I have been waiting for this! Love your channel so much. Edited to add: I know I say this all the time but this is better than the Travel Channel! The combination of the music, the visual delights, and your wonderful voice are perfection.
After watching few of your videos, you quickly became our favorite cruise channel on youtube. The quality of your videos are remarkable! My wife and I are also cruisers, but we never tried such luxury cruise lines yet. Thank you for your beautifully done videos!
I’m watching because we were on this ship in August. Watching for the memories! The food was fabulous. The meal in Pacific rim was superb. You can get some great deals so this makes it much better value than first appears as there’s nothing more to spend. Not extra drinks packages, excursions etc.
Just got off Seven Seas Voyager last week. Whilst a smaller ship (no Pacific Rim, Pool Grill less choice) it was the very best. Simply stunning product, happiest crew I’ve ever seen on a cruise ship in 37 years of cruising!
As usual enjoyed your excellent video, it was even more special as I watched it from one of lovely lounges onboard the seven seas Mariner. just off to lunch now at the well appointed “Buffet” and a glass of Champagne Carry on cruising Neil and Liz
Pacific Rim and Prime 7 are our favourites. I’m a glutton for the bread on board the whole ship but managed a starter, main meal and the popcorn sundae- yes I’m greedy 😂. The only issue we had all holiday was that La Veranda closed at 2 which when you came back from a morning excursion was a rush as they were closing down food stations and we needed to eat before going back out. It was only a couple of times but does make it a rush. The food in there was always very good
Thanks for another great video. We will be sailing on the Regent Seven Seas Navigator next May. I realize the Navigator is the oldest/smallest ship in the RSS fleet and will not have as many dining options as you experienced. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to our first luxury cruise with RSS.
We would love to try the smaller ships too. Although they may not have the range of ‘facilities’ we imagine they would offer a wonderful, intimate cruise experience. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment 👍 Hope you have a great cruise.
@@_echobravo Tried to find a bit of Indonesian Folk Music for the soundtrack, but it would’ve sounded familiar, even if I knew it was not one you’ve heard. 😆
Hi Rich ^ Helen once again a superb presentation. However, I have a few questions to ask and maybe you are in a position to be able to reply but then again maybe not. Now the ship is superb, of course, but Regent and other ultra-luxury lines only have the ship built once with updates at certain stages of the ship's life. So nothing changes from one cruise to another and nor do the sky high over the top cruises fares. No matter how they dress food up lamb is still lamb. chicken is chicken, beef is beef various cuts naturally, fish is fish but they come up with various names for these dishes covering them with various sauces etc and the normal person has no idea what he or she is eating. Mesmerised by the names the dishes are given by the cruise lines. Then there are the wines and I did see the names of wines you mentioned on the Grandeur which would be basically the same through similar cruise lines. The champagne people are given on stepping on board and given a bottle in cabin is Metrolpol and the same wine sells retail in Australia 69.99 which is USD 45.00, from the wine menu that you were looking at just a couple of wines Muscadet Sevre Et Maine Sur Lie in Australia sells for AUD 21.99 which is only USD 14.15, then another wine Bernard Griffin Merlot Colunbia Valley USA sells in Australia for only AUD 19.75 which is USD 12.71 and it goes on and on. These are far from premium wines and remember in land wholesalers/retailers have paid sales tax and duty which as far as I am aware the cruise lines do not pay., so why are they providing cheap wines to passengers paying extremely high cruise fares. This goes onto the more normal cruise ships. Take a cruise ship that can take say 4,000 passengers and get charged USD 20 per day per person ( I assume children also) That comes to USD 2.4 million for a 30-day month and over 12 months that is USD 28.8 million and I do not believe for one single moment that the cruise lines give that not even a part of it to the crew. But, that is only the start of it. On those larger ships passengers get charged a tax of 18% on everything that they buy onboard the ship and I am absolutely certain that comes to even more than the USD 8.8 million the cruise lines make from gratuities. That is an enormous amount of money the cruise lines are making. This has never ever been covered or referred to by any bloggers on here but then again why would they if they are not paying the cruise fares is mortals are paying. Never yet seen a blogger really call out any cruise line. The only place you will see this is in Cruise Critic and similar. Just something else Aldo Australia sell a Sauvignon Blanc white wine for as low as AUD 5.99 about USD 4 and Wolf Blass have a similar one for the same price people I know cannot tell the difference between this low-priced wine and a lot more expensive wines. My point is even the ultra-luxury lines are supplying very low-cost wines, and other drinks for a very high price. A rip off I do not know but certainly very shady.
