhone to record quality video & audio
Hi Jimmy, I have the iPhone 11 and I downloaded the movie pro+ app. I have all the cables that you recommend connected, but the app will not recognize audio input from my monitor. I only get the audio from my phone with this app & no other options. What might I be doing wrong?
Did you get the TRS to TRRS converter? On the app did you select audio devise? Also I think on iphones there is a settings for external mic, I can't remember
Yes I got the converter, but the app does not recognize or give me any other options to change audio setting. I got everything else working, and it will be cool when I get this figured out. Maybe this app doesn’t work for my iPhone 11 the same way. I will keep trying or try another video app with more audio functions. I’m almost there, Thanks!😁
please , i have a question. someone told me if i connect TRS to adapter TS female to TRS male on insert will change to work a direct output ? that right ? or 2. use 1/4-inch TRS Female to 1/4-inch TRS Male Headphone Extension Cable
hi jimm where did you get your effects because in my case i have xynex 802 ,I´m using external reverb from alesis ,but when i record thru iphone xr theres no effex at all, how is it.
My mixer is a big one that has its output for speakers at the back and has a monitor out, a main out left and right, and a headphone out. Now my question is, where should I insert the jack for recording if I need the output at the back for speakers? And also, can I use a single TRS cable rather than left and right? Would appreciate if you could answer my questions ☺️
you would still need the TRS to TRRS converter cord, and don't come out the back of speaker, you can come out the main, or use monitor out or headphones will work
So I assume that if my output from my board is running 0 to +3 db, that the input to the Android phone that is making the broadcast, is at optimal gain with no distortion ? Is there an input meter app that can measure the input on the phone side ??
Hi Jim... Nice video.. I have a question.? Can I make an video/audio at the same time through my android and upload it on youtube? With the exact setup you have..?
This is a perfect workaround to be able to livestream with a better audio quality. However, I tested this yesterday and found out the mic from the phone is still picking up sound in addition of the audio coming thru the mixer. I'm trying to find a way to have just the mixer audio when livestreaming to fb with my phone, I would like to avoid the audio around the phone, is there a way to do that? Some people that are seating near the phone tripod can still be heard thru the livestream, I would like to avoid that without having to ask them to move. Please let me know if there is a way to turn off the phone mic and use only the mixer audio as the external mic. Thanks

I get distortion on my iPhone? From my mixer put / w trs to try’s to lightning. Sounds clean not overdriven from mixer?
Can I use that to sing to a beat with auto tune from Fl studio on Facebook live ??
My audio is choppy when i try to do this :( I have the right cables and I've checked them, they're working, i use an audio interface. any tips? :(.
trying to connect my computers audio or audio interface audio to my phone for live streaming. I have dual (2 in 1: left and right) to trs cable, then trrs adapter to my aux lightning dongle. But the audio is cutting up and i’ve tried everything. All cables are working, i’ve tried them independently. I’ve also tried it on another phone and same issue.
did you test same arrangement from another audio source?
Odyssey Bill I’ve sorted it out! I had trouble with the TRRS adapter splitter (with mic port and headphone port), i found that the issue was that the phone was sending back what i was sending as input (feedback) therefore it was cutting the in signal.
So i bought a single port TRRS adapter with just one port and problem solved!!

I'm trying to do Facebook Live using my iPhone 12, and running the audio through a Yamaha mixer--for high quality sound--preferably through the USB interface.

I do exactly what you do and get distorted sound to the stream. Can you help?
Quick question, does the iPhone take in the audio as stereo, or does it sum it to mono? I've seen people say that iPhones only accept mono signal, but then again companies sell stereo phone mics like Shure MV88. Thanks for the great video and all the info!
trrs is mono therefore mono sound
Hi question can this work on Samsung s7 and does it work for Instagram as well
1) Great video!
Thank you :)

You shouldn't, I tried it with my android and wife's iphone and they worked fine :)
i have a question i am using 1.5M 3 RCA Audio Video Plug to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Jack Cable Wire Adapter Adaptor Cord Connector... its only one cable wire..when i connect it to my cellphone to make livestreaming... the sound on the other end is sooo bad, sometimes loud then low...with bass and no bass...can u help?
Does this work for just recording a video on your phone ? With the mixer audio ?
yes you just need the right video app, this video is using a usb mixer but it will also show you the right video app and you don't need a usb mixer you can use TRS to TRRS but it will show you the right apps ruclips.net/video/oSAOkUMa8zk/видео.html

Question: Now how do I route DAW Sound effects from my pc while streaming from phone ?
Hi just watched this video does it work on behringer xenyx 802
Thank you THIS is the video I’ve been searching for, looking forward to trying this!
Do I need a DI box to remove the noise, or is it just reallg the fb live as it seems like there is no noise if we use Zoom but the prob is Zoom needs an acct upgrade for more 40mins.
its most likely your rca cord or a grounding problem :)

I was trying to figure out how to connect my mixer to my iPhone to record quality video & audio
Does your mixer has a built in audio interface?
No need for amplifiers?
Just phone and mixer?
I got a Samsung Note 9 and i don't manage to have audio IN even with this adaptor. Do i need to use a TRS mini jack to USB-C ?

hi jimm where did you get your effects because in my case i have xynex 802 ,I´m using external reverb from alesis ,but when i record thru iphone xr theres no effex at all, how is it.

This is a perfect workaround to be able to livestream with a better audio quality.
