It couldn't have been easy to sign away creative rights to her most successful creation and allow the showrunners to kill her character off and do whatever they wanted with it. But she did it because she didn't want the crew to lose their livelihoods. I can't think of many actors who would be that principled

I know why roseanne had to leave the show but I feel like any defense of the character is also a defense of the person by the cast. They agree that the reason she is gone is her through her own fault but they demand respect fo everything else she is and was for all of them, that goes for the show family and the family they built over 30 years of friendship. I love that they wont let her creation move away from her.

My Mom and I regularly watch the footage of that insane tsunami. So much destruction! Nature is powerful. There are at least two people here in Oregon, USA who still have the tsunami in mind. Although I'm confused about what this has to do with Roseanne.
I was there when it happened. Prayers, blessings, and condolences to those who lost their lives near Sendai, Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear plant, and all of Japan affected by the tsunami and earthquake of 2011.

Laurie Metcalf and Dan Goodman carried that show, along with secondary character actors like Estelle Harris, Ned Beatty, Shelly Winters, Martin Mull, and Fred Ward. I knew someone that worked on that show and, supposedly, Roseanne was really mean and an absolute nightmare to work with. Sara Gilbert, I think, was just trying to minimize damage and save tons of jobs. It's not just actors involved. It's also the crew.
