My issue is a clunk noise when letting off the clutch starting the car or putting in gear and throwing it back to neutral, lets off clutch, clunk. When drive no noise, this happen after the clutch was broke in after changing to a new clutch

Hi, managed to get the issue sorted? The clunk noise you're experiencing when engaging and disengaging the clutch, particularly after a new clutch installation, could indicate an issue with the clutch assembly or related components. This might be due to improper installation, a misalignment, or a problem with the transmission mount or drivetrain. It's advisable to have the installation checked by a professional to ensure everything is correctly aligned and secured.

Yesterday I got stranded here on the left lane side of the road . When I was at full stop, my shifting became stiff and I was unable to shift while my clutch pedal slowly stick to the floor. Also when I step on the gas, RPM goes up and my car wouldn’t move at all. My engine still running. Is this a worn out master or slave cylinder or just pure clutch worn out? FYI I’m at 168K mileage right now and recently replaced my master and slave cylinder 2 mos ago. Thank u.

Did you find out what was the problem?

What if the clutch is super stiff after clutch replacement? Before I replant clutch the pedal wouldn’t be stiff and I could press to the floor to start the engine. After clutch replacement the clutch is super stiff and I cannot reach the clutch safety switch because of how hard it is.
Edit: my car is a 2010 Audi S4, and I believe the clutch shares reservoir with the brake fluid

Hi apologies for the late response. If the clutch is super stiff after replacement on your 2010 Audi S4, and considering the clutch shares the reservoir with the brake fluid, the issue may involve air in the hydraulic system, incorrect installation, or a mismatched component. Bleeding the clutch hydraulic system to remove air, checking for proper installation alignment, and ensuring the right parts were used are recommended steps to address the stiffness.
      Managed to sort it out?

@@HonestMechanicChannel I haven’t sorted it out. I have already dropped the transmission 3 times and disassembled the clutch assembly 2 times. I already broke 5 slave cylinders. I can’t figure it out why the fck it keeps cracking my slave cylinders

I have an 09 ford focus 5 speed. When I have the clutch pedal fully depressed I cannot get the car in gear. While I am trying to get it into gear the car also moves forward a little bit. Like the clutch is still engaged even though I have the pedal all the way down. I can eventually get it into gear with some effort, but it does not feel good doing so. Once I am moving I have no issues shifting, It feels completely normal unless I am trying to shift while I am stopped. Any ideas?

Sounds like its the slave cylinder not releasing the clutch

My daughter just bought her first cheap car 2003 Kia spectra. So she's leaning how to drive a manual and did awesome until the pedal stuck to the floor. I had to hop in the driver's seat and manually pull the pedal up while giving it gas to make it home.
The car only does this after it warms up a bit and it's a strange car to begin with, the clutch gets it's fluid from the brake reservoir. Fluid is darker also, I don't want my inexperienced daughter to pull on to the HWY and get T boned at 60 mph. So I will be replacing the master cylinder and replacing and bleeding all brakes since they use the same fluid.

Hi, Sorry to hear that. It sounds like the clutch pedal sticking could be due to a problem with the hydraulic system, especially since it shares fluid with the brakes and the fluid is dark. Replacing the master cylinder and bleeding the brakes and clutch system is a good approach to ensure safety and proper functioning of both systems.
