    Thank you, this was wonderful and I’ll make a note of this hotel. The best hotels I have stayed in were in Scotland. I think Scotland is beyond stunning anyway. Such a lovely accommodation. Your videography and speaking voice are top notch (minus the one lighting glitch). We couldn't expect a person who mispronounces "Gaelic" to properly pronounce "Beinn Eighe" and "Slioch" but that only made it more charming. Very well done. Slàinte mhath! (pronounced "Slansha va").

      Thank you Markus and thank you for being so kind towards my pronunciations. I used to stay here in the 1980's when it was still in the hands of the Lovelace family. It was very rustic then but there was no problem walking in with your muddy boots. The rooms we usually had were pretty big and I remember one where the bath was in the tower.
    If I remember correctly, Ian (Mad Dog) Fraser (ex SAS) was the manager. He used to do things for the tourists like haggis shoots, where he would get a member of staff to go up on the roof and throw haggis off for him to pop at them with his twelve bore. I also remember a couple of fisherman getting caught out foul hooking salmon out of the Balgy when the water was really low. After Ian "spoke" with them they left the next morning without complaint. But generally he was very genial and a great host. One night he had to be away so he asked us to run the bar.
    Ah,... the good old days.

    @ Visit With Us. What does the 4K mean in the title? Bit hard to give an opinion when you haven't posted a complete tour which you say will be in part 2. If your papping your camera to the left wouldn't the mountains still be to your left?

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus 2 года назад

      4K is the resolution of the video (it's Ultra High Definition). We couldn't stay longer than one night because the hotel is always so fully booked, so we didn't get to do all the exploring and adventurous stuff that the Torridon provide. We will certainly be doing that when we get the chance to return. We did as much as we could in the time we had there which was enough to form an opinion and produce a video. Thanks for watching. :)

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus 2 года назад

      Hi Russell. Wow, that's a difficult one. If you're coming from the south, the Torridon is a lot further on into the Highlands so it's more difficult to get to. It's also very wild around it and there's so much more to do in and around Leith. Gosh, that's just the start...
