- 2010 jeep patriot 2.4 l fwd one piece modular clutch assembly and throughout bearing / slavecylinder replacement, assembly is just reverse of teardown so i did not film re assembly .
theres a bleeder screw that comes out the side of the bell housing where the hydraulic line meets the slave cylinder/throughout bearing .
Ed Feldmann is there a specific procedure or is it like bleeding brakes?
how do you get line disconnected here? i live in minnesota and theres a lot of rust build up here. The retaining clip on the line was seized to some degree. I managed to get it removed, but now the line will not separate here.
@@t.b0tthebotanist419 any luck with that same problem
heres a better question once you have it all back together and start bleeding it why does it keep leaking and spraying inside where you just replace it
Hi Ed. How many hours of a job would you say this should take ?
I cannot get mine back together, how did you slide it back it?
Hey Ed, I was wondering about the slave cylinder/throwout bearing.
Does the clutch fluid run through it or is it actuated by a rod on the clutch master cylinder where the bleeder nipple is?
I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot 2.4L FWD, I'm confused about whether or not the stock clutch is modular or conventional. When I look on RockAuto (or other suppliers) I find both modular clutch kits (with the flywheel built into the assembly) and conventional clutch kits (with the flywheel separate from the assembly) both appearing as available for my jeep. Not sure which to buy, and the dealership won't give me the OEM part number so that I can compare. Help pls.
Kori Moncur have you figured this out? I have the same Jeep. I’m actually selling my Jeep but I want to factor the price for a replacement piece like this.
How did you bleed the slave cylinder properly?
i use an old 20 oz pop bottle i have filled with dot 3 fluid i drilled a hole in the cap and i csn use a piece of whatever diameter vacuum hose through usually 1/4 id or 5/16 id i run it to the bleeder nipple open the nipple , then top off the resevoir and slowly pump the clutch pedal checking the fluid in the res every couple of pump till i dont see bubbles in the fluid in the pop bottle.
bleeder valve?
dude, I watched all of these to see how you remove the transmission and you skipped that part! What the hell??
