Hell yeah! I have a Toyzuki V2.5, a northwesters truggy, a HiLow Brazin, and a Rad Rocks Zukosaurus. I’m still piecing them all together but I’m not stuck to one single brand. I believe there’s a truck for every occasion and soon enough I’ll have em all lol.

Hi Brett!! Thanks for the video. I just shot you an email on your website, and you responded back very quickly. Shot another, then found this video. This comparison helps me try to picture what I need according to parts I want to use (TRX 4 portals)…well, it’s a good start.

Great video and providing exceptional objective information to the audience. Anytime someone bashes another product for self promotion it is a complete turn off....
    Well done Brett! 👍

Excellent vid. I try to tell people all the time that there isn't a "best" way to do most anything. Lot's of wrong ways, but best is open to interpretation. The best thing you can do is drive. That is when you will figure out what YOU need.
I've been going over shock tuning with a couple buddies, and it's like pulling teeth to get them to try a different oil or a different spring.
Good stuff, keep up the good fight, and have fun.

I'd really like to see the CCW comparison. Currently on the fence on what way to go. Keeping this build straight axles, just not ready to jump into the portal wagon just yet, plus the VP portal axles are very expressive for a hobbyist.

I HOPE you Guys are surviving the Virus economy!! First of all, WELL done. What a FAIR look at competitive Chassis!!
Seeing this, the All Time Low Chassis looks like the best for the purpose of a build I've got coming up...
    A Portal Axle Unimog.
First thought was the VS4-10 Chassis... but yours can REALLY suck an Axle up into the Frame. In the end, that's what I need.
I wish that there was a stamped Steel C Chassis with that kind of clearance. I've never built a CF Chassis before, but that's not a turn off.
Frankly I had no idea what was out there for Builders... I don't like Facebook!
I agree with Josh, in that you can't say anything is the best - unless you understand ALL the options.
Thank you Brett, for an honest look at various options!!
    Stay SAFE Bro! 😷

Great info, I’d love to see specifics of what works for you on your personal rigs. (Wheelbase, skid height, shock lengths and oil weight, ride height related to the shock stroke, over all vehicle weight and link geometry related to squat and AS). Also vehicle purpose. (Scale trail, comp or other) Maybe this is all considered classified info and I’m over stepping boundaries but I can’t get enough of this stuff.

  • @radiocontrolcarshed2236

Just ordered your all time low. Have a set of the Vanquish Portals sitting on a game changer 4.2 that I will be pulling off and replacing with standard scx10.2 axles and figured your all time low will be perfect for the vanquish portals. Can't wait to get started on it and comparing it to the game changer and the Sherpa.

I've been considering doing a new build more to this style. Since I have a new set of Trx-4 sport axles in the parts box, the alt looks to be a good option.
I do like the idea of front mounted motors, and am also looking at the TGH / Holmes design.
So my understanding is to be in a similar configuration with an ATL I would need the toyzuki motor setup with the Axial skid?
I ask because I see you have a Traxxas link set, and want to know if that would be the proper set for a build like that.

Any way you can do a Brazin scale Flatline and the Hardline overlay on the vanquish vrd chassis?

  • @notoriousbige281

Well said and great information , everything has it’s limits and pros and cons but I think most success comes from how well you can read your terrain and adapt and tune for that it could be as simple as changing tires different tread patterns different rubber compounds .. I’m not claiming to be a professional unless that’s a professional Gumby possibly that’s just my opinion.... I’ve been tossing around the idea of building my own belly dragged frame with a tubing style cage might not work in practice as the same in theory. My vision is for more for aggressive hill climbing / trail truck running the tallest jconcepts fling Kings I can reasonably fit.... more control then a rock bouncer but more capability then a average trail rig

Love to see you put together your atl so I have a starting point. I have the brazin atl got trx4 portals and a chezbuger trans not sure what would be a good motor any info would be great thanks

Good motors are the castle slate and hobbywing axe, as well as the holmes revolver. Nice 5-slot brushed motors are made by holmes hobbies, team brood and surpass hobby. For an esc, take either the castle micro/mamba X, or go with the hw axe esc if you use the axe motor. The best brushed esc is the hobbywing 1080.
Hope you aren't that confused now😉

its not one that ive had hands on experience with yet. I do like the skid plate area on that chassis for universal build reasons as it allows a few different stock skid plates to be used without drilling or modifying, we just make different chassis for the different skids, or make our skids adapt to scx chassis

  • @garrettmiles8195

Would the all time low, fit an lrt2 trans?

    • @BrazinScaleRC
      @BrazinScaleRC  5 лет назад

The chassis is drilled for scx10 style skid plates. Im not familiar with the trans in question but if it can be installed on an scx style skid I dont see why not.
