B&H Photo Video yes I’m looking at all your equipment like what are all those buttons for and why/when should use them????
Buttons, pads, and sliders are for engaging different effects, gain/volume, switching, input/output selection, monitoring, and phantom power.

I would really appreciate a video regarding that topic. Actually I'm thinking of an interview based podcast on marine research. So I would like to know of benefits and challenges, why you should or shouldn't use video and how. In addition, how to incorporate video into a semimobile podcast setup. As for this video, it was really helpful for getting my gear togehter.
Yes please. I'm starting one of my own on sports
Thank you so much for making a calm video for beginners, without shouting at us about passive income and fast growth. I appreciate it.

Starting a podcast soon!!! Good luck everyone who is starting a podcast 🙃
Wow, I'm really late to the party. I just stubbled across this video and I'm so glad that I did. It was very well done and very well presented and very informative. I appreciate that. I'm a Preacher and a Teacher of the things of God. And I've been doing that for 30 years. So, I'm very comfortable speaking into a microphone for and in front of people. It's almost as if I was costume made for it. However, about 5 years ago, I got tired of the false teachings and hypocrisy in the Church. I grew tired of Pastors and Leaders caring more about money than teaching the truth to help people through life. When I spoke up about it, I was forced out. So, now I'm looking for a new path. I think I have found it. But I had absolutely no equipment and no knowledge of how this all worked. So, here I am. And soon the truth will be heard from this Preacher again. Everyone has a voice and there will always be someone out there willing to listen. Don't let anyone or anything silence you.
I’m later to the party than you...! Best of blessings to you in your endeavor! The world needs you!
This was absolutely fantastic. This hits all the right points and covers it in a way that's easy to understand and use. I'm amazed at how many other videos lose the plot. This didn't. Thanks a lot for making it and sharing it for the world to learn from.
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed our video.
Great tips. You shared just enough of everything in a way that is simple and very well explained. No chitchatting as other videos I tried watching and didn’t get to the point. 👌🏼
Within 30 seconds this is already better than other videos. Great job getting to the point!!! Great job!
Thank you.. Iam sure the teacher found me, I didn’t search for you at all. I decided to start a Podcast, it was like I said podcast and your video popped right up.😎
Law of attraction 😊
i love that your breaking everything down without making it sound complicated with simple words for us beginners i love your vid style please never change it up
Glad it was helpful for you!
2:34 2 USB mics to 1 computer, I used it, I used VoiceMeeter and it worked PERFECTLY, NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, so if u do wanna use 2 different mics in the same computer, you can definitely do it
My thoughts exactly. If you are using two different mics, it shouldn't be a problem I was surprised, when I've heard a sentence about not using 2 USB mics.
@PanDork Club this is all one big ad from what I can tell. It has information int here too, but things aren't lining up lol like the two mics or the fact he didn't say anything about the mic on his shirt that's being used for the video lol.
So you give us wisdom on how to start a podcast without screaming at us or telling us not to. All the while giving us an Avenue to help make the world a better place. Thank you for the content
I wanna start recording my singing and start a RUclips channel, and I came across this video to "study equipment". I'm typically easily overwhelmed, but this was a smooth and informative discussion. This was easy to grasp for beginners like me. Thank you so much! Subscribed from the PH
How's your journey with singing going??
Did you start? I wanna tune in. Dont give up on your dream.
THANK U!! twelve year old looking to start a podcast with his friend, this was really helpful. i’m so glad you mentioned the microphones as well

This has to be the best video on getting started with a podcast that’s I’ve seen - and I’ve seen lots of them.
Thank you for the video! I feel ready to get started.

