Amazing video. No filler, no fluff. Very informative, thank you!
Been using the Bug Erase Wipes for a couple of years, and got to say they are great! Would not have known about them but for Owen Lucas who did this well-documented review. THANK YOU!
Glad you like them!
@@OwenLucas Would you ever consider a similar demonstration of car waxes?
Just purchased Stoner wipes this today, based on your comparison test. 2400 Miles of bug guts gone in 10 minutes of work!!
Thanks a Bunch. You Rock !!
Great to hear, thank you!
For someone who lives in the deep south of Louisiana currently in the height of lovebug season, this video is a godsend
I'm glad the video was helpful. I can only imagine what a 2 hr long, 70mph drive during lovebug season would do to the front of a car!
Look I’m here thing year in Lake Charles like what am I going to do 😂😂
Thank you for creating a thorough video and linking all of your products!
Great comparison test. Because of your test results I bought the Bug Eraser pads at Lowes and they work better than anything I've ever tried. Thank you so much for making this video!
You're welcome and glad it was helpful!
great format and very helpful. Exactly what I was hoping to find. Thanks
Great videos. I've watched this and the bug/tar removal video. Thank you for doing the research for us. It helps so much. In particular I really appreciate you being matter of fact and to the point. No fluff - just facts. Thank You !!
This is really an all inclusive review. Thank you for the time and effort in putting this together, it answered all my questions (and then some).
Glad it was helpful!
This video is perfect! Literally answered all my concerns. 🥰
Thank you for showcasing the effectiveness of these products!
Just an awesome video. I have never seen such a detailed description and comparison. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! It's very helpful!
You are so welcome!
You can forget those all these chemicals and just get yourself a bug block sponge
As long as you soften the bugs up I think that would work great!
This was excellent. Thank you!
Top notch review, short and to the point. Thanks!
I’m glad it was helpful!
Great test and video!
Thank you!
BTW, the Bug Eraser wipes are way less expensive at Lowes vs. Amazon
Love the test. Comprehensive, balanced and consistent testing between products. Quick - no padding. So helpful. Great to see the before and after together. Very Impressive.
Being lazy, I want one product for Tar and Bugs. I watched your comparison of Tar removers as well and settled on the Turtle Wax product to do both jobs well.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent work. You have a top notch channel. Thanks.
I appreciate that!
I have had similar experiences with the products tested. I've found the Stoner's wipes to be effective , but there are alternatives that work very well and are more efficient, and as a detailer efficiency is key. Two products that I've found that perform well are Superior products, and Mckee's 37. They typically remove bug deposits on first application after dwell time when used with a bug scrub sponge. Thanks for the video!
Ive used damp dryer sheets and they work well with a little elbow grease.
hi from iraq Baghdad .... man thnx for your great work ... i used to watch you while ago ... and now am back again learning fr you bro ... thnx u 😎
Thank you very much sir! More video to come!
15 different products😨 you got my sub👍🏼
Thanks for the sub!
Thx for the helpful information will make sound choices off your results
This video is godsend. Thank you
Good information. Thanks for doing it.
Been using Lifter 1 bug and tar remover. I’ve gotten great results and it never messed with my paint. But I have since switched to Chem Guy bug and tar remover. Works well and gentler on the finish.
Chemical Guys make some great stuff, I'll have to try their bug and tar remover.
I've used the other basic bug & tar removers to get the bugs off my car. I ordered the 3M Bug Remover, and that's all I will use anymore. I've had the most luck with it with the least amount of work. It was a nasty summer of bugs by me, and this made short work of them, even after they baked on in the hot sun for a few days or weeks.
Removing baked on bugs is the worst! I'm glad the 3M worked for you 👍
After spraying the bumper with water, I use a wet Costco dryer sheet to wipe the bugs off. Works pretty good and inexpensive too!!
CITROL works wonders for my detailing business. Simply spray it on, wait 30 seconds and blast off with pressure washer. Time is money
Got to the point, Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Thanks. Very interesting.
You are welcome!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Bugs stuck on front of 2019 camry se for a week. Rinsed off front section and windshield of car, washed with Dawn detergent and microfiber chenille mitt and it took bugs off with a little soft fingernail scrub here and there. No need for all these chemicals unless you have road tar to deal with.
Soaking the bugs down makes a huge difference.
Great video
Thank you!
Thx u for your information 😢
Your welcome!
With that many bug you should buy a big screen guard I put window screen mesh on all intake inlets at leat do that. Also be sure to check air filter and clean condenser and radiation fins forward and back more often
Thanks
Great job
Thank you!!
Stoner bug eraser works fantastic! Got it at Lowe's,on sale even! It's slippery and hard to keep hold of but if you get past that it's the best by far! Great review, saves me time, money and effort. Thank you.
As many have already said, thank you for doing this. Im literally trying to figure out which one to buy when i walk in the kragen orielleys in 5 minutes
Awesome, I hope you are able to get the bugs off, it's that time of year!
I needed this video man thank you very much. I have the shittiest bug remover at home lol
What about putting the winners on there and then pressure washing to see which works best without agitation?
Awesome video
Thanks!
@@OwenLucas your welcome
Best stuff I’ve ever used is zip strip. not only didn’t it get every bug but it took all the paint off as well and in only one application. 😆
🤣
BUT… how do they perform just spraying then washing the car at a car wash using the spray wand? Do any work well without scrubbing?
Extra tough. Best bug remover I’ve used. It’s safe on paint, can be diluted. I spray it on and the bugs come right off. No scrubbing needed.
I’ll have to check it out.
I just ordered 3d, but dryer sheets works very very well too.
Dryer sheets to wipe it off? Instead of the spray?
@@GraveyardVintage yes, soak the vehicle with water and use a wet dryer sheet to wipe them off. 3d does work so much easier though.
