- In Today's video, we take a closer look at 3D Professional Grade Bug Remover. 3D Bug Remover uses enzymes to break down and loosen bug remains on a molecular level, making removal of them as easy as using a detail spray! 3D Bug Remover is a powerful cleaner and its even capable of standing up to the endless plastering of Florida lovebug season. Safe for use on paint, plastic, and glass, 3D Bug Remover will be an incredibly useful addition to your detailing arsenal!
3D Bug Remover....www.amazon.com/s?k=3D+Bug+Rem...
3D Bug Remover is not just intended to be used on your paint though! You can also use 3D Bug Remover to effectively debug your plastic and glass as well!
Directions: Do not use 3D Bug Remover on a hot surface or in direct sunlight. Let 3D Bug Remover dwell on the surface for approximately a minute or two. This will allow 3D Bug Remover to break up the proteins in the remains and break the bond they have with your paint. For more extreme cases, you may need to use a bug sponge to agitate the surface and aid in bug removal. Once the bug are off your paint, you will want to wash your car or use a waterless wash to neutralize the product afterwards.

This stuff is great. It can be diluted up to 10:1 as well. I usually use it in a pump sprayer foamer.
Brian, love your shop manager, please give him a raise. As always, great content.
Will do!
I vote for a raise also
@@oursulaert yep a couple more doggy treats are deserved
I love the 3D products. I use 3D grand slam degreaser. I’m trying to limit the amount of products and find it does a good job at loosening up those nasty bug guts. Thanks for your product reviews.
Great product Brian ✊Thanks
Hi Brian, would love if you could do a bug remover comparison video between a few top brands.
Nice product.🙏🏻
I have been using this one and the P&S bug remover. 👍🏻
Thankyou for the detailed step by step.i use the product but a pro such as youself ....the mintutae we might miss....well there it is.well done.
Awesome video and product review good friend. Seems like a solid product
Definitely want to try this out!
Thank you Brian
I started using the 3D bug remover last summer, so far so good, especially for the money 😎👍
Great video! Thank you!
You are welcome!
Another great video Brian, I’ve used the 3D, P&S, and Adams polishes bug remover all seem to be decent products.
I use a lot of 3D products, awesome stuff.
Love this stuff
I took a chance on 3Ds wipe. So at the time, the 16 ounce bottle was $12.99. It wasn't that bad, but I noticed a odd odor. It wasn't a strong chemical smell just odd. I would use it in a pinch. They do make a bunch of chemicals that for the most part are reasonably priced. I'm not surprised that the bug remover did a decent job. Look at their compounds and polishes, they're top shelf IMO. Thank you Prof. Brian!
Good job Shop Manager. You did OK Brian.
Great video review Brian
Thanks 👍
You had me at antifreeze 😃👍
Nice. Going to have to grab a bottle
I used to use turtle wax bug remover but have switched to a local companies product works very well. Always enjoy a Brian and shop manager video :)
She loves to sneak into as many videos as possible! lol 🐶👍
i’d love for you to try out koch chemie eulex. no rinsing necessary, and good cleaning power. i like to spray some onr on afterwards anyways but still. great product!
Here in Florida we have love bugs. Hardest thing ever to clean. After just a day or two in the sun these bugs can start etching into paint. I use super clean degreaser diluted maybe 1/4th soak em down a few min then use wash mitt and magic eraser
The guts are acidic and can start to etch in a few hours....remove as fast as possible. 👍
Magic erasers doesn’t mar the paint?
@@whywedrink they definitely will
@@whywedrink absolutely would NOT use magic eraser on paint.
Awww good 👍🏻 shop manager 🐶
The best
3d for the win
love this stuff been using it for a while
It is doing well as bug season gets heavier each day here. 👍
Great.
How do you like this 3d compare to chemical guy bug?
3D Bugs is my go to also, i buy the Gallon and make many bottles for a fraction of the retail price, Enzyme Magic !! i always activate once it has dwelled , and it takes care of Business. ! ;-)
I've used Poorboy's bug squash for year with good results, may pick up a 16oz of the 3d to try. Can never have enough bug removers on hand. The skeeters and love bugs are bad this time of year in south Louisiana.
Hi Brian. I use Gtechniq W8 V2 Bug Remover. And that product is amazing.
Agreed, an excellent product and I've enjoyed it as well, but for the price, it's not even close.
I use 3D bug it’s great. I’ll actually pre rinse first apply 3D bug then let it sit for a 1 to 2 minutes than foam cannon let that sit for a few. The bug guts come right off love the stuff.
Ceramic coat always helps and you don't need bug specific remover.
let us see the paint correction being done, never get enough of that
I have this in my trunk for long trips
Brian, I learned that the 16oz bottle is ready to use, however the gallon is concentrated and requires dilution, allowing you to make a stronger mix if you wish.
Sweet...On a coated car...best to dilute it 5:1
I use the P&S Bug off and get very similar results with a 5:1 dilution ratio (A lot of people have success at 10:1 as well from my research. At $31/gal that seems to be the best bang for the buck I've found for dried on bug guts. I've not used it straight, but I'm assuming it would do a better job.
I have some Active Foam on order as well after Miranda's video with Koch. Wicked cheap. Will be interested to see the results.