Clear & concise...without the overwhelm of unnecessary images. Thank you.
Starting my video podcast "Sonder Atlas" and this was sooo helpful especially since my podcast is outside, so audio can be tough to record
Dude how you guys can be so good!!!! In 12 minutes you've explained a bunch of important stuff. Wow!!! This is how we fall in love with a brand. Good job AB and B&H!!
So glad to hear this!
I love that you took a topic that could be a little bit intimidating and made it fun and easy to understand for those that aren't quite as tech savvy. Love the pros/cons you also showed on the products! :)

You have done a stellar job in giving the finite details of what is needed to start a podcast I'm going do one with my son and myself.. THANK YOU!!!
I’m starting a podcast with my friends and I think it’ll go well. Once we start I’ll edit this comment and link the channel.
Please do! Maybe make it a new comment in this thread so we get alerts from RUclips.

I Wish I Could Leave Comments on Different Podcast Episodes in my Podcast App on my iPad,&,iPhone Like How I Leave Comments on Different RUclips Videos
very helpful bro I know im 2 years late but im looking to start a podcast with my friends. the funnny thing is that I bought a mic like last year for my history class because he would have us do podcast's for projects. I NEVER plugged in my mic. I thought it would work I I thought it was pointless. so thanks for leting me know on how to start it bro.
Excellent video!! Thank you for addressing podcasting interviews over the phone - that was very helpful!
So helpful, thanx, I appreciate the upfront aspect about the equipment.
I've watched so many videos and this was by far the most simple and informative. Thank you so much!!
Wow. So comprehensive yet so simple. You shared so much but it was never exhausting. Amazing and High Valued Content! Not only have I learned how to start podcasting, but also, I've been inspired seeing how well crafted content will sound or be seen like by my audience.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this, I really needed this because i wanna be something similar to the guy who started house of highlights, I’m gonna make a podcast and post sports content on Instagram and other social media sights!
AB, I attended your workshop for Creators yesterday on the car. Great Job as always. Thx for the info.
Absolutely love the video! Very interesting and clearly explained. Not a podcaster but I think it would be something really cool to learn during these pandemic times. Definitely worth considering; please more on this subject

Did you ever decide to jump into the podcasting space??
Watched this twice already. Had to make sure that the process of investing in podcast, would not result in buyers remorse. With that being said, Just places an order on Amazon. Purchased our LLC a couple of months ago. Mission statement and trade mark logo is under way. I appreciate the information provided. Valuable, to the point with no extra verbiage. I'm happy to subscribe and follow.
wow thank you so much! I'll be starting my podcast now, I feel so confident 😌
I appreciate you sharing this info, but for those like me who just wanted to know which sites are good to host the podcasts on it would be nice if: 1) you showed the URL on screen and 2) you slowed down when mentioning the sites, so I can write them down. I had to rewinde a few times, because you went through them so quickly.
The question is, out of all the mics in the room, which one is picking up the sound we are hearing?
The one on his shirt 😂
You see your not thinking outside the box the mics are there to confuse you by thinking hes recoridng from one of those mics but what you didnt know was that he IS the mic

I've been kicking around doing a podcast for a while. My biggest obstacle is confidence. Even in my 50s I have my doubts that anyone cares to hear what I have to say, especially in this day and age when everyone seems to be so easily offended.
Im just starting out and thank you for getting it straight to the point! Thank you! you helped a lot!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This honestly was the easiest video to understand about podcasting gear.
Hello, can you help me? I have Rode Procaster and Behringer Umc22. But i have environmental noise like PC's fan and my voice is muffled. What should i do? I want most clear voice.
Nowadays im looking to "Triton Audio FetHead". But i think my audio interface is bad. Should i buy mixer or audio interface or fethead? I have a few models on my mind. Scarlett 2i2 or Behringer XENYX Q802USB. I will use only microphone so i dont need more channels.
You can elect to filter out the environmental noises in post via your DAW software. Do not add the Fethead to an inferior or defective interface either. The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2x2 USB Audio Interface (3rd Generation)
B&H # FOSCARL2I23G would be an excellent choice and would pair well with your microphone. bhpho.to/33PBSGJ >Mark
@@BandH To much thanks for help! Have a nice day!
Use the noise reduction in software. Record like 10-20 seconds before you start talking and use noise reduction in Audacity or something.
Don't record right next to your computer.

