    Rich and Helen, I'm an Indian American, live in the USA for last fifty years. I haven't seen India the way you're showing me. Growing up near Kolkata, we visited Oberoy Grand Hotel in Kolkata but we could never afford to stay there. Thank you, thank you. You described India beautifully. The yellow flowers garland s you're greeted with are just local merry golds. But I have to commend you on your choice of music in the background. Beautiful, and just perfect!!! All the best.

    "The Golden Triangle is popular, but it's overrated and overcrowded. India is so much more than that! The country has an incredible diversity of topography, from white sand beaches and islands to towering mountains and ski resorts.
    Check out Kerala and the Andaman Nicobar Islands for pristine beaches, or explore the Himalayan states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for stunning mountain views and adventure sports. Karnataka has amazing spots like Mysore, Hampi, and Coorg, while Maharashtra offers the ancient Ellora Caves. Goa beaches, along with Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh’s rich history, are also worth your time. There’s so much more to India than the Golden Triangle, so don't limit yourself to just the usual spots!"

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 месяца назад

      That’s such a difficult question to answer as pricing depends on when you travel, where you are booking from etc etc.
      At the moment a similar trip in Jan next year (the same time of year we travelled) booked directly through there website is upward of £6000pp including flights from London and all other costs from beginning to end.
      We would however recommend contacting a travel agent as they might be able to get a better price or added incentives. We work closely with Panache cruises and can send you an email contact if you are interested in making an enquiry (they can book both here in the UK and the US/Canada).

    These days Europe and North America is getting hot in August due to global warming. You can visit these areas of South Asia for pleasant weather in August.
    1) Kashmir: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg.
    2) Himachal Pradesh: Shimla, Kullu and Manali
    3) Uttarakhand: Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Landour and Dhanaulti
    4) Nepal: Kathmandu, Pokhara and Nagarkot.
    5) Darjeeling, Pelling and Gangtok: Gorkhaland and Sikkim
    6) Bhutan: Phuentsholing, Thimphu and Paro
    7) Pakistan: Islamabad, Murree and Nathiagali.
    These 7 regions are like 7 different countries.
    Unfortunately, golden triangle which is Delhi, Agra and Jaipur has become famous for travel in South Asia because it has forts, palaces, mosques, temples, 18th century Bazaars and colorful slums.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes they do. All of the hotels we stayed in offered a ‘western’ style option but we love curry 😂🥵❤️
      Many regions of India are largely vegetarian so the food is often based around vegetables which are abundant and delicious (watch part two when it come out for that 😁).
      We were there in January which was surprisingly cold. I would probably try to go a bit later in the year tbf (though not too close to summer when it would be oppressively hot) or maybe in early autumn 👍

    I’ve watched a number of visiting India vlogs in my day, but the retention of places like Humayun’s Tomb. Memory probably has something to do with it, but it feels like the first time I’ve heard about one of the precursor’s to the Taj Mahal. And speaking of which, the early fog tour I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. It’s like…traversing into the nebulously obscurant fog of history. Like being closer to there than here.
    Far from obscurant though are the hotels. Coming from no doubt the American of tourists, the Oberoi Amarvilas looks to me like the most ancient recreations of an ancient palace.

    The video looks great...but I'm no longer watching channels with sponsored content. I feel it biases the reviewer. Gary Benbridge has great things to say about this. I also believe you ought to add #AD to this sort of content. I have enjoyed your channel in the past but, like the channel Emma Cruises, this channel seems to be becoming more "fluff" and less "info."

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  4 месяца назад +5

      @@christophercollins1371 I’m sorry you feel that way. Gary has the benefit of millions of views per month meaning he gets paid a lot more than we do. Believe me, when he was our size, he did hosted trips too to make the channel pay. Our content is geared towards people who want to find out about a certain voyage or experience. It’s a ‘show and tell’ and the vast majority of our viewers appreciate and value that. Without hosted trips, we simply wouldn’t be able to afford to bring the content we do. Everyone loses in that respect. We appreciate the feedback and hope you appreciate the enormous effort we put into every single video. Everything we show is authentic and genuine. We can’t do more than that.
      We also fully disclose what we’ve paid for and what the cruise line has provided in every description. We dislike the word ‘ad’ because it’s so open to misinterpretation.
