I've been waiting for this for a long time. It's all in one, though I have the other Omnis, it's worth it. I remember the jaw drop when Jean came back (no longer "Bucky dead.") And they got their own issues. It was so much fun. And original colors! Thank you, Omar. I love your enthusiasm, and you kept it down to under 40 minutes. 😅
It wouldn't be an X-omni overview of it didn't break the 26 minute mark!😛 Lol seriously though Omar, this was a great and informative overview as always. This is a gorgeous looking book, both inside and out and I'm looking forward to reading this material as I never have before. The completionist within me demands that l wait for the Prelude to the Massacre omni to do so though, so that's what I'm going to do. That's the overview I can't wait for!
Mine should arrive Thursday, my birthday is Friday, and I've wanted this book for the past 10 years. I know some are pissed, but man is this a book to have!
I hope vol 2 will collect to at least issue 59. I really don’t want to buy two more volume to collect the 19 issues missing in oversized editions (41-59).
🎊This Omni review matters as it was the 1st number #1 and series I collected.😏good times, 🙏 my dad was right there encouraging my collecting. Miss u pops
This is the one book that puts me in triple dipping territory. Releasing the Epic Collection books out of order really soured me from buying this. They didn’t release Epic volume 2, out of 4 volumes, because they want to sell those issues in this omni collection.
I don't mind missing out on small stuff like Marvel Fanfare and Mephisto. I hope #41-59 gets put into an Inferno Aftermath Omni to fill in the final Simonson gap in the Event line.
I would love to get this. I will wait and try and get a deal on it... It will be an all new read for me, so it's an exciting release. OG colour's all day, every day for me. Thanks for the show Omar. 💯🔥👌💪🙋♀️
wen it comes to covers i feel like they do a great job with recoloring but wen it comes to interiors the recoloring is more Ls than Ws in my opinion . on that x-factor epic cover they look great
Do the Summers/Grey family tree and also indicate who's alive or who's dead 😅 The character assassination of Cyclops begins here and I think it wasn't until the Messiah era that Cyclops was fully redeemed. If anyone wants to see a visual way of how these omnis are mapped ... take a garner at my Collecting Claremont Omni video.
Since this includes the Fall of the Mutants issues, it should have included Daredevil #252 given that is a direct tie-in to the impact of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen attacking New York City, etc.
i pretty much hated jean grey during the phoenix saga when first watched it due to her emotions back in the 90s when i was a kid. the first xfactor epic collection pretty much made me a fan of jean grey again in 2018 or 2019. but nothing tops hank mccoy from the defenders. puns and everything. :D
Looking forward to reading this run again when I receive my pre-order. For me, the book takes off when first Weezy & then Walt, take over. Layton did the character of Cyclops no favors, as noted in one of your interviews with Claremont.
@@NearMintCondition I'm expecting him to return with amped up powers as a brainwashed Russian mercenary taking down X-Factor. Just destroying Pyro. One can hope
Hola Omar mi hermano! While having Uncanny vol 5, when the whole Prelude to Mutant Massacre debacle arose I decided to go with X-Factor Omni despite having all other event Omnis. The biggest selling point for me was the fact, that in the series Omni there would be letter pages in contrary to prelude. I was very dissapointed that they are not included. I was even considering double dipping and buying Uncanny vol 6 and so on just for the letter pages but now I doubt they will include them.
Maybe there was not internet, but back then there were a couple of mags that gossiped about upcoming comics months ahead with writers talking about future plans, but those were followed mostly by the hardcore buyers. Still, in those years most kids would be surprised to open those FF pages.
I'm new to omnibuses and totally lost. I want all the comics in a title, but people are going on an on about double dipping and events omnis and preludes etc. I just want all the mutant comic i was into up to the early 90s when everything went down the you toilet and i dropped out. Is there a general overview about how to choose omnis to get complete runs of the X titles?
After this I'm getting extinction agenda only because it has the missing issues prior to the jim lee books then I'm done with xmen. I'll have everything I once did when I was collecting comics.
I am so torn! When the contents of Uncanny 5 were confirmed and it was released, I was all-in on buying Uncanny 5 and X-Factor Classic. But I haven't purchased Uncanny 5 yet and now the Mutant Massacre Prelude has been announced which bridges the gap completely. I would prefer both books, especially since I'll probably buy the subsequent volumes of X-Factor until it reaches PAD Vol. 1, but it saves me money to just buy one book. These are the problems of an Omni Collector on a budget.
@kidfantastic thanks! I do love that issue 40 but I hope for a marvel fanfare omni one day -- which feels like a matter of time! Mephisto vs I can definitely do without, especially if it's just that issue ha. Thanks again!!
I just got my copy yesterday and I have to say I do not like the feel of the paper they used on this book. It feels so cheap compared to every other Marvel omnibus I have with how thin it is. Plus, it has this weird texture to it that bothers my fingers. I'm also disappointed that it does not include the letter pages at teh end of each issue. It seems like Marvel only does those now for the stuff from the 60s and 70s. I'm happy this is finally out though because once I read the first little bit found in this book I can move on to Mutant Massacre as I finished Uncanny 5 and read up to New Mutants 45. It is going to be weird though when I finish Inferno and will have a big like 20 issue gap for X-Factor and then a 10 issue gap for New Mutants.
Loved these as a 90s kid, as did others, because the back issues were really cheap (unlike UXM). But re-reading them now... woof. Not great. The first 5 issues by Layton & Shooter are terrible, and poor Louise Simonson tries hard to course-correct. But she also seemed to run out of steam. The O5 X-Men are just... kinda boring. Takes a long time to build them into characters. Pass for me.
I love the image on the DM spine. I wish these were shown in solicitations or somewhere before release.
Same. I'd be picking covers based off of spine moreso than based off the main cover image!
So excited this is finally here. These early issues are gorgeous and I genuinely love all of this run.
I HAVE WAITED A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME FOR THIS OMNIBUS!!! Thanks for the excellent overview, Omar!
One of my most wanted this year. So glad to see this one make it to print!

