ONE VIDEO SAID IT COULD BE SIMPLY A $0.50 O-RING THATS OCASSIONALLY LEAKING IN SLAVE CLYNDER FEEDER LINE CONNECTOR. IM 74 A DISABLED VET... CANT AFFORD TO GET STRANDED. COULD IT BE THAT O-RING? SHOPS WANT $700 OR MORE SAYING IT NEEDS A NEW SLAVE CYLINDER BUT DONT MENTION THE ORING. WHAT CHA THINK? CAN THAT BE REPLACED WITHOUT PULLING THE TRANNY?
@@truthseeker1693 700 for a slave cylinder change is very expensive. find out the price of the slave cylinder and then add the labour ontop to see if 700 is fair. and yes u dont pull out the transmission to change the cmc or the slave cylinder.
I’ve done three clutches in my Impreza and it’s been the release bearing everytime. Also the fork bent and started to split but the bearing was still shot. Could be anything bud.
Dude literally the same thing happened to me tonight! Well I wasn’t doing a burnout but I went to go leave and it wouldn’t go in gear unless it was off. Even then I turned it on in gear and still wouldn’t shift! I’m struggling trying to make sense of it. What was the problem and solution for your car? I’d appreciate any feedback 🙌🏼
This happened to me racing, and when I got home that night to park it the shifter felt heavy like it was dangling in the gearbox, after I parked it the next day it wouldn’t go into gear.unless it was off but one day it started going into gears while the car was on but I haven’t drove it since

Hello, I wonder if you can help me I have a 2018 Ford Fiesta manual six speed 11,000 miles diesel after driving the car every night in town for about an hour. The car starts to shudder when releasing the clutch in first gear or reverse. This happens every time after an hour of driving it. Any ideas what this could be please thank you🙏🏻
My gear stick gets stuck in reverse and am unable to move it back to neutral unless i pump the clutch a few times. I bled the slave but its still doing it. Shal i replace the slave or could this be something else?
My grandson got a Honda Acura srx type s he replaced flywheel clutch pressure plate and pulled it out of garage and the slave cylinder popped now it will go in all gears but won't move.
Sounds like the slave cylinder same happened to my vehicle , I had them change the whole clutch at the same time as it was near the end of its wear life, find out if your slave cylinder is outside or inside where the clutch is mounted, if its outside just get that done, that is of course if it ends up being the problem, if its inside figure out how old the clutch is, the majority of cost is in the labour.

It would clunk and everything would be fine for a while. I’ve not driven the car for a week and the method I’ve just mentioned doesn’t work. Clutch actually works at bottom 3 or 4 inches of pedal travel. Any ideas? Slave cylinder, thrust bearing? I’ve had the fluid changed a few weeks ago after the trouble. VW Passat 2.0 tdi 2014.
Yea this might be a little late but I was having a similar issue in my G37. After some time it got worse and would get stuck to the floor barely working at all. Ended up being my slave cylinder and I replaced the clutch aswell
My 2008 chevy hhr clutch pedal went to the floor and the return spring flung off too. I assumed my issue was just the spring popping off. But it was so worn. I could find a replacement spring any where so I rigged one. Now the car won’t go into gear when it’s running. What’s the issue?
I have a squeaking clutch that is stiff to push and gets stuck at the bottom so took it to a garage, they said the master cylinder was leaking and so replaced it. I was charge £400. The day after I got the car back I drove it for an hour and it’s still sticking and squeaking…I’m really unhappy they haven’t fixed the issue but before I go back, after watching this video am I right to think it’s the slave cylinder? Would this not have been easy for them to spot when they “traced the fault” as specified on their invoice. Just trying to make sure I don’t get ripped off.

Hi I have recently been facing an issue where in case of too much traffic my car heats a lot and there is some fuel burn smell and my clutch pedal gets spongy and I can't shift gears. After turning off the engine and waiting for an hour allowing things to cool off everything works fine again.

Combination of pressure plate quality Slave cylinder quality that doesn't have a double seal ....End It's just really tough these days you've gotta get really good brands Maybe everything from the dealer Or do more do more research C. nothing is a perfect seal so you can have a slave cylinder sucking it in air without losing fluid and when it gets hot out outside You can barely barely shift..
I have a hydrolic intermittent fail then work again pedal high then can drop to floor at different times while in use replaced master and slave cyl don't know what to do now ???
my volvo 940 turbo has slave cylinder problem the slave cylinder moves back and forth when you press pedal down there supposed to be locking ring but i think its gone😂

That's cool, but, why was the fluid low? Brake fluid doesn't evaporate, so there's a leak, all be it a small one, there's a leak non the less

Bro I changed etios clutch plate, release bearing and cover assy after that I started the engine gear not shifting (air lock released).

Depends if that's the issue causing it to not release all the way so it grinds as your trying to go into next gear.
My clutch pedal only goes about halfway down. Could this be the slave cylinder or something more serious like throwout bearing?

My truck does that but only on shut off. I think it's engine timing
Maybe your riding the clutch while driving. Causing it to over heat after hour of driving in turn its slipping a little making it shutter

Slave cylinder default position is engaged clutch, if it’s a bad slave it won’t release your clutch

If the issue has not been fixed. RETURN TO THE GARAGE ASAP. and DO NOT pay they anything extra as they have not sorted the root cause of your problem.

If you didn't replace the lines and used the old ones they could be clogged. Also did you bleed it after replacing those?