Great price.
Can you try some of Jax Wax products. Their bug remover is supposed to be top notch as well.
Is this safe on coating
Wonder how turtle wax max power would do on bugs from a pump sprayer/ foamer?
What is your go to for bug splatter?
Superior Products Rage (Dark Fury)
Koch chemie active foam(100:1 dilution)😎
Griot's Garage Bug and Smudge Remover followed by Bug Barricade for easy future bug removal on non coated cars
Gyeon
Bilt Hamber Surfex HD in 1:30. An alkaline pumpsprayer or foam pumpsprayer and apply on the bugs splatter and other heavy grime. Apply the snow foam over it usually BH Auto-Foam in 2%then the bugs splatter and road film during the summer is rinsed off with the PW. If it's very hard to remove and feels like needed some agitations. BH Surfex HD in 1:10 which I use on the tires gets a spray on any noticeble bug splatter and that usually does the trick. But in 1:10 Surfex HD is strong so topper is advise LOL
I need something like this but I sometimes don’t have access to a hose to rinse it. Suggestions? Like for road trips.
thanks for the video. If this is a 6 or 7 to you, do you have any bug prays that are a 9 or 10?
It's great stuff: ruclips.net/video/oGiI2ozvobQ/видео.html
By the way, love the handle.
I am guessing you prefer Citrol over this, is that a good guess?
Excellent video. Thank you. But, this process is part of a car washing. What if you have been out for a drive, get home, see bug impacts and want to remove them without performing a car wash? Is there a quick approach to use before you eventually get to a car wash day?
He answers that at the very end.
Supposedly 1320 video has some crazy bug remover. It would be interesting to see what you think of the lineup.
My guess is that the product is slightly acidic. Which also means that it also chews off any waxes or sealants. I use Carpro Bug Out. Works good. I do go through alot of it though. Thx Brian.
You are correct. Nanoskin Happy Bug is another great option.
It contains an enzyme to break down proteins.
It used to be that bug remover was also tar remover. Now they seem to be separate products. Are they very different?
No solvents in this that I am aware of.
back window!!
The bug juice acid was left on to long and has etched into the paint, should you just try using a polishing compound with a buffer to remove the etching because nothing will take it off. If that doesn’t work I was thinking of using 3M Trizact 8000 grit sandpaper by hand to level the surface very lightly ( 3 or 4 passes by hand ) just enough to remove the etching in the clearcoat and then finishing up with a polishing compound. I tried using the sandpaper in an inconspicuous spot like under the trunk lid and they came out easily. Your thoughts?
If left in the paint long enough...yes...will etch. 3K grit is enough to remove them.
I've always used Poor Boys Bug Squash, are you able to make a comparison to that?
I have not tried that one as of yet.
Nice video. You need a new shop manager!! Yours is slacking, didn't even notice the drivers side rear window was down. How much you paying that one anyway?
Brian, will this effect coatings with weekly use?
I havent seen it myself but letting any chemical dwell to long on the paint is bound to have negative effects.my 2cents.
Yes...the gallon version is dilutable. Dilute 5:1.
Is this safe for Xpel PPF ?
STEK Formula 07 is safe for PPF. Not completely sure about this one.
Is this safe to use on a ceramic coated car ?
yes
but if its just wax, i would reaply protection ! this stuff can remove tar
Sounds like the price is right at least, and I dig 3D stuff...been using GTechniq W8 and while it works great, it's pretty pricey.
2 questions Brian: is it necessary to reapply some kind of topper after using this, or is it fine to simply wait until the next wash (assuming you wash somewhat regularly)?
Second, I noticed you rated it a 6-7. Not bad, but do you have a big remover that scores better that you recommend? Or is this one of the product areas where there's no clear front runners?
Always appreciate your effort to make these clips man, thanks
Great questions Adam 👍 wondering the same.
I would top after use as often as possible. On coated cars...the gallon may be a better option as it is made to dilute. 5:1 is the sweet spot. Nanoskin Happy Bug is m favorite.
Where can you get it for $8.99? On Amazon it’s twice that. Or did they raise the price right after the review.
Try here then.....www.autogeek.net/3d-bug-remover-16.html?productid=3d-bug-remover-16&channelid=FROOG&CSEs&GoogleProductSearch&CSE&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm6KUBhC3ARIsACIwxBhIzOgmJlIpi_L8z7_cBwvlG4qdtWLW_PYuf0_9yaWdPbT4TfwOWwYaAoxtEALw_wcB
Steam steam and more wet steam. No chemicals !
Just saw it 16oz for $14.95 on Amazon.
What do you rate 9 or 10/10?
You don't need to use bug remover spray. Fill up a bottle with water, put the nozzle on jet, that way you can just jet them off quickly, than mist microfiber and panel for a final wipe down. I always remove bugs on my front bumper and a quarter up my hood, mirror caps and the front lip of my roof whenever i take the highway early in the morning and at night. Do this after every car ride.. No point ln removing protection when you don't have to.
If you can catch them fresh....absolutely.
😁👍🏻
Where did you find it for that price? $15 on Amazon.

All the bug removers are waste of money hot water in a spray bottle works great
