I am so grateful for Henny!!!! His setup works. I couldn’t find a lightning adapter with a USB and a charger, so I bought just the USB adapter and charged the mixer through the back. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. THANK YOU HENNY!!!!!
You completely did not show the connection from the iPhone to the mixer.. skipped over it.. I'm a step by step guy... it would have been a great to see you hook up your iPhone to the mixer... To me.. the sound is most important, that's what people need to pop these videos. #js
You should run it back and show each section you're plugging up. From the laptop to the mixer.. from the iPhone to the mixer.. the wireless lavs.. Come on bro.. video is too good not to show the whole thing.. EMPOWER US.
We currently stream with a Rode go setup. We use the Rode TRS to TRRS cable into a dongle and it records right into the IPhone. All other effects are edited in. The Rode Go gives Great quality!!
This is dope! I need this setup! Powerful. I am a preacher, music producer, and Cybersecurity teacher. My sound is what I care about the most. Great ideas!
Thank you so much for sharing. I bought the Rode Go but it didn't work for real dance teaching. With the music on it was cutting my voice. I returned it but later on I realized that I should have added a Lavalier to it, another 100$. People like you are really helping us out. Gratidao!

Yo you absolutely crushed this video. I can’t believe I have every single item laying around in my apartment I never thought to hook it all up. Thank you so much for that great insight. Blessings
What I’d love to see is a video on how to record an audio chat, from skype or zoom or whatever, on the iPad. This video comes close, but it seems a bit more complicated to capture a recording of the audio to create an remote interview podcast without a Mac. I was wondering if you can connect a mic and headphone to the mixer, the mixer to the iPad with Skype, and perhaps route out the Line Outs in the mixer to an iPhone to record the audio? Would that work? I’d love to try it but don’t have the equipment yet.
Hey man so is the audio being picked up by the lav mic or is it a direct feed from your mixer? I’m having a hard time getting a direct audio source from my video camera (c 200) into my computer. When I try a direct connection from a lav it’s all distorted and high frequency sounding. If the sound just gets picked up from the lav mic it’s better than just your phone mic?
Appreciate ya tone bruh. Question though how is the phone hooked to the mixer? I seen the iPhone charger cord but is going into the back of the the mixer ?
Yo Henny - I’m a music teacher who’s recording all my lessons for my kiddos with the (insane) Apogee HypeMic based as your review you did. Easily the best audio I’ve ever heard into my iPhone. Thanks for turning me onto it - it’s stellar! Using it boom mounted and sometimes desk mounted next to a piano, drum practice pad, and more. Just killer. Hope you’re good, man!
Great stuff 👍 It would be good if you could EQ the Rode mic to mimic the sound of your main mic, with more low end boost etc. Although I don’t think the mixer software is on iOS? So it would have to be done on a computer. But once set, those settings are saved on the Yamaha.
500$ set up ?! What a dream! Prior to covid, I would have easily spent 500 bucks just on cabs or get a metrocard LOL. Thank you so much for taking us though step by step and how to connect everything.
Thanks for the detailed instructions! Perfect setup for my wife’s dance exercise business while we’re on Stay Home restrictions. I went with the AG06 for future expansion potential; already had the Rode Mic Go, camera connection kit, etc. Perfect timing!
Thank You very useful video. Hope I will be able to connect to do live streaming using my keyboard and the AG03 which I already have. I would prefer to use a normal microphone a I play and sing too !
Thank you for your video.Very informative. I’m working on my sound and lighting for my cooking channel. I bought a Zoom H5 and I’m still learning how to use it. Just got it.
Great Video.Thank You very much. Can you explain, please set up for live streaming .I have Bose L I Mod II for sound, mixer Bose Tonematch 1,various microphones, I phone x. I am singing with backing tracks.
Hi Henny. I wonder if you can made this connection but using your iPad as the main source of your recording. From the mixer to the iPad. If you had use switcher studio would be helpful …
Thank you so much for this video. I’m not so much into doing lives but when I’m doing pre-records, of my music production, these tools will help me be creative when show casing. Salute brother.
Juuuust found you tonight. And totally feel ya, muh brotha! I appreciate your good vibes AND AV insight. Bc duddddde.... I am RIGHT THERE ... in that situation of pivot. Like, "shit, what's my next move??" I had my game plan downnnn for this year. But wit this world change, ALLL my shit got cancelled n thrown out. Cool. Keep up the good, bruh!!
This is a great video! Do you have a video explaining how to do this using a DAW like Logic so you can run your mic/guitar/etc. through Logic for the professional quality sound then out to a livestream?
what piece are you specifically using to connect to your lap top, what is the second pair of wires you hook to that device as well . Thanks for the video, well done.
