I believe the truck has a blown engine
No. It ran and drove. I guess you missed the part of the video where he was out driving it shortly before I got there.
@@Towtruck_Dustin what an idiot
I think he called a tow truck for a broken down vehicle
Yeah. That’s definitely why he was mad and spinning his tires on the lift and throwing the keys lol
I think his truck is unregistered
Gotta give you 100% respect on this one, because once he threw them keys for me he can go ahead come down to the yard or the location he got the car and get his stuff. Since he wants to act like child over something he didn’t pay for.
Absolutely
This is probably a lot calmer than a lot of the stuff he has to deal with as a repo man.
OMg 😱 yay that dude got lucky he didn’t get his abc kicked when he threw the keys 🔑 he should pay his damn bills
Great repo👍! Keep it up !
@@SmackyTheB3AR This one is possible like a 'walk in the park' )
You were a lot nicer to him than I would have been. As soon as he threw the keys at me like that I would have raised the truck back up and took off.
Lol yep!
I was gonna say, Nope, get the tires yourself man, be mean to me why should I do nice?
Removing the tires doesn’t have to be about nice.
It removes an unnecessary conflict with minimal effort.
In this job I think one just have to chill...chill....chill...If the guy feel a bit lest frustrated trowing them keys, and that is about it, please, be my guest. If he acted up more, well, yeah, better take off
That’s because you’re such a bad ass hombre that everyone is super impressed by.
I love how this guy is pissed at you when he's the one who wasn't making his payments. What does he expect is going to happen? He very lucky that you're a nice guy and let him take his stuff. Way to keep your cool.
New tires though.
After trying to drive off the lift, he's lucky he didn't create additional damage to either vehicle. So much for respecting your elders, useless old people.
otherwise, he could be held liable for theft. taking property that does not belong to you is illegal.
Is that like a 2005 getting repoed?
gang jumped boy
You are an amazing repo professional! You helped the man unload his tires. Well done. After he calms down he'll realize how professional you were. Cheers!
Thank You!
The guy doesn't (can't) make his truck payment but he has the money to put into brand new tires for the truck. It's like having your house remodeled while not paying your mortgage. Also the guy in the garage just standing there watching while the guy is trying to clean out his truck. Never lifts a finger to help.
There is always more than the video says.
The guy in the garage is lucky that that truck didn’t come off the lift when the other guy tried, because if it did, it would’ve crushed him between that truck and the one in the garage. But just watching. So weird.
Eh. I feel its more like putting a new roof on your house. Tires can be a hazard if they are bald or dry rotted. That said it might have just been cosmetic and the. Your comment is completely valid.
If he paid 1000 dollars for those someone broke it off😅
@@patriot9455regardless, broke people are the only ones getting their trash cars repo’d
You’re a rare kind these days, Dustin. Thank you for conducting yourself with integrity. God knows we desperately need folks who understand the basics of common courtesy and self-respect. That is what courage looks like. God bless you my friend.
Thank You!
A rare kind? There’s a lot of good and kind people out there. It’s great how he handled it all, but there are a lot of caring and helpful people. There’s a lot of calm and patient people when a customer is rude. Working with the public is not easy. But others give and donate and volunteer their time to help others. So, it’s not rare. 🤷🏻♀️
God doesn't exist obviously or people wouldn't be towing peoples crap in the first place majority of the world is ignorant and delusional good tow truck drivers only work for people calling them for help
He gets off on it. Nothing rare about it.
@@jimmystrickland1034so
People wouldn't have these problems if they made their car payments. Repo man is just doing his job don't get mad at him, cause he shows up to take the vehicle.
They need to learn basic math first
SADLY, A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN FEEDING THEIR FAMILIES, PAYING RENT, MORTGAGES, AND HOUSEHOLD BILLS…THINGS ARE A LOT HARDER FOR MANY PEOPLE. BUT DUSTIN, HATS OFF YOU HANDLED YOURSELF PROFESSIONALLY EVEN WHEN THE IRATE TRUCK OWNER FAILED TO HOLD HIS ANGER. IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT HE MISSED HIS TRUK PAYMENTS.