This is a very good video! But just so people know, the Blue Yeti is good for 2 person podcasts. It has different options for sound pickup and i’ve had good experiences with it so far
Thanks a lot. Very direct and clear explanation of all the equipment and different scenarios where you might want to use something else. Excellent!!!!
I clicked on this not knowing anything about podcasting. By the third minute I felt like I knew everything about audio. Haha it’s difficult to come across tutorials, instructional, or “for beginners” videos that are quick and precise. I didn’t feel lost or confused.
You’re a great communicator!!
Very good information for a person who is wanting to start podcasting or is just curious about the mechanics of it all. Thanks for the excellent instruction.
Thank you very much for this video, you made it so encouraging and positive, just what I needed!
That was the most straightforward, direct video ever! Extremely helpful! Thanks for making this. Do you have one that discusses podcasts that incorporate video?
This is an awesome video, great material and crucial advices. Keep that good work up. Appreciate it.
This was very helpful. I just stared a RUclips Channel and one day jump into podcasts. After watching your video now I know where to start. Thanks.
This video is so thorough!! Everything I needed to know and so clear too! thanks a lot!
Thanks you!! For someone who is totally in the dark about electronics, I was able to get some thing from this segment.
"Phantom Power!...." hahahaha loved this video! Thank you for explaining things! I learned a lot of basic things I needed to know that a lot of other videos don't cover. So thank you for that!
I followed these steps for my podcast and it came out great! Thanks!
what an amazing video, thank you so much for this, also that boost of confidence at the end was spectacular.
You're so welcome! We're glad you enjoyed our video.
I just got into wanting to start an only audio podcast so this video really helped since I was having trouble on what kind of equipment to use and which ones would be better to use cause I do have a noisy household and I realized I have lots a stories I can talk about
Brilliant video. I've looked around for loads like this and this is perfect. Straight to the point, no messing around and explains everything clearly. Kudos
I have a small sound proof office converted into a sports podcast room.
The microphone tips were excellent.
I have a low, deep voice. I leaning toward the Yeti or Rode.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video! This definitely helped me start my MMA/Movies podcast. Finally released my first video on here and the audio version on Spotify. I’m excited to see where this goes!
We're glad we could help!
Thank you! You broke it down enough to a true beginner. The links helped too.
Thank you! This is exactly the type of info I was looking for.
We're glad to hear this, enjoy!
This is really super clear. I have been looking for something like this that isn't overloaded with commentary.
This vid pretty much Answered all of my questions. Thanks!
Great! We're glad to help.
Wow.. so much info .. no way I can remember everything. I lovethat you think it's simple for beginners, thats adorable! I'm too old apparently. You should do a simplified version in an ebook and dumb it way down for people like me lol
Started my anchor podcast months ago and was sat here thinking I wanna move away from Anchor and start again, went to search and boom B&H has my back
Nice, Paul! Thanks for sharing.
whats wrong with anchor?
@R. Alan Ingalls one reason is that they owns the right to your shows that you upload. Just double check but thats what put me off anchor.

Glad to hear it, thank you!
Great video! One suggestion.. you skipped what I'd consider to be the best audio editing software on the market...especially for spoken word: Adobe Audition
Wow, so much detailed and very useful information crammed into 11mins. Thank you very much! Lots of helpful tips and ideas for me to munch on. Big thumbs up from me :-)

Outstanding information. I can’t believe how you can do such a great job in such a concise and exact manner. Good job sir

That's a great point... I mentioned a random assortment, but that is certainly one to include. Thanks, Carlos.
Thank you I really wanted to start one because I love the what’s good podcast
I wish other people knew how to explain stuff as easy as you lmao
Thank you for letting me know in this video that I will need help with so everything in front and especially behind the camera.

It's an ad. The truth is just about any mic will do depending on how you use it. Start out with a Zoom H4 or something and fuck around until you get it.
