I am so grateful for Henny!!!! His setup works. I couldn’t find a lightning adapter with a USB and a charger, so I bought just the USB adapter and charged the mixer through the back. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. THANK YOU HENNY!!!!!
You completely did not show the connection from the iPhone to the mixer.. skipped over it.. I'm a step by step guy... it would have been a great to see you hook up your iPhone to the mixer... To me.. the sound is most important, that's what people need to pop these videos. #js
You should run it back and show each section you're plugging up. From the laptop to the mixer.. from the iPhone to the mixer.. the wireless lavs.. Come on bro.. video is too good not to show the whole thing.. EMPOWER US.
500$ set up ?! What a dream! Prior to covid, I would have easily spent 500 bucks just on cabs or get a metrocard LOL. Thank you so much for taking us though step by step and how to connect everything.
This is dope! I need this setup! Powerful. I am a preacher, music producer, and Cybersecurity teacher. My sound is what I care about the most. Great ideas!
For sure! All is well this way man. Keep you and your family in my prayers as well. I have a similar live stream setup but I've been banging my head around trying to figure out the best way to get direct external audio. You just sparked a few ideas! New videos coming soon. Thanks again bro! 💪🏾🚀
We currently stream with a Rode go setup. We use the Rode TRS to TRRS cable into a dongle and it records right into the IPhone. All other effects are edited in. The Rode Go gives Great quality!!
Thank you so much for sharing. I bought the Rode Go but it didn't work for real dance teaching. With the music on it was cutting my voice. I returned it but later on I realized that I should have added a Lavalier to it, another 100$. People like you are really helping us out. Gratidao!
This is one of the best professionally video I seen. Keep up the good work. There many videos with lots of fancy expensive equipment that do not relate to beginners who want to share our content. I found this very useful for my idea of growing my channel and soon provide some live sessions. Thank you.
Great stuff 👍 It would be good if you could EQ the Rode mic to mimic the sound of your main mic, with more low end boost etc. Although I don’t think the mixer software is on iOS? So it would have to be done on a computer. But once set, those settings are saved on the Yamaha.
Not sure if I have a need for a mixer but liked the recommendation. I do love the wireless go tho... and shoutout for the old school Seahawks shirt!!! Steve Largent my guy.
$30 Rode SC-6 (cheap) or SC-6L (extra features for iPhone users $80) plus a pair of TRRS to headphone - mic splitter cables $9 could help. Should be able to use a second device to play music into the other one
It' s 2.30 in the morning here in the UK, and I can't sleep and have been out for a walk (no one about at this time of day lockdown or not) and went to RUclips and found I missed your latest upload. Will have to share this video with a few people. As always the Gold Standard for media advice. Thanks for the video. Stay strong America, it isn't easy this thing called life, we will come out the other side of this mess and we will celebrate life. Stay safe everyone. Much love from the UK.
Thanks for the detailed instructions! Perfect setup for my wife’s dance exercise business while we’re on Stay Home restrictions. I went with the AG06 for future expansion potential; already had the Rode Mic Go, camera connection kit, etc. Perfect timing!
🙏🏽 together ness my brother thank you for the message.. now to tha buzz, right I’m on this for real! As you might have seen I’m up and coming doing my thing and your content right here is helping immensely 🙏🏽😊 NiceOne Blessings to you and your fam🙏🏽
Thank you for this my dear sir. Always learning from you and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say thank you for your most kind words as we all go through this together. Much love and best wishes from me and my family all the way from France to you and your family at this time good sir, abbo.
Yo you absolutely crushed this video. I can’t believe I have every single item laying around in my apartment I never thought to hook it all up. Thank you so much for that great insight. Blessings
I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to fit most of it in one device - 1. Using back camera for better quality/wider camera angles 2. Using the flashlight as a way to get lightning 3. if you used your AirPods as a monitor/mic combo, and turn on Audioshare’s monitor feature, it should record the audio. 4. Bluetooth MIDI keyboard for your keyboard 5. I guess there’s no getting around the mixer. Maybe AUM/AudioShare? But the question is recording the audio from the iPad to the iPhone. Probably a cheap audio interface? Anyways, these are just theories. Great video.
Yo Henny - I’m a music teacher who’s recording all my lessons for my kiddos with the (insane) Apogee HypeMic based as your review you did. Easily the best audio I’ve ever heard into my iPhone. Thanks for turning me onto it - it’s stellar! Using it boom mounted and sometimes desk mounted next to a piano, drum practice pad, and more. Just killer. Hope you’re good, man!
Hey man so is the audio being picked up by the lav mic or is it a direct feed from your mixer? I’m having a hard time getting a direct audio source from my video camera (c 200) into my computer. When I try a direct connection from a lav it’s all distorted and high frequency sounding. If the sound just gets picked up from the lav mic it’s better than just your phone mic?
Henny, this won’t be easy; I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m Ok, I got the kit as per your direction. Two things I can’t see in the video. 1. You pick up that white cable and plug it into the camera dongle, but I can’t see where it is coming From. 2. I can’t see how you’re connecting the audio out of the iPad into the mixer. Sorry, I’m old 75, and staying at home. Just trying to have some fun. I have nothing I have to do or accomplish. But I would appreciate a little help when or if you have time. If not, I can certainly understand that you have a real live and things to do. I’m getting the new Sony ZV-1 vlogging camera this week. I’m hoping to get set up and, start taping some medical advise shows around heart attacks, strokes, and diabetes to start a channel based on my personal health and experiences. Thanks, Joe
Thank you for your video.Very informative. I’m working on my sound and lighting for my cooking channel. I bought a Zoom H5 and I’m still learning how to use it. Just got it.
Thank you so much for this video. I’m not so much into doing lives but when I’m doing pre-records, of my music production, these tools will help me be creative when show casing. Salute brother.
Seems useless to go for wireless audio only, as you can't walk with this video camera that is still wired as seen in this this setup. But there is still way to go fully wireless both video and audio and use mobile gimbal stabilizer as well.
Juuuust found you tonight. And totally feel ya, muh brotha! I appreciate your good vibes AND AV insight. Bc duddddde.... I am RIGHT THERE ... in that situation of pivot. Like, "shit, what's my next move??" I had my game plan downnnn for this year. But wit this world change, ALLL my shit got cancelled n thrown out. Cool. Keep up the good, bruh!!
Thank You very useful video. Hope I will be able to connect to do live streaming using my keyboard and the AG03 which I already have. I would prefer to use a normal microphone a I play and sing too !
This video is perfect and made something so complicated (for me) easy to understand! Thank you!!!! question- if the ipad were to be connected to the speakers via Bluetooth would that bypass the need to plug the iPad into the mixer? last Question - is it possible to do this set up reverse with the music coming from the phone and live streaming on the iPad?
Great video!! For us newbies, you might want to mention that Audio Share app more clearly in your video and description. I had to rewatch the 9 min mark a few times :)
Hi! Does it mean that we (iPhone users) have to download the Audio Share app in order for this setup to work? Bcoz I plugged in the USB in my lightning camera cable & it doesn't do anything 🙈
Thank you, Man! I had just realized that I had audio issues on Zoom. I’m new to it. You actually addressed those concerns before I had completely defined the problems. I’m fortunate to have run across your video. Thank you so much!
What I’d love to see is a video on how to record an audio chat, from skype or zoom or whatever, on the iPad. This video comes close, but it seems a bit more complicated to capture a recording of the audio to create an remote interview podcast without a Mac. I was wondering if you can connect a mic and headphone to the mixer, the mixer to the iPad with Skype, and perhaps route out the Line Outs in the mixer to an iPhone to record the audio? Would that work? I’d love to try it but don’t have the equipment yet.
1)Did the RODE mike automatically shows the sound levels in iPhone or from a downloaded software? 2) How was iPhone connected to mixer ? 3) Is the video also included in this set up, if so how was this used or recorded in iPhone ? in video recording mode maybe ?
Man.... it was clutch. I have been wondering about this very topic for some time and this video gives me a blueprint to work from even if I am using different equipment. I understand the concept better. Blessings Man!!!
I am so grateful for Henny!!!! His setup works. I couldn’t find a lightning adapter with a USB and a charger, so I bought just the USB adapter and charged the mixer through the back. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. THANK YOU HENNY!!!!!