Sometimes folks fall on hard times. The best thing to do is call the bank, try to work something out with them.
I mean he probably would’ve If he had the money things happen
@@sweetlexii71then they know better trying to get a truck they know damn well they can’t pay for
They truly believe the bank doesn’t own the vehicle
For being "handicapped" he sure did run very fast
Right lol I was thinking the same thing lol
And she's a bad apple
You never know what could be handicapping someone.
@SunnyWu in his case its paying that note
Wouldn't be the first time someone has only been disabled when it comes to qualifying for disability benefits.
Once dude started calming down and walked away, I figured the drama was over. Then he decided to be a tool and throw the keys at you. I hope he doesn’t treat everyone like that when he messes up and doesn’t take care of his responsibilities.
Him throwing the keys tells you "EVERYTHING" you need to know about him and his character. 😏
ol' buddy was filming while all this was going on. You can tell they all roll together.
My man doesn’t have his 2008 paid off?????? He’s making poor life decisions.
He can afford the tires he could afford the truck payment
might be for somthinc else keeping 1 car/truck is 1 think but of course 2 is more $$
He might of gotten them for free or bartered. My ex boyfriend did that all the time with music equipment and car parts.
Even helped him with the tires. Have a good one!
Thank You! You as well
@@Towtruck_Dustin He can afford tires for it but can't afford the loan payment.
@@pauldudlyThat is exactly what I was thinking. The tires on the truck looked new. Maybe they were not for his truck.
@@pauldudlylol 😅
He didn’t help him, he helped himself. Get in and get out before things go south.
Good on you for handling this the way you did. Understanding that it’s an embarrassing and stressful situation for these people and they may act a certain way they typically wouldn’t because of it. Your ability to be firm but also de-escalate was great. 👏👏👏
Thank You!
Assuming that the TV news is correct, there are going to be a lot more of these.
Nice job Dustin.
De escalate? Are you a politician? What?
I've only ever been late on a car payment once when I was pretty strapped on cash. Payday was 2-3 days after the due date, so, when I went to pay it they were charging me for next month's payment, too.
I can't imagine not paying for my car and then getting mad when the repo man shows up lol. I'd hand him the keys and own up to my own screw up 🤷🏼♂️ but, my parents also taught me not be a POS, so, there's that...
Dude 2 days late ain’t shit, being late is when your 1 day away from the next one due and if you don’t make that payment that day your getting a 30 day delinquency on your credit report for 7 years…people go thru things , you don’t know this man’s story , bragging that you’ve never been late will come back to u one day, and hopefully you don’t lose your ride…people are heartless and uncaring in todays world…the quickest way to avoid one of these guys in your driveway is to pay cash , car payments are for suckers..
That's what payday loans are for
Well done Dustin!!! Fighting the good fight , very professional :-)
Thank You!
Dustin I give you a lot of credit. I would have lost my patience with that person. He knew he was in the wrong cause he had not made his payments.
I was about to the point of just driving away. lol
@@Towtruck_Dustin I probably would have
Yes he was clearly in the wrong. This situation could have easily avoided. If he was having money issues ect the best thing is be proactive & talk with the Lender & explain the issue most & formost be honest with them. Generally they will work with to find a solution. In General the lender really doesn’t want the vehicle that’s what I was told My local credit union . They really want there money . Which is a no brainer
You are crazy doing these repos alone too many nuts out there that will shoot you and not care one bit. Be safe out there.
People are crazy these days!!!!
That's the beautiful thing about the USA. Everyone has a gun,and you have to be afraid of your neighbours everywhere, all the time.
My friend had his RAM reposed and he paid off the balance except for 89 cents. They towed his truck away a week later and he had to pay the balance in full and the 2nd tow fee. The bank had no sense of humor.
