You're definitely my favourite source of practical tips and tuning for my Mini-Z drift chassis. After watching this video, I got the Demio body and put it on my GLD. I didn't use it for my MA-030 since it already drifts pretty well with the Civic Type R body but my GLD has always tended to spin out. Happy to report that the Demio body has finally tamed this chassis with judicious use of 5g weights. Now please post the decals video. This body really needs some "character".
Haha OK. Will do. I love this body now, it was my bro mini z middle east, whom reccommend hatch back shells for better drifting. He also gave me the decals idea.
Always a good watch mate. I found over time with my lf tyres there is a little mold lid in the middle of the tyre so I use and scalpel and trim it off and the tyres go on alot easier for
Hi, thnx for an answer. May I ask you one more question as a guru? I made my DIY ICS adapter an I play with settings, now time for Gyro gain settings. I am not succeed to find comprehensive description of these settings and really curious how to adjust them correctly. Can you advice pls?
You are too kind. Yes the settings you can see in my video ruclips.net/video/aSXX69ekTQw/видео.html I have found with mini z gyro setting can be very high before effect is pronounced. 50 to 60 percent. Pls try this as, percentage of ics gyro gain. Keep throttle gyro gain off.
Awesome video! Some of the plastic on the motor mount can be filed down without compromising rigidity so you can fit more bodies onto it. Building it from ground up. Now just need to install RA-39 Brushed system and the center shaft. Still yet to find out if 90mm is doable for my FC RX-7 rwd. Right now it doesn't seem like it would be. My ultimate goal with this project is to be able to drift an RWD converted MA-030. If not, then it will be a well balanced AWD RX-7 lol.
Man the AAA batteries is my favorite part of mini-z, that one point makes it the perfect chassis to take on vacation or just out of the house in general.
Yes only agree only problem is incredibly rare to find unless you make one yourself. I have 2 and have made one myself. But I think the Ma030evo is better in 98mm set up than ma020 chasis largely due to the battery layout. . I've seen on ebay in Japan for £300 used👍🏽
Since you talked about this being 98mm but still agile due to the body shape, which mini-z body do you think is the least twitchy? There are many big ones like the Challenger, 300C, E34, M3, or even the Mini Vans above 102mm. Are they all the same or is there one that’s particularly slow and smooth to drift? Thanks!
This is on an evo awd max wheelbase 98 mm . This suits the awd evo . I got the idea from another channel and he tuned it with that shell . The longer bodies make it more stable the overhang on a hatch back is easier to judge.
Depends on what you want from it. I got mine for rcp drift racing as its more powerful and dws rear. You can have plenty of fun with ma020. But on a track you would need the now discontinued ma020 ve Pro to stand a chance.
Your set up is sweet. I don't think you will gain anything by getting Ma030evo awd. I have both. If you want a brushless set up then you have no choice really. But if you are happy 😊 don't bother. What wheelbase/ shell you rocking?

Thanks 👍🏽. I've done that in one of mine. I've got a new smaller motor mount on the way to review.
@@GarageMiniRCUK awesome! Looking forward to it!
Damn bro your getting better & better with the drifting skills & edits! Can’t wait to see the decals video 😉

Cheers bro great to have you back felt a, bit flat with you Mia.
Awesome driving👍
Thanks 👍🏽
Awesome video. I might buy one of these. Looks like it performs well.
Only real issue is limited bodies due to motor position. I did a video on quite a few videos that fit.
I have chosen eventually MA-020VE Pro instead of 030EVO. I didnt like high CG and non compatibility with all the bodies i like.

ma030 evo is hands down my favorite too of theirs too
That intro 👊🏿😎
Thanks 👍🏽
Sub'd & Liked!!! With the New Noble NB4 module FS-RM005 now available the MA-020 is compatible with a nice transmitter!!! Great Videos!!! Cheers \M/
Yes, I'm wanting the module. Just haven't got round to it. Thanks bro 😎
Beautiful body 👍😊👍
Thank you 👍🏽
How did u get gyro to work? I have the nice kyosho 532 and ics but it won't work in evo rx mode. Only fhss but then the throttle can't be adjusted
Try key assignment
Good !
You can see it slowly .
Thanks 👍🏽

@@GarageMiniRCUK Which body makes the most difference in terms of reducing twitchiness?
I plan to put it on a GLD.
Longer the better . Wider the better . I had corvette zr1
@@GarageMiniRCUK Thank you!
@@GarageMiniRCUK is there any database out there with total length measurements?
Only thing I could find is wheelbase and offset/tire infos.
Did you use lipo or lifo's in your evo?
Lithium fe I think
@@GarageMiniRCUK Can or did you make a video over that?
Hi, when did you launch the decals video?
It was part of another video I did. Let me look.
@@GarageMiniRCUK Ok...i'm waiting for your reply...thx bro!
ruclips.net/video/9FpQkAplONI/видео.html at about 13mins

What mods do you have on your ma020?
@@GarageMiniRCUK I have mounted:
Front Oneway Unit
Rigid Axle
X-SPEED V Motor
DS racing drift tires
