- Christmas is almost here, so we're enjoying our time making the final preparations. We're putting out our Christmas decorations including Christmas lights which we love so much. In the meantime, Peter is preparing his traditional punch which is surely going to make him extra cheery. And then we're going to bake our favorite cookies to enjoy during the holidays. It’s not Christmas until I’ve had my annual baking session with Peter, usually coupled with him getting very merry on punch or mulled wine. I have not been disappointed this year either. So much so that I’ll overlook that stray reference to a sidewalk rather than a pavement or footpath. Those biscuits looked neat as a pin too and were made all the more delicious with added wit from Tommy.
Peter really let the cat out of the bag when he let slip that Tommy works out at home with dumbbells. Some folk, ahem, might pay good money to see that [calm down Stefan!!].
I’ll be baking too today (Friday) so I’ll be thinking of you Peter.

Christmas Greetings from California! I still love following your channel. I commented quite some time ago that my husband and I also live in the city, but had a country house the the Sierra Nevada. That house burned to the ground in one of our famous wildfires about two and a half years ago. Our Christmas present this year is a new house which is just being completed. I will continue to watch your country house adventures for motivation as we begin to landscape around the new house. Have a happy and safe 2024!

i believe it was 1974 when President Ford initiated the US switch to the metric system but in 1983 President Reagan stopped it, i don't know why but probably claiming it was too costly but i am sure it cost more to stop it then to allow it continuing

Hello Guys !. I have curiosity,since you both don't believe and don't practices any religion,as you have said in other videos,and call "creepy" the monument of the Cross at the Canary Islands ( my birth place); Then why do you celebrate Christmas? Christmas is a religious celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.Not the birth of Santa Claus,snow or Christmas trees. If you are not a believer,I don't see your reason for celebrating this Holy Feast.No Jesus,No Christmas !. Well this celebration without any belief is " Creepy".
It's funny. Czech Republic is a non-religious country, but Christmas is the biggest holiday of the year :) I don't know anyone who celebrates it as the birth of Jesus though. It's a non-religious holiday here. Same with Easter. Many people celebrate it, but it's not connected to religion. I guess our countries simply have different backgrounds and traditions.