Easily my favorite X-factor run and this is coming from a guy who loves the investigation years as well.
This is going to be so hard to decide which way to collect this era.
Mine should arrive Thursday, my birthday is Friday, and I've wanted this book for the past 10 years. I know some are pissed, but man is this a book to have!
Ayy happy early birthday, I hope it's a great one!
Happy Birthday Paulie - Rocky 4
I hope vol 2 will collect to at least issue 59. I really don’t want to buy two more volume to collect the 19 issues missing in oversized editions (41-59).
I had no plans of getting this... but the duat jacket designs look great... may have to rethin k my Omni path.
Gotta get the standard edition. Need Warren on the cover
Sold off all my events stuff to go main line so excited to get this.

Fantastic Four #286 is one of the best comics I’ve ever read.

Yes sir. 🤠
So glad this is finally collected! It’s going to save a lot of wear and tear on the single issues!
Finally, so happy to have the originals back when this came out!
Oh man beautiful book

I just ordered this one today!!! Thanks for another good video. Omar.
My pleasure! And I hope you’ve been well, my brother.
After they duped most of us into buying a incomplete UXM vol 5- here's hoping X-factor vol 2 is worth it and has missing Marvel Comics presents issues
Do the Summers/Grey family tree and also indicate who's alive or who's dead 😅

Finally the OG X-Factor in omnibus!
Do Epics get reprinted regularly?? I want that Epic to fill the gap, but can´t find it anywhere (I got Vol 5 before the Prelude).
It's going to get easier to find now that this and prelude will be available.
Since this includes the Fall of the Mutants issues, it should have included Daredevil #252 given that is a direct tie-in to the impact of Apocalypse's Four Horsemen attacking New York City, etc.
Definitely ordering this day one!

Can You make X-Men and x related reading order together?
Fantastic Four #286 was the first US Marvel comic i purchased from a UK newsagent, so, i have a soft spot for XFactor, and, i will buy this omni.
Still torn between getting this and Prelude to Mutant Massacre. Either way there's going to be a massive amount of double dipping.
pretty cool that this is finally here, Donnelly printer hype

Great time to collect the introduction of Rusty after they just killed him off in the comics.
The one time Nicieza and I disagreed on something.
@@NearMintCondition You didn't love how they just moved on to a new team without a confirmation of death or funeral/honor ceremony?
@@DreadSeamus Just how stupid and pointless Rusty died. I always hoped someone brought him back with new powers...still waiting decades later.

Also should be noted some of these issues are also in Phoenix Omnibus Volume 2...although we know you hate it haha
Hahahaha….. sigh.
Do we know when the subsequent volumes will be released? This is my favourite run.

I sold uxm because post v1-4 I have the event line, and intend to pick up prelude. So I think I skip this?
Minor stories like X-Factor vs Mephisto and Marvel Fanfare won't be in there but if you don't care about that then you're good up until X-Factor #40.
@kidfantastic thanks! I do love that issue 40 but I hope for a marvel fanfare omni one day -- which feels like a matter of time! Mephisto vs I can definitely do without, especially if it's just that issue ha. Thanks again!!
Love these issues- even though it's the origin of deadbeat dad Cyclops!

are you gonna buy the Shade the changing man omnbibus that comes out next year?
Are these issues cover in other omnibus books?
I go over the issues collected in other Omnis.
@@NearMintCondition sorry just skimmed the video :)
I know I shouldn’t get it because of double dipping. But in case I sell the other books I want this one.
Looks so good! But man i wish they'd split these in two editions, its so insanely huge.
Wait till you see the size of the Mutant Massacre Prelude Omnibus
Where,s Amazing Spiderman # 282 ?! Why not included? L😮L ?!
It is. I even talk about it on the video.
@@NearMintCondition Found it, thanx! 😅.

Prelude to mutant masscre makes this obsolete.
Ah yes, the destruction of Cyclops. How to make a character unlikable in one issue.
If only the first 69 issues of this series weren't terrible...
Is it that bad??
Man so many X related Omni Omar..getting kinda tired of them tbh, but super happy to all you X fans but need to spread the love more..
Some people would say there aren’t enough x related Omnis.
