It's supposed to be a muddy adventure, but we can't resist after seeing all the pictures and reviews 😁 But first we'll stop in a historic town of Firgas which is called the city of water to make our wet day complete :)

    What a great place and a wonderful video. Such an abundance of plant life and water. Love the first part of the video.with the fountain and all the colorfully painted tiles. Such and interesting place. Parts of the video had lots of bird calls and songs. This island is amazing, such diversity and stunning vistas. Thank you, I really enjoyed this video. What a great vacation area. Take care. Tony

    In a previous video I had chosen Mogán to live but now I want to move to Firgas and adopt that loving black kitten that appeared on the trial.
    What a charming place, the historic center with those colorful tiles and the water racing down in cascades.
    One of my grannies had a loquat tree in her garden and all of us cousins, at nap time, we got together to eat them. Then we were scolded because popular wisdom affirms that the hot loquats are indigestible. We didn't care at all. Sweet memories. Literally.
    Amazing landscapes today guys but those precarious viewpoints, no, no. Scary.
    Kisses.

      Hi Davey, that sounds so amazing!! So cool that you were there😊 We were thinking about having a swim there, but we didn't have that much time and we also didn't want to encounter other hikers while we were in the water since it was right on the trail, haha 😀 But there was basically nobody around. Maybe next time we will jump in 😁

    Wow, that city, the waterfall, the benches - magnificent. We are sorely lacking that kind of artistry and craftsmanship in this country. And, one of those benches inspired me to tell you that it would be amazing if you got a horse and a goat for the yard. Then Tommy wouldn’t need to spend all his time mowing. He could lavish you , Peter, with all the extra time ❤❤

    This video is inspirational in that I've always considered gran canary to be just another tourist beach resort ,
    But what a revelation to see such beauty especially the flora , the in town waterfall wouldn't draw me , however the terrains are beautiful,
    You chaps are living the good life , I spent several years off the beaten tracks touring Southeast Asian countries , more especially Laos /northern Thailand ,
    You are guys after my own heart , I salute that you take time to see the real Gran Canary , also slightly envious ,

      Yes exactly. One has to step away from tourist resorts. So cool, that you traveled Southeast Asia and off the beaten path! We would like to visit there one day. Thank you 😉

      @@tommyandpeter I have friends in Prague who grow lemons and oranges in their garden. They keep their (not so big) trees inside during the cold season.

    • @tommyandpeter
      @tommyandpeter  3 месяца назад

      Yes, but those are for fun, for people who enjoy growing exotic plants and taking care of them. You won't get many fruits from small trees in pots, that you have to put inside in winter. Or use heated glasshouses. It wouldn't be worth it for us. We prefer local fruits that naturally grow here. And even with them it's quite stressful. In the last days we lost a lot of fruits because the trees and plants woke up too soon due to very warm weather, and now we have frosty nights and mornings. Sad 😢