How this guy doesnt have more subscribers?
I actually bought Mothers Speed yesterday! Very good product and effective. Just 2 spays and it removed all bug remains
Best stuff to move tar is turtle spray wax.
Thanks.
You're welcome
First apply the bug remover and wait for 10 minutes or something and after alittle hot water pressure wash with soap option or only hot water pressure washer.
But do not wipe !
doing god’s work
I have used Seafoam Bug Remover , it came out a few years ago ? Though after spraying and letting it dwell for a few minutes , I use a pressure washer at the self serve car wash . I think you might be scratching the paint , etc by wiping it away .
I use Labocosmetica Primus 1:30 , works amazing for bugs :)
The real problem is that UVs from the Sun catalizes the bugs liquids and eats away a microscopic part of the paint .
I’ll have to look up that product, thank you for the recommendation. Interesting how bugs and the sun ruin the paint, even more important to remove them quickly!
@@OwenLucas 1:30 is the dilution .
Primus is very effective on bugs , I bought it cause I got a free diluted sample to try back when it was a new product.
@@dimmacommunicationPrimus rock on
I like the way you did this, but as someone else commented, will you do another that’s nose fair and thorough? It needs to be more consistent, especially given that you ranked the foaming mothers cleaner at the top, but let’s be real… you used it on the corner of the bumper and that section hardly had any bugs to start out with.
... I used The Maguires Ultimate quick Detailer spray it works wonders
Great stuff! I like their interior detailer as well.
A regular car wash soap should have been included in a test
If you presoak your vehicle with water in the area bug guts are you can get a wet bounce dryer sheet and wipe it over the areas but guts are you can remove the bug guts pretty effortlessly
Great advice, thank you!
Awesome test! Where can sonax be purchased??
I have a link to Amazon for the Sonax in the video description below it.
Superior Dark Fury at oriellys auto parts is the best im a certified auto detailer 30 yrs
Gotta try seafoam bugs be gone and super clean.
I didn't know seafoam made a bug remover. Thanks!
Pearl thank you for doing this review because I’ve been wondering which product actually does the best job! Driving between northern Illinois and northern Tennessee is really a problem with these bugs caked on!
Glad it was helpful!
I feel like if you would’ve pre washed the bumper with just water. Most of the bugs would’ve come off and would’ve had better results with all products that’s where alot of people go wrong. Find a product you like soak the bumper get a bug sponge saturated with your product and while the bumper is wet, your product should foam up regardless removing all bugs.
I agree, that’s the best way to remove bugs with a thorough prep and wash. In this video I wanted to test the power of the products on fresh baked on bugs without any other intervention.
But that defeats the exact purpose of this test!! When comparing things why would you want to give them an advantage and thus removing the chance to see what the true potential is of each thing your comparing. If you want to find the best in a big comparison you'd want to put every one up against tough challenges. Then you can really see which ones actually get the job done and which ones can't handle it. What you are suggesting is not at all how you should do it and completely bass ackwards of how to conduct a large comparison
great video ! I would like to mention that Seafoam Bugs - B - Gone is another really good product for removing bugs .... i would like to try the 3M product here as well as a few others ..... great job you did here 👍
I'll have to look into Seafoam. Thanks for the info!
Did you blow up everyone’s stock of turtle wax power foam or did they discontinue it?
Would you ever try a diluted all purpose cleaner like SuperClean?
Super Clean does not appear to be clear coat safe unfortunately.
@@OwenLucas Thanks. I've been using it (5:1 ratio) without apparent issues, but maybe I've been lucky. I'll put a dedicated remover on the shopping list.
This looks like an expensive experiment / Great video . We need something that will resist bugs from sticking . Use a dryer sheet instead of a micro fibre cloth . ( I use to help formulate car wash products in Ontario Canada . )
I agree. Maybe a good ceramic coating will help with removal at least. Thank you for the drier sheet trick, I'll give it a try.
I feel like you should try citrol by Schaeffer's
It’s been recommended before here, I’ll have to try it!
you didn't include Citrol in this review... arguably the most effective / popular among detailers
I didn't know about Citrol but thank you for bringing it to my attention! I'll have to check it out.
To be fair, shouldn't you have before/after AND "final" for all of them?
Interesting how he ignored this comment….
Thank you for sharing this. I fear our bug problem of love bug stains is worse than other bugs. Three days ago we hit a patch of love bugs and when we washed our white hood this morning, the bugs came off, but left a red circular stain. We tried vinegar, Goo gone, and bought Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and it didn’t touch the stain after leaving it on for several minutes, several times. The red dots look terrible and we are thinking we might have to try detailing clay.
Those love bugs sure are tough! Detailing clay should do the trick or buffing compound.
How many bugs died before this test?
Way too many. I picked up all of the bugs driving through a wooded area for 4 hours at night. The next day I saw the front of the CRV and said, "this would make a great bug remover video". 🤣
id say not enough, this happens so fast its insane
1.5 trillion! 🤣
what about Chemical Guys or Adam products?
I'll have to include those in my next video. I just need a few million more bugs on my front bumper. 😂
@@OwenLucas Add Schaeffer's Manufacturing 266 Citrol Cleaner and Sea Foam Bugs-B-Gone Bug Remover to your next test too. Great job!
Clutch Video
You never tried engine degreaser....
That is a great recommendation!
how did you find so many bugs lol..
I drove through a forest 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening on a trip. The windshield was much worse! No amount of bug wash can clean off a windshield full of bugs smashing every minute lol.
2400 PSI ouch! lets not oversimplify just use Citrol!
Just got a new car this channel is pretty cool I wanna keep it nice and shiny
Congratulations on the new car and enjoy!
From my experience Turtle Wax is awful at this
You’d think they’d be one of the best!