Wow lol I’d be pissed lol
Over 89 cents? Didn't happen.
@@jeffro221dude you can pay 59-3/4 payments on a 60 month loan and the bank will take it as it’s not fully paid off..payments are for suckers
Hand rubbers are not to be trusted.
You need better friends!
Call Amber, He can call Ghost busters also lol. You handled it better than I would have after he threw the keys 😂
Trust me, I about rolled out and left him there. Lol
The minute he threw those keys I would have raised the truck up and told him to pound sand and left
Probably 1 of the better repo guys out there. I'm glad you give people the respect to get personal belongings
As much as I would've love to have seen you to tell him off after he threw the keys at you, raise the truck and drive off with it and tell him he can come down to the repo yard to get us stuff, you definitely handled it the right way being the better person and staying cool, calm and collective during the whole process and keeping your composure and staying calm all while avoiding any additional unnecessary conflict. You also never know when a situation could quickly escalate into something potentially. violent.
I can definitely imagine it wasn't easy, but you did a phenomenal job & great video as always!
Thank You!
I wanted to drive off so bad. I almost did, I just didn’t see it helping the situation or getting away without further issues.
The old man was from a different generational learning, more of a Texas rancher mentality than a modern Texas family training.
I have a friend who's a repo agent he went to pick up a vehicle BUT the debtor decided to call him a bunch of racist names (ni**ers & monkeys) he kindly hooked up to the vehicle and drove off, he usually allows the person to take their property out of the vehicle but when all the name calling happened it was over!!
you get an A for deescalating the situation... its hard I know but you were the victor not him
@@Towtruck_DustinTo be fair, it wasn’t like he threw them at your head. More tantrum than attack. Spinning the wheels while on the lift was far more dangerous, for example.
Nice how he could afford new tires, but not make the payments on his very nice truck.
just got my truck repo’d, i knew it was going to happen just didn’t know when. I gave the bank the exact location where it’s parked at and they finally picked it up after 7 months… Tow guy was chill, gave him the keys and talked with him for a little while. No need to cause drama, i simply couldn’t afford the vehicle anymore and it is what it is. Guy is just doing his job.
Wished more people would be like that.
Nothing more humiliating to a man than having his pride-and-joy truck repossessed!
Bought more truck than his wallet said he should.
I would have drove off at 07:54! To hell with him and his stuff! I’ll sell those tires on eBay!
@@4862cjc right, what tires? I didnt see any tires!
I would have expected that kind of behavior from a younger person, not an old man. He's pretty spunky for his age. good job being professional about it too. A lot of repo guys would have tried to fight him. I would just want to take the vehicle and try to avoid any confrontation with anyone if possible too.
I also thought it was a bit out of character for an older person. I really expected a kid to be driving. Lol
@@Towtruck_Dustin Right! Well at least things didn't escalate and you were able to get the truck. Being able to think through problems like that is hard so you don't lose your temper. Awesome recovery.
Young punks grow up to become old punks. See it on a daily basis here in FL. Since living here, the old adage of "respect your elders" has definitely lost its luster. Some of the rudest assholes here are over 70!
@@acemobile9806 I live in south west Florida myself, and I would agree with you about how rude older people are here, but that doesn't give me the right to be rude back. Fortunately I have my own business as an electrician. Being one of the least expensive electricians in south west Florida, I have the right to refuse service to anyone I want, so when I run across someone that is like that, I just don't do any work for them. They can pay the extremely high prices, I don't care!
@@acemobile9806 You are SO right. It took me until I was forty years old to realize that the people who were just straight up assholes in high school don't ALWAYS grow out of it and mature, as I always figured they would. Many just become old assholes. I worked with a few straight up ASSHOLES in their fifties who still tried to bully people even while being grandfathers, for God's sake. Pathetic.