This video is perfect and made something so complicated (for me) easy to understand! Thank you!!!! question- if the ipad were to be connected to the speakers via Bluetooth would that bypass the need to plug the iPad into the mixer? last Question - is it possible to do this set up reverse with the music coming from the phone and live streaming on the iPad?
Great How to! thanks! 1 Q, as a mobile DJ, it would be good to know if you can power the Yamaha mixer with a USB power bank? or it needs a mains power supply? Or does the power source powering your iPhone also power the Yamaha mixer?
Oh, I see.... Henny is all bombastic and big unless it is 12:30, and then Mrs. Henny and the little Henny's set his volume ;) Always love the content, man!!
I love that you made this video , I have the Yamaha Ag06 mk2 mixer and that whole set but issue I'm having now is how do I connect to my cdj dj controller, can you help with this?
Not sure if I have a need for a mixer but liked the recommendation. I do love the wireless go tho... and shoutout for the old school Seahawks shirt!!! Steve Largent my guy.
$30 Rode SC-6 (cheap) or SC-6L (extra features for iPhone users $80) plus a pair of TRRS to headphone - mic splitter cables $9 could help. Should be able to use a second device to play music into the other one
Thank you, Man! I had just realized that I had audio issues on Zoom. I’m new to it. You actually addressed those concerns before I had completely defined the problems. I’m fortunate to have run across your video. Thank you so much!
Keep it up, I got the Yamaha AG06 and Röde Wireless Go.....+ running two Röde Procaster on an iPad 6th gen using the Apple Lightning to USB 3 adepter ...for the DJ mix i use a NI Kontrol 5 and Novation lounchpad, NI Kontrol S25 Keyboard , a UNO Synth, Akai LPD8 Wireless drumpad, and finally the software midi mixer Akai - MidiMix....all sounds goes tru the Yamaha mixer....................The video mixer is a Blackmagic ATEM Mini......need new cameras and lightning :-)
I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to fit most of it in one device - 1. Using back camera for better quality/wider camera angles 2. Using the flashlight as a way to get lightning 3. if you used your AirPods as a monitor/mic combo, and turn on Audioshare’s monitor feature, it should record the audio. 4. Bluetooth MIDI keyboard for your keyboard 5. I guess there’s no getting around the mixer. Maybe AUM/AudioShare? But the question is recording the audio from the iPad to the iPhone. Probably a cheap audio interface? Anyways, these are just theories. Great video.
Terrence Nelson I would look at Zoom l-8 with their 5 headphone monitor lines. It is not that compact but it has some extra features very useful for live music (bands of 4-5). It costs more - around 500 but still a great set of options put together in a pretty small plastic package.
Thank you for this my dear sir. Always learning from you and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you for your most kind words as we all go through this together. Much love and best wishes from me and my family all the way from France to you and your family at this time good sir, abbo.
Very good video Henny. My new Zoom L-8 had a problem with the TRRS jack on the mixer so it went back to Zoom today. They said they will be sending me out a new mixer so in the mean time, I’m going back to my old Alysis iMix 4 channel Recorder. I have the Rode Wireless Go microphones and the converter from 1/8 to XLR. Reverting back to the old way of doing things during this bad times. Glad to hear you and your family is doing ok. Condolences to those that lost loved ones. Thanks again.
Is there any way you can hear sound coming from your iPhone as part of this setup? Say if I did IG Live with someone straight from the phone, would I be able to hear them, and if so, how?
Great video!! For us newbies, you might want to mention that Audio Share app more clearly in your video and description. I had to rewatch the 9 min mark a few times :)
Hi! Does it mean that we (iPhone users) have to download the Audio Share app in order for this setup to work? Bcoz I plugged in the USB in my lightning camera cable & it doesn't do anything 🙈
Thank you for your compassion. I teach painting and mostly need a set up for viewing an easel and a webcam for horizontal viewing. I am beginning to use use Logitech Capture for horizontal, but have not figured out how to use iPhone with the cam. Do you think the mixer would work with this set up? I plug everything into my computer. I’m confused.
This is a great video. I want the rode mic!!! I share with you that I use the Yamaha MG10xu, which on Dec 2019 was priced around $160+ in amazon. It takes a little more space on your desk, but it has way more features. That said, the right set up depends on what you want/budget and setting. Thanks for this great video.
I love what you are doing here! Good recommendations to get folks setup online. Except for 1 tiny thing. I feel that that Rode wireless micro is a bit extravagant for a budget kit. It’s nice (I love mine!), but not necessary. A Rode micro (mini boom) or a simple wired lav mic right into the mixer could be had for around $50-$60 vs $200. I think the key to the whole kit is that mixer. What a great device! I’m using an audio interface vs the mixer. BUT your Yamaha just pulls everything together. GREAT job! This can help a lot of people.
