Another great vid, looking forward to the final battle of the campaign. Perhaps you're being a bit hard on yourself. Although the SS had occupied objective Fair, they had done so with very limited infantry support to clear out the buildings. Arguably a human player would have cleared the buildings, but in addition to this the points for the SS may have been the same as for you, so the AI may have only got a draw if they had fully cleared you out. As for the next campaign how about sticking with the British and see them through the 'Road to Nijmegen', I think it would create a nice continuity.
A great action packed end to this brilliant series. As for what you do next, there are still some campaigns that no one has filmed yet, or they have failed to complete. I quite like to see you take on "In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow" or "Amiens Tonight" from CMBN. I think "Fields of Tears" from Final Blitzkrieg might make for a good one as well.
I'd be interested to see your take on "Knock 'em All Down" from Final Blitzkrieg. A lot fewer missions but some are truly huge in size. Would switch the decor from fields and farms to urban fighting hellscape.
That lone piat soldier gave me such a mix of emotions. He goes out all by himself to find tanks, and the first bush he walks through, he finds one. He immediately ducks and aims his piat. The tank notices our hero and prepares to blow him into pieces, but not before our hero fires and stuns the tank, giving him much needed time to reload. Unfortunately there's another tank right beside the other one, which immediately turns and blows our hero up (btw the editing for that made me laugh). And just when you think it's over, it turns out our hero wasn't so alone and another squad behind some bushes, fills the other tank with rockets. That small engagement sums up how ridiculous this battle was, and also how night battles are the best.
Hi @Septic, I’m glad you are enjoying the campaign. I think the Italian theatre doesn’t get the exposure it deserves and may be there’s a Brit campaign I could run
An action-packed Stygian battle. These are generally more difficult to defend since attackers can close to nearly hand grenade range before being spotted, all but negating interlocking fields of defensive fire. Congratulations on the win, and many thanks for the outstanding contribution your videos have made to authentic wargaming. Look forward to your next creation, whatever the campaign or CM iteration.
Another great AAR Double! I'd be less critical of the way you played it. Even with a superiority in armor the SS still didn't push you completely out of 1 objective. They had heavier casualties and probably would have had a lot more trying to take Square. I think you played it as well as you can. How about a FB campaign next?
That. Was. Nuts. Very tense and confused battle. I loved your descriptive commentary "mortars like falling stars" etc as well as the great visuals. Well done!
Great AARs. For the next I'd like the italian theatre above all. I hope not the raod to Niemejen campaign because there are already 2 of them on youtube
@David, I don't think it does model vehicle flame lighting but the escalation of fire and spotting does suggest muzzle flashes or some night spotting has some type of impact. Plus it looks cool in the video 😁
@@MrSirDouble I was just correcting something you said in the video. CM is a bit of a black box for us all. I actually don't think they should even do night missions in CM WWII games given that they don't really have a robust system to handle light and dark. I wouldn't be shocked though if the modern ones work a little better though due to night optics. Flares have been on the list of requests for a while. Armored Brigade does a really good job with those.
Only discovered your channel month or so ago. Been a joyous binge. Considering the odds thought a little harsh on your self regarding victory. As to campaign your presentation style seems to suit the British really well, so why not another.
@big Lemons, the final battle was a long one but over, no spoiler. I'm putting the video together but It's coming out much longer than I'd like so it's taking a while to edit so that I'm happy with it. Not long now, honest :).

Thanks a lot for the compliments @Josey Wales. I like the idea of following the Brits.

You have set a really high standard for quality AARs.
It would be nice to watch a Shock Force 2 series or an Italian series.

LOL, you had me rolling about with all the "they can't see anything!!" stuff. Top notch.
thank you very much for posting these AAR reports. Anything you like will be great for future AAR's, I do prefer WW II.

I'm pleased you enjoyed the video
I love the night time visuals, but the SS sneaking around in the dark gives me the willies.
Really enjoying this campaign series, would like to see a German campaign!
@Max, glad you like the campaign. A German campaign would be something different for me as I’ve actually run through very few of them

You're probably already on it, but anything WW2 would be awesome. I'll watch anything you post though, this is high quality production! Subbed.
@Miles Keller, glad yo enjoyed the videos. I'm hoping to get into another campaign soon. I have a H2H video which should be posted soon as well.
Any AAR campaign series made by you will be well received.
I've heard that the CM2 engine doesn't actually model lighting, such as lighting from fires on a destroyed vehicle.

Still tussling with the King Tiger? Mightily looking forward to your thoughts on the campaign overall, once you've wrapped up.