I love seeing all the judgment of people "you were nicer to him that I would've been", "I would've made him come down to the yard"… This guy is having literally one of the top worst days of his life and event that he will remember for the rest of his life, showing people in this position a little bit of humanity is a good thing.
I agree
"one of the top worst days of his life"? Really? Let's not forget HE caused that to happen, so HE caused the "one of the top worst days of his life." Is throwing the keys at the tow truck driver considered "humanity" too?
"this guy is having literally one of the top worst days of his life"
what an insanely cushy life
@@stevenmeadows6917 Tow truck driver wasn't welcome on the property, try to take a hint
What I find hard to understand about this is that often, like in this instance, the vehicle is parked in front of a nice home, in a nice neighborhood, with nice landscaping, but for some reason, they aren't paying their car payments. This guy seems to think that someone is "doing something to me". He did this to himself - by not paying his bills. That's the way it works. Nice video, Dustin.
They probably aren't paying the mortgage or rent either
Always try to 1st, wrap the wrecker body safety chain around a leaf spring hanger or something sturdy like a receiver hitch, somethig easy to reach, don't get under trying for an axle, if they try to drive off, they won't get far, even if they put it in 4x4....& worst case scenario.. its strong enough to drag it away to a safe spot to rehook. Wheel straps can be burnt off by spinning tires... not a bad idea to get yourself some body armor too.... a few hundred bucks is a good investment.
He didn’t even apply those tire straps correctly.
You handled it very professionally man. Nice job in a tough business. I'm sure it's a bad day for these people too, but when you don't pay your car or truck payment, this day is going to come and they shouldn't take it out on you because they didn't honor their end of the bargain. I don't get people sometimes.
Great Patience and Professionalism ! Guy needed a little more coffee 😂. Him throwing the keys, after the failed attempt just confirmed he’s a (bad word).
Stay Safe!
Thank You!
The dude has to get a brand new set of tires out of his truck that's being reprocessed. Maybe he should of paid his truck payment first. Lol
In 2015 I was driving for Lucky Transport and my truck was a red 2013 Ford F-450 Super Duty Flames and it was red and it was fast. Had the quick pick unit. Class A . Twin line. Bad ass. ❤
Soon as those keys got chucked at me I would’ve been gone. Not my problem you can’t pay you bills, and no need to have that kind of disrespect he’s lucky you’re even allowing him to get his stuff.
My cousin was like that too, if the vehicle's driver wasn't an ass, he would always let them get stuff out of the vehicle before he towed it...but if they were being an ass he'd just hook and go. Then they had to pay at the yard to get their stuff.
The tow truck driver had promised to stay, your word is not based on the other person being nice.
You are a good guy for helping with those tires be safe
Thank You!
Another “ Stimulus “ purchase 😃
I'm surprised you handled that pretty well 👏
I was really trying. Almost drove off when he threw the keys tho.
Dustin I give you props for how you handled this I would’ve lost my shit if the threw them keys at me and wouldn’t let him take his stuff
Trust me, I almost left lol that why I turned and walked back towards the truck for a second lol
Bro can see back to 1985 with those tow mirrors!😂
3 out of out of 4 tires standing on end is pretty good I'd say after a toss from the truck bed
You're dealing with people at their worst. Tough job
Pay your bills and there won't be a problem Skippy
God bless you for being a very patient person to deal with disrespectful folks.
The guy was a jerk for throwing the keys but good job on keeping your cool and keeping it professional. It’s a sucky situation.
Thanks man!
@@Towtruck_Dustin 🤜🤛
6:30 you should really get yourself a 6' length of 3/8 soft nylon rope and use it to tie off the sterring wheel to eitber the door frame and or the shortened seat belt. Dont trust the seat belts on their own. Lessons learned by a lifer.
Man, I'm watching your whole backlog now, and you are such a professional and good dude. I don't know how you hold it together with some of these folks. If there is something after this life based on kindness, you will be all set.
