- It's another day at our country home, and it's hard to imagine it was autumn recently. It's snowing again, and everything is white. Christmas is definitely slowly coming. We went for a walk in the countryside to enjoy our favorite places in a different snowy setting. When we're back in the garden, there's one more delicious surprise waiting for us. And since it's the first Sunday of Advent, we're going to light the first candle on our new advent wreath 🕯️

It is so nice that you do the Advent candle lighting. What a pleasant way to count down the days to Jesus's birth. It's been a long time since I have put out the Advent wreath with its candles.
Advent wreaths with candles are quite common here, almost everyone has them as decorations and every Sunday we light one more candle 😊

The child inside me has never left my heart , when I'm in a juvenile mood ,( mostly alone though ) that kid resurfaces and I have fun times ,
the flip side is I tend to go down memory lane where emotions rest waiting to be revived which often cause sadness as I recall the times people and places,
Keep skipping in the snow and create those special memories , god bless you two guys ,

Hey guys, we call the clinking of glasses a toast but without the bread😊 and from a ladies perspective, the next thing you need to add is a gold tablecloth to match the glasses and centerpiece.
We joke that when we use elegant linens, we have moved up in the world.😮

The time lapse was amazing, I couldn't resist mentioning it.
And thank you for that too. I was standing there and running around in the cold for half an hour to film the timelapse. It looked so pretty with the snow and moon rising 😊 ~Peter

I didn't see his face but I can imagine it. Ha ha.
Jokes aside, each season has its charm and the snow is magical but I must confess that I belong to the summer team.
I agree with you, the taste of the very ripe medlars ( nísperos here) is delicious and the smell of its flowers is so penetrating and sweet that they seem to enchant the atmosphere.
Now I also want to make bread. And I will do it.

We also prefer summer, we always say that, because we can be outside as much as we want to 😊 But all the seasons can be very beautiful.
So cool that you know medlars. They are so yummy 😊 We haven't noticed much of a scent yet because the shrubs are very small but next spring we shall pay more attention 😊 Making your own bread is very nice, definitely go for it 😉
Gotta LOVE the Clean/Crisp Air (w/a scent of wood burning fireplaces) the Silence the Snow brings... the Crunch underfoot.. the Sparkle of 'white diamonds' covering the ground...
Regarding fear of Wild Boars.. I sent you a high-tech Slingshot, just for protection when in the woods.. Did you forget?
Have you heard of 'old-fashioned' "Snow Cream"? You mix *COLD* Cream, Sugar with a splash of Vanilla extract.... then pour over a big bowl of Fresh Snow :) but avoid the Yellow Snow. ha
Your Dad's Elderberry Wine looked Delicious although a bit like something served on "Game of Thrones" ha

Snow cream sounds very unhealthy with all the sugar and cream but maybe the fresh snow would balance it out? 😂

Another very good video. I always enjoy going on a walk with you guys. It is so nice to see beautiful snow flakes falling. We don't get that much here. I am like Peter, it is so magical. Love the scenes from the woods and the interesting stories that came about over the years. I would like to share one from this area with you. The story goes that in the mid 1800 this plantation owner was preparing for his daughters wedding. The home was located at the end of an alley of live oak trees that led to a bayou landing for the plantation. To prepare for the wedding day, he imported spiders and released them int the trees to spin webs. On the morning of the wedding he had workers sprinkle gold dust on the webs thus making a beautiful canopy for the bride and groom and all the wedding guest. Today the alley still exist but not the house and it is located about 3 miles from where I live and has a historical marker. It is called the golden spider web wedding of oak and pine alley and is a tourist attraction. Just thought I would share a story with you. Thanks for taking me along on the wonderful winter walk. there are definitely deer and squirrels here but i have never seen wild boars roaming around, but i also seen a groundhog and last week i saw a raccoon
Groundhogs and raccoons sound quite exotic to us. We don't have them here 😁

Scenery is beautiful and I think snow is “ magical “ and brings out the Happy 😊 inside of ourselves..you may have to mix that wine with something else to reduce the sweetness or you can just do Tequila shots instead😂 Happy Christmas❤

Certainly in Britain and Ireland a Christmas wreath hangs on the door. What you had there is a Christmas table decoration, which was rather nice. I liked the candles. 🕯️🕯️

Stefan, you need to get more out of your comfort zone and definitely put mustard on your bread. Maybe a bit of blood wine to it - Klingons from Star Trek drink it all the time 😁 In Czech there is just one word for all these circular decorations, whether they hang on the door or are put on the table, so it's a wreath for us 😋
