- Christmas is getting closer, so we went on a day trip to a nearby town to admire views at their palace in the snowy landscape. We wanted to enjoy the winter wonderland even more, so we continued to another place to stroll in the woods, but there was so much snow on the road, we almost didn't make it 😲 Due to the crazy weather conditions we had to change our plans, but that didn't stop us from savouring the winter day ❄️

The village at night with all the Christmas trees and lighted buildings were worth waiting for. Thank you for taking the time to show us that. It seemed so peaceful and magical.

That magnificent palace in the middle of the snowy landscape, those ducks swimming in the cold water, the conifers dressed in white, .....everything looks magical.

Here in the south of my country where it snows a lot, cars must use special tires. There too?

Hi, the palace is in a town called 'Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou', so that is also the name of the palace 😁 And palace in Czech is 'zámek'.

Your pronunciation of the word ‘palace’ gets a very high mark from me: palis. Very correct, very British. 😉

We've already visited Neuschwanstein castle 😊 It was in 2018 - sadly before our RUclips era. It was very beautiful but quite crowded (which is not surprising since it's so pretty). Haha, maybe we'll be back (to other castles as well) and then I shall wear my crown 😁

We've been using just a small DJI Osmo Pocket camera and we are upgrading to a newer model (the third generation). It's great for our travels and vlogs where we move a lot 😊 Thank you, glad you liked what you saw 😁
I wish we still got snow like this. We get some but not that thick and melts quickly.

Tommy has gloves but it's annoying to put them on and off all the time while filming. It's impossible to operate the camera with gloves on. So it's all for you guys 😁

guys, i did not yet watch this video but i must ''comment'', i just heaed about mass shooting in Prague, i know you guys dont live there, put also know czechia is small and almost everyone go to universety at Prague and that there is a high chance you know someone who works or studies there. i hope all your friends and relatives are fine and were not affected by this, same goes for you. I feel so sorry, whole world went nuts, this kind of things in our slavic countries never ever happened, exception is Russia, but poland, czechia, croatia, serbia, slovenia, bosnia, i mean this kind of things never happened. and if it did, the targets were never schools, universeties.. not so long ago 13 year old kid in serbia killed 8 people in school and now this.. 2 days ago here students attacked teacher and recorded all of it, so he smashed one of them in the head with something..
i really hope no one you know was affected on any way by this and i give you my condolences as a member of a brother nation and hope this was first and last time something like this happened in czechia.. we still here have no infos about identity of attacker and motives...

@@tommyandpeter the worst part is that attacker was excellent student, but everyone described him as quiet, in his own world, same description people gave about Serbian kid. I think our Slavic nation's and culture in whole have serious issues with prevention of mental health in youth and young adults. It is still stigma and something bad. We here in Croatia had luck in unfortunate of war, coz so many people was affected so it become less of stigma and now we born in 80ties have issues coz of it snd kinda pay attention to young ones. Majority of people will react if they see something is happening with their kid.
Too many of our ancestors went thru trauma and never got help and they transferred it to their kids and so on it is called transgenerational trauma, add biological mental diseases which are hereditary and you can have seriously messed up individuals who never seek help, enter psychosis or mania or it shifts them to paranoia and something like this happens. People don't want to understand that kids and minors can be psychopaths and when they reach adulthood they can do insane things.. I really hope that this event is last and that it will be a trigger to pay more attention on mental health of kids, minors and young adults.. huge part of problem lays in our Slavic culture when it comes to this. I bet his father saw signs and pretend everything is normal, until it was too late...
I know I am mentally ill and that when I enter certain stage I can do a lot of harm and don't remember it all, but I know signs, triggers and I am aware i have serious issue which can't be left untreated and it really hurts me and piss me off when I see signs in kids or minors or even young adults under 30 years of age and everyone just pretends everything is fine, until it is not. My older nephew as a teen had serious behavioural issues and if I did not stepped in, I am pretty sure by now he would be in prison for something similar, he was calm extremely introverted, but in same time had serious issues with anger and rage control.. I am sorry for the length of comment but I really try to understand how it comes to this point that such young person do something like this and no one saw signs, coz there are plenty alarming ones before it reachs this point. I just can't understand even from a point of a person who have serious mental condition.. I mean I get that person can enter certain state and not be aware of it, but everyone around the person see it and do nothing. That part in our Slavic cultures really bugs me...
Sooty for the length I had a need to say this coz I really can't get it, I mean as soon as I see that I could go into psychosis or be triggered into shifting realities like I am back in 1991 i to by myself to mental hospital and ask to be admitted that same second.. if i am not aware i am entering, all of my friends always knew to watch for signs and tell me or to contact my shrink or doctor immediately, I just dont get it coz sane and mentally healthy person cant do something like this...