That drive way is level look how them tires stood up by themselves. 😂 Great job not stooping down to his level 👍
Thank You!
Buying new tires but not paying the truck note 🤔✌🏾… Great recovery
That’s generally how it goes. People put their priorities in the wrong places and get behind.
Very professional repo dude and that guy threw the keys notice how he bought brand new tires but never tried to make a truck payment
I know most people will not believe me but this is really true. I was just 2 weeks behind on my truck payment and they repo my truck I had financed from a credit union. It was the only time I was late.
I love how when people dont pay their bills they are the victim...
Usually after 2-3 missed payments the repo note goes out, so obviously this idiot knows he hasn't made the payment for several months already, and somehow thinks the tow truck operator is just going to leave because the truck's owner says he hasn't missed a payment, or is gonna make one....yeah, well you should have done that months ago and your truck wouldn't be leaving attached to a wrecker.
You can’t call this man bad he’s just doing his job
Thanks again for your service.
No problem
Nice job with being patient, hats off to you!
Thank You!
those tires were probably equal to a payment
Pay the payments , don’t buy tires
You have the coolest weirdest job. I had no idea what it's like to be a tow truck dude, Thanks for sharing and making me smile.❤
Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Looks like a really nice truck you’re driving there. It certainly seems that quite a few of them are outfitted like luxury cars nowadays. Then again, when you call a tow truck like this your office, having a comfortable interior certainly helps.
Instead of buying new tires he should have made a truck payment
Why does 99% of debtors who fall behind in their payments ALWAYS have some drama when the repo man shows up to collect the property?? They act like it was theirs, but the bank technically always owns the property UNTIL the loan is paid off and the bank removes any liens it had on the property. At least, that's my understanding of how the loan process works.
I knew I recognized that area! I grew up in Angleton, AHS class of '88 Brings Back great memories.

Hard times fall on anyone.. I Feel sorry for the guy really...To owe anything on an 08 sounds a little bit crazy to me..Really happens allot with these buy here pay here dealerships where 250 a month for 25 yrs is not unheard of..i understand his frustration though..It's stressful for sure..had it happen to me a long time ago as well..The neighbor came running over and started trying to take my toneau cover and anything else he could as the tow driver was hooking it up..Neighbor talking crazy about how it didn't matter but i told him to stop..Because it devalued the vehicle for when they resell it and i have to make up the difference..Even the tow guy chased him out of there and as it turned out the neighbor was the tow drivers Bro-in-law so that's how he knew i was getting repo'ed..Anyway it turned my world upside down as i only had a motorcycle to get to work even in bad weather as i had to ride it till i found something to replace it..Divorce has a weird way of getting things in your life out of whack..i recovered but it took awhile..Just fell too far behind to keep it but whatever the excuse is the lien holders could care less..Actually they sold the my vehicle for more than i owed so i got a little return on it but thats not always the case in most of these repo's...The attitude the old guy there displayed was kind of rough but the stress of what was happening sends his mind in over-drive because this is an event that has him in a bind..for the most part he realized his demise and i think your asking him for the keys more than a few times challenged him for trust in his word and for most people that is where the line gets crossed..you kept your cool so good for you..
Glad nothing bad happened to you. You stayed really calm.
Now Dustin when doing repo work there a major rule you can't be Mr.Nice . A lot of friends have been shot at during a repo . So when you take the vehicle you don't let the clean it bc you never know if there going to trash the inside . So next don't put on the straps right wait until you are two blocks up and a block over even if means you have drag the vehicle
Cut you tire belts at an angle then burn the edges.. They'll slide in easier.
Love your videos very entertaining quick question why didn’t the truck get off the wheel lift when the wheels was spinning did you have something special it didn’t look like it’s tilted any special way thanks in advance
Just didn’t have enough traction. It’s possible to drive off the lift, but thankfully on this one he didn’t.
Crappy situation handled very professionally. Guy even helped unload.