I hear you! The only problem with the rode micro and a boom is when you’re an instructor and need to live around a lot. That’s why I thought about a wireless easy situation... do you have any other recommendations for those who need to move around a room more than be stationary??
@@HennyThaBizness Here are 2 alternative options: 1. When I first started out, I used a Zoom H1 and wired lav mic to record my audio. Then I would sync the audio in post. 2. Considering that this is a static setup and not mobile, you could also use a lav mic (with a long enough cord) right into the mixer. Most talking head videos don't have a lot of moving around. If they did, you'd need to have a portable camera to, in which case a wired mic or the Rode micro would work just fine. Keep up the good work Henny. You're helping a lot of folks. So many of the self-help videos don't work for enthusiasts on a budget.
For sure! All is well this way man. Keep you and your family in my prayers as well. I have a similar live stream setup but I've been banging my head around trying to figure out the best way to get direct external audio. You just sparked a few ideas! New videos coming soon. Thanks again bro! 💪🏾🚀
Henny Tha Bizness great video! Dude you showed off something that could really make my life super easy, however it was just a quick gloss over. Let me get this straight; no matter if you are streaming to Instagram or FB, you can send audio from audioshare live to your live streaming? Can please try the same thing but use AUM? Also how about a video on how to set up your iPhone to make Instagram or FB streaming take audio from audio share (or hopefully AUM)? Thanks!
thanks so much for the video. quick question. How would i hook a looper to it so that I can use all the inputs going to the looper and then back? is that possible? thanks so much
Thank you for the video. Very well put together. Can I ask if there was some trick to getting all this working or is it perhaps that live streaming apps have changed the way they work now as I have an audio interface which I can plug into my iPhone and it shows up and works just fine inside something like Garageband and I'm able to record the audio which is going into the interface (sound directly from my computer) but as soon as I go into any live stream app on the phone they all revert back to using the built-in microphone on the iPhone :-( I'd really love to utilise high quality audio (the video I can live with as it is) but the apps always seem to use the iPhone microphone and I can't see a way to select the interface from within those apps? Any help would be massively appreciated. Many thanks.
@henny tha bizness unless those are affiliate links from Amazon. Get your paper Brodie. Buying a lot of these items second hand or dealer refurbished are a great cost efficient option as well. Ebay. Guitar Center website used section, Reverb, Marketplace sometimes has audio gear as well. I hope this helps.
I have the blue yeti usb mic 🎤 and just wondering how it works with this mixer? Do you connect the mixer to laptop/computer? If I got Logitech camera where would I plug it into? Sorry for newb question... thanks 🙏
Thanks, so Rodes or Hypemic? I would like my voice and the iPad sound in two separate channels, is this possible with this setup’? In another video you talk how Hypemic is the best and now I see you use Rodes.
Thanks for the video! I’m not clear if the mixer can pass data AND power through one USB-B cable connected to the iPhone or iPad, or if you need a separate power source for it. Can you clarify that?
Thanks ! Brother, I'm struggling to find an answer to this question. The Aux input: does it have plug-in power and is it a stereo input? So could I use this mixer to record a live stereo signal using a stereo microphone that requires plug-in power. I know the headset/mic on Line one has plugin power but it is MONO.
Do you have a set up that uses the better front facing camera instead of the selfie camera? I’m assuming you would need an additional monitor to view what’s being recorded.
Thank you for explaining this setup Henry. I have a question. If using a corded microphone, how can I get the full mix out of the mixer into the iPhone? I plan to get the tracks out of my laptop into the mixer instead of the iPad. Please advise. Thank you
Hi there Henny, thanks for this review, I just have a question, can I use my iphone to do live streaming? If yes, what do I need to buy aside from the Yamaha AG03 to make it work? Looking forward to hear from you🙏🏽
Is there a way to set up you’re mic in ableton and have that live audio go directly to you’re iPhone? That way you could do at home dining or acoustic performances with backing tracks and reverb etc etc.
This is great info! My question is, is there any way where I could play the music from iPad straight to the mixer without having speakers? Are speakers necessary? Not tech savvy 😅 I currently have iPad, iPhone, wireless go, and lights. Will need mixer, cables for iPad to go into mixer
I am so grateful for Henny!!!! His setup works. I couldn’t find a lightning adapter with a USB and a charger, so I bought just the USB adapter and charged the mixer through the back. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. THANK YOU HENNY!!!!!

