Yes. Save your money. I bought all kinds of stuff listening to others. All I needed was my phone and a ring light kit. I bought mics, sound cards, a camcorder and whatever else these videos say. I like this video because it kept it simple. A mic, a phone, and decent lighting. That's it! Why didn't I find this video sooner?

Could you recommend an audio/mic "splitter" that allows two(2) people to make zoom calls from one(1) PC at the same time?
you might want a virtual audio cable and a multiple usb port.

😊😊Thanks for this video and so many others that y'all put out. My hubby and I want to start a video podcast but the tech and gear part of it is driving me crazy! I purchased two USB Mics not realizing they could not connect to my Canon M50. I also purchased a Comica Linkflex that was recommended by Heather Torrez. I still don't have the correct cables/cords to connect everything. So then I thought I would use my iPhone 13 Pro Max to record the video and audio. Is there some way to connect both of the USB mics to my iPhone? Or maybe there is some way to connect the two USB mics I have to my Canon M50? Help please!!!!😩😩😩
I am not sure about two mics but you can connect 1 mic to your phone with a Saramonic Smartrig II XLR Microphone, you have to by an iphone headphone adapter but this will take care of atleast 1 phone

I think that a video podcast is the very media to get me started on doing my RUclips show. I didn’t know that VIDEO podcast was a thing...What’s the difference between a video podcast and let’s say a show on Streamyard or Zoom?? Are they considered podcasts or does it depend on the content??? Can you have guests on a podcast?? Thank you for this video.... it has blessed me to not be scared not to have what I need to get started....
The term "podcast" has definitely evolved over the years but as long as you hav your shows audio uploaded with a RSS feed somewhere it can technically be a podcast. But any media has potential to become a podcast.

What if I want to use more than 1 microphone? What should I do?

I like the setup, nice and simple. But if the mic is plugged into the iPhones only charging port. How would I keep my phone charged or charging during longer (2-3 hr) podcast recordings?

You guys are all beautiful young hipsters with no wrinkles. I just want to start a podcast with images and text. I am turning 60 next year and am old school (flip phone, not much social media apart from Quora, and a laptop to go online and watch my foreign series at night), although I have a lot of dating experience, essays on Philosophy & Religious Studies to share (an AfterDegree of interest). I am also into camping, hiking, cycling, gardening, walking, skating (the outdoors in general) and dance (hip hop, salsa & Latin dancing). I also plan to get a piece of land and have chickens, hens and a garden and eventually live off the grid (my pension plan). What would you suggest?

I have a tech issue and maybe you can help me: I bought an external microphone (lavalier, rode) but when I connected this with the phone's adapter (3.5mm jack to c /Flip 3) then I record my voice with the external microphone, but unfortunately I can't hear what I have recorded. I bought the Sampson Q2U Mic after watching your video and LOVE it. This totally changed how I sound. What would be the best editing software that is easy for a non so computer savvy beginner but also one i can grow with? I use a Mac if that makes any difference.
For mobile video editing Inshot, or Capcut are great and simple. Capcut also has a desktop option. Davinci Resolve is an amazing editing software that is free but also slightly more advanced.

Iv been wanting to start vlogging about my journey with advanced stage 4 kidney cancer but just was so overwhelmed with it all! Not just the electronics side of it but getting in front of a vidoe camera when ur whole self has been drastically changed by cancer... Atleast for me as a female it's alot. My dad told me a ridiculous amount of time that I should go live and share my journey, my life, how it is living when they say I'm dying and every thing iv gone threw since 2021...yeah I been living with this diagnosis since April of 2021....crazy I know. 32 months of chemo and immunotherapy plus losing my ability to walk in 2022... So I'll also be streaming from a power chair... I knew I needed to have myself in a better place mentally and emotionally before starting. I'll always be exhausted so I just have to do it. I just didn't know what all I needed to start. I kept telling my dad I will whwn I'm ready. He passed away last year ans I'm so angry I didn't start whwn he was here.. But it showed me I just have to do it and get it done. I'm about to move into my new apartment and after getting settled in my vlogging will start. Sooooo nervous tho!