Thank You!
I’ve seen so many towing videos but this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone use the seat belt to secure the steering wheel like that… I’m amazed 💀
It’s a common practice in the towing industry.
Especially in a pinch like this, where you don’t have all the Time in the world to sit there and mess with multiple ratchet straps.
It's done all the time, especially with big rigs.
If you know you are up for repo, just let the repo guy do his or her job.
"her" LOL
He would have been done the minute he acted like a 2 year old throwing that key! I would have lost all kindness and patience with him.
Yeah. Thank you for being one of the repo channels that shows use it is people in all walks of life that have financial management difficulty. Stay safe. Given Texas gun fascination - my career did not include TX property.
I did REPO work here in Ga for over a year, Had several tried the same chit. Problem was I had a truck with a 18 ft trailor.
So insane to think u can run the truck while on a lift. Where was it going? The man knew his truck was being repo’ed. I wouldn’t doubt he was hiding the truck at his friends. Ppl buy more than they can afford and it happens time and again. I’ve seen sheds used as housing being repo’ed. It’s a sad situation.
That repo truck is nice...
Thank You!
Two things from someone who has done repos for over 20 years when they get in like that once their out or even once they stop stepping in the gas throw a j hook or safety over the rear axle it’s just a extra measure of safety. Also Damm msn grease that wheel lift she’s chattering bad!!!
You have the attitude and demeanor I strive towards but just can’t seem to find it. God Bless and stay safe. You are leading by example. 🙏🏻💪
Thank You!
I don't get why they get mad at you guys. You're just doing your job.. They are the ones who did something wrong and get pissed at you. I can admit I had my car repo'd. I heard the guy in the middle of the night trying to get it. I went outside (he assumed I was gonna be loud and shit) and he warned me not to come near the car. I told him I was coming out to give him the keys and he can take his time. I asked if I could get my stuff out and he let me. He thanked me for being nice and understanding. I was the one who fucked up with payments, not him.
Most people are like that. However some just gotta try and push the issue. Lol
I love your videos Buddy I love repos
Thank You!
Glad you’re enjoying the content!
If that was me an he threw them keys like that with me I would have said nope times up u can pick ur tires and all ur stuff up at the yard and would have been outta there massive respect for you 💪
Thank You!
I used to repo people say anything, this guy says I gave you my word,? Sure but you also gave your word to the bank that you would pay for it!!! I love how people think once they have the keys to a vehicle they own it? Not until you pay your Debt for it you don't! And if you do something stupid when the driver is trying to take back a client's property! Like driving it off the lift you're going to have more than a Mark on your credit score!!! You could be sued and have your home taken for damages! I had a guy do this he ripped the whole back of the vehicle and did $10 in damage to the wrecker!
Morning
Good morning!
It ain’t no joke if you don’t pay that note and honestly, I blame the economy for why people haven’t been paying their bills
That old man could have injured himself or the guy in the garage trying to take off when it was hooked up. Where did he think he was going.😂
Wow you are way more patient than me I just hook and go! They can get their stuff at the yard
Bidenomics... Everyone default on bills.
Ah yes. the deep blue state of Texas.
If folks can't make it in a state with no state income tax it reflects poorly on them.
Let's try ,,,,, " All of those tires are STOLEN for $400 " Alex .
I would make a practice of chaining the unit to the lift. It would at least discourage debtors from trying to drive a vehicle off the lift.
Man, you have a risky job. Protect yourself and stay safe. Love the videos!
At 7:30 he says "and you got my word". He also gave his word when he signed the loan papers to pay for the truck. At this point his word ain't worth jack. After he threw those keys I would have drove away with all the doors open and watched him jumping up and down in the rear view mirror.
You did great being patient with him. That is definitely the part of the job I wouldn’t like.

As soon as he threw the keys at you, I would've just towed it. No time for that disrespect. Clearly you are much more patient than I am.