I been waiting for someone to come out with a video just like this. Thanks man!

No its fed into the mixer using a different input from the lav mic.. so sound from the mic and the iPad are mixed in the mixer

Our church we use live zoom and this can definitely help with the audio and video… please zoom tutorial… thanks
God bless you, Henny. Thanks for the prayers, support and educating us on getting us pro sound for streaming. Nice video!
500$ set up ?! What a dream! Prior to covid, I would have easily spent 500 bucks just on cabs or get a metrocard LOL. Thank you so much for taking us though step by step and how to connect everything.
Thanks for this video. Please tell me. Do I need a speaker along with the mixer? How does it work
Thanks for the detailed instructions!
Wen u turned up the music and spoke that’s the part I was lookin for! As an artist I was lookin how to do tht! To do Better performances
Henry, you're a good man. Semper Fidelis! Thanks for the help and spreading the love!
Excellent video as always, Henny! As well, for anyone wanting to ADD a cell call to an existing mixer setup, the iRig 2! No external power needed.
Hello Henny, very useful video! Could you maybe explain the same set up but with a computer and not with an iPhone? Thanks, great video!
Thank you for your video.Very informative. I’m working on my sound and lighting for my cooking channel. I bought a Zoom H5 and I’m still learning how to use it. Just got it.

Hi Henny. I wonder if you can made this connection but using your iPad as the main source of your recording. From the mixer to the iPad. If you had use switcher studio would be helpful …
Your setup is wayyyyy better than everyone getting people to use the irig route which i think causes latency

Excellent..only 1 question - Can i use USB mic ( blue yeti) instead of wireless mic for live steaming & mixing all music behind ???
Great How to! thanks! 1 Q, as a mobile DJ, it would be good to know if you can power the Yamaha mixer with a USB power bank? or it needs a mains power supply? Or does the power source powering your iPhone also power the Yamaha mixer?

I love that you made this video , I have the Yamaha Ag06 mk2 mixer and that whole set but issue I'm having now is how do I connect to my cdj dj controller, can you help with this?