Been on the Regent Explorer, Splendor and Grandeur over the last few years… Personal opinion Regent is the finest when it comes to their restaurants and food! And their ships are so beautiful throughout. Prefer Regent over Silversea and Seabourn, although those are great ships as well!
On our cruise on the Mariner this month, the concentus stripmsteaks were not good, The were well seasoned and cooked as asked, but the meat was fatty and sinue
Such an opulent and eclectic selection of cuisine. Oh. And the indoor and especially OUTDOOR spaces to complement. That is my idea of what a modern cruise ship should be.
My dear.... I will tell you something that will impact you about seven seas, I worked for long time in seven seas as a waiter, in Regent seven seas is not good all as you see, behind the service for sure you eat many times with spoons without wash, yes, that is totally true, in all seven seas is missing spoons, forks, or any other item, so during the service is very busy and all the waiters need this items but we don't have more, that is the moment where all the waiters in the station use only one wet rack to clean the dirty spoons to make it look like washed and serve to the guest, if you eat at the beginning you maybe eat with clean items, but if you are after 7 or 8 guest in one station, for sure they give you dirty items becouse every station have around 23 guest, but every station have only 6 or 7 spoon or forks, so what the waiters have to do, I know there is dish washers, but to wash there is too long and the supervisor make a bigg complain if we do a slow service, and they know that waiters only Polish this items, but they prefer that instead of slow service and they know that we don't have complete items and is impossible give fast service and wash at the same time becouse the food once is ready on the station and hot, we have second to serve to the gust and we don't have items, I say this all becouse I never liked to do that but we are Forced to do that and I'm in totally disagree with that, I want the service in all restaurants must be clean becouse I eat also in restaurants...
Ok my take. Every single restaurant looked lovely and most of the food delish. And of course your presentation with superlative as always. But as someone with an allergy (and not the only person in the world) I was disappointed that when I froze the menu scenes I did not find any even basic allergy information such as indicating nut or dairy. Only plant based. Which given other lines do that is disappointing for a 5 star small ship line. I know you can ask a waiter no doubt but to sit there and say ‘that, and what about that, and that’ is embarrassing for both passenger and time consuming for the service staff.
@@xr6lad Thanks for highlighting this. I don’t have an answer for you but the menus we have shown are only snapshots. Allergen info must be there somewhere for the level of cuisine they are serving, but I can’t remember and didn’t note it. Sorry about that. 🙂

Oh stop it!! Again! Lol! I'm so envious - that all looks just absolutlely gorgeous - how come the two of your aren't the size of barns?! I put on 5ilbs just watching that 🙃
If by some odd chance I ever found myself on Splendor is it bad that I would gladly trade a night at Chatreuse for a second at Pacific Rim and that I would skip over the lobster for the Massaman curry? Is there a bar in Pacific Rim by chance?
Not bad at all, but we’d probably try to go for just an extra night at Pacific Rim - Chartreuse was also excellent. And we probably wouldn’t have chosen the lobster but our server recommended it, and boy were we glad we tried it, it was amazingly delicious 😋❤️
Rich & Helen, Have a look at cruise critic although some give the ship 5 stars a lot more give it a lot less so I wonder how real these reviews are as the real reviews seem to be at odds with what bloggers online say. Is this because these bloggers do not wish to upset the cruise lines? As I said once before and you said also Fred Olsen give great value for money the food is exactly as normal people would eat in fact probably better without pretentions.