what cables did you use for your speakers to the mixer!
God bless you, Henny. Thanks for the prayers, support and educating us on getting us pro sound for streaming. Nice video!
Nice hawks shirt brotha!!! #GoHawks great video too!!!
Very helpful. I managed to pull out cables and a mixer I already had with my sure mic and it worked a wonder. Thank you so much

Awesome set up!!! Thank you, I’m able to teach acoustic drums on line very well! thank to all the infos gathered in this video.

Interesting. The advantage of using an iPhone or iPad is that you don’t have any fan noise as with. Laptop or Desktop.
Thank you!!!!!!!
My audio worked!!!!!
You’re awesome!!!!
Excellent video as always, Henny! As well, for anyone wanting to ADD a cell call to an existing mixer setup, the iRig 2! No external power needed.

Blessings

Liking and subscribing just cuz I think I peeped some Black love in the animated thumbnail ..😆

Your setup is wayyyyy better than everyone getting people to use the irig route which i think causes latency

Thank you so much for the intro I lost my dad to Covid in December.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing this! I have the same needed materials in my studio just sitting now I can use them. Thank you again!
No its fed into the mixer using a different input from the lav mic.. so sound from the mic and the iPad are mixed in the mixer
Henny, you are not only great RUclips guy but also a really kind person (at least what I can see online :)
Thank you 🙏🏼 ... I truly try to be as transparent as possible in these videos. I’m glad my energy comes off the same 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Perfect tutorial that's right on time. Thanks Henny!!!!!

What cable do I need out of the Yamaha Mixer to connect to the Apple lightning adapter? great vid

You’re awesome! Video was so helpful Thank you for sharing your awesome video
1:30 in and I’m already hooked.
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
That yamaha mixer just opens up so many possibilities.
1)Did the RODE mike automatically shows the sound levels in iPhone or from a downloaded software? 2) How was iPhone connected to mixer ? 3) Is the video also included in this set up, if so how was this used or recorded in iPhone ? in video recording mode maybe ?
You vs Bollo beat battle!!!!!
Man this was a great tutorial. Good looking out 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Glad you rocked with it ✊🏼 ... Appreciate the support!
Man.... it was clutch. I have been wondering about this very topic for some time and this video gives me a blueprint to work from even if I am using different equipment. I understand the concept better. Blessings Man!!!
Thanks so much for this! It was so easy to follow and perfect examples. I've been trying to figure this out forever now got it thanks to you!
So dope. I’ll be testing some option with the equipment I have to see if I can get it to work. LOL. Hope you and the fam are doing well!