$30 Rode SC-6 (cheap) or SC-6L (extra features for iPhone users $80) plus a pair of TRRS to headphone - mic splitter cables $9 could help. Should be able to use a second device to play music into the other one
What kind of speakers do you have in your video was looking to see if I can get them
Those are the IK Multimedia MTM monitors.. they sound great!
Cool thanks that Yamaha i got one for 85 bucks used and that apple camera adapter for 20 bucks questions do you plug in for your ipad for the sounds

2. Using the flashlight as a way to get lightning
3. if you used your AirPods as a monitor/mic combo, and turn on Audioshare’s monitor feature, it should record the audio.
4. Bluetooth MIDI keyboard for your keyboard
5. I guess there’s no getting around the mixer. Maybe AUM/AudioShare?
But the question is recording the audio from the iPad to the iPhone. Probably a cheap audio interface?

What’s the device your using for your iPad to connect to the mixer
@@HennyThaBizness Here are 2 alternative options:
PERFECT. Right on time. Good Look man! thanks for the solution.
Yessir!! Just trying to help finding the solutions to our “New Normal” ... Hope all is well your way fam 🙏🏼
For sure! All is well this way man. Keep you and your family in my prayers as well. I have a similar live stream setup but I've been banging my head around trying to figure out the best way to get direct external audio. You just sparked a few ideas! New videos coming soon. Thanks again bro! 💪🏾🚀
What do you think about the Roland Go: Livestream?
Thank you, I just copped the 2020 12.9inch to DJ and edit videos.
Dope!
Awesome job Boss 🤙🏼 like the quality video! You must be using a cam link capture card. Anyhow great vid. Aloha from Hawaii
Hey brother, what about the camera thats filming you and the camera you're holding, how's that setup?
FINALLY!!! someone who can explain it to me. thank you
Thanks for this setup! I am a truck driver and I am seriously considering streaming FROM MY 18 WHEELER 🚛🤓
Hi love your video, what kit adaptors did you use to conect the IPhone to the mixer?
I would love to see this setup with your Apogee Symphony
I have the blue yeti usb mic 🎤 and just wondering how it works with this mixer? Do you connect the mixer to laptop/computer? If I got Logitech camera where would I plug it into? Sorry for newb question... thanks 🙏
Interesting. The advantage of using an iPhone or iPad is that you don’t have any fan noise as with. Laptop or Desktop.
This video is literally a miracle. Thank you so much for all your effort and energy to create this. Thank you times infinity!
Thanks, so Rodes or Hypemic? I would like my voice and the iPad sound in two separate channels, is this possible with this setup’? In another video you talk how Hypemic is the best and now I see you use Rodes.
HELO need some help .. what kind of the wire connector you used from the ipod thru ag03 ? Thank you
Thanks for the video! I’m not clear if the mixer can pass data AND power through one USB-B cable connected to the iPhone or iPad, or if you need a separate power source for it. Can you clarify that?
How do you create a lG ive setup where you can hear the person on the other side joining in?
This is needed. Can’t stress enough the benefits of a professional look. I will definitely pass on. Keep shining!!
My brotha!! I’m just trying to help cats out! Always appreciate the support 🙏🏼
Hi! You can connect the mixer to a mac and mobile phone for video recording or streaming right? Thanks!
Henny knocked it out the park with this vid.
Do you have a set up that uses the better front facing camera instead of the selfie camera? I’m assuming you would need an additional monitor to view what’s being recorded.
Is there a software that you need for the iphone when connecting the mixer to it?
Thank you for explaining this setup Henry. I have a question. If using a corded microphone, how can I get the full mix out of the mixer into the iPhone? I plan to get the tracks out of my laptop into the mixer instead of the iPad. Please advise. Thank you
this is awesome! thanks for pulling this together. love it! going to share this with others, see a lot of ideas to integrate for mobile live streaming
Not tech savvy 😅
I currently have iPad, iPhone, wireless go, and lights. Will need mixer, cables for iPad to go into mixer
