No matter how you feel about Barr , this family is the MOST REAL EVER on TV.
I love her. Idgaf.
As a black man, I thought she was great and was canceled for no reason. Anyone who still gets offended by shit like that is a sensitive snowflake
Yes they were!!!! And are!!!!
Facts 💯 even tho I didn't like what she tweeted I still believe she deserves a second chance
She’s not even racist.. MSM attacks and censors people because of political differences
Say what you want but this show made my childhood
Hyper_ Ent
IKR?! Me tooo! I still love this show, it’s one of my top favorites. I absolutely hated the ending tho,, just awful. And although I actually really like The Conners, I really miss Roseanne
@@Mr.EmeraldTheGreen my lovely parents bought me the complete box set a few years back and holy crap I watch the heck out of it
Hyper_ Ent
I know right?? When the DVDS first came out, in 2002, I went NUTS!! I watch all the reruns every time I see them on TV, or on RUclips,,, and I always watch the Halloween and XMas and Thanksgiving episodes during the holidays! How do you like The Conners?
My parents looked so much like Dan and Roseanne back then! And...I hate to admit it...but I lived my teen years as Becky Conner. *giggle*
Ya for real l watched this show all the time I'm now 38!!!! Lol good day everyone
"Was Darlene an accident?...."No, Darlene was a disaster." That's the one that got me LOL
Oh yes, that's the best part 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao
I have so much to say on that but I won’t.😀
Lol ya I always loved his Dan delivered that line, zero hesitation.
I smoke when I was 17 I didn't get caught
She was real. No fake pearls and heels. Real American mom
She reminds me of my mom
Dear roseanne i love your show u n the golden girls make my day 💖
Glitter n seequence 👙💟💟💟
I wanted to be one of the kids at the table but don't know if I was more Beck y or Darlene xo ❤️
Lol or dj
The Conner's isn't as funny as Roseanne was. She was the heart of the show.❤
The reason lies in the differing caliber of the writers between the current iteration and the original production of the show. The present writers lack the distinct comedic prowess that characterized the original creators. During my viewings of Roseanne, I would find myself chuckling intensively, often utilizing the commercial breaks to regain my composure just to continue laughing when the show resumed. Reflecting on my preferred television lineup from that era, it was dominated by 1. Roseanne, 2. Family Ties, and 3. Married... with Children. These shows boasted some of the most adept humorists of the 80s. In contrast, the contemporary writers fall significantly short in capturing that essence.
I agree the Conners isn’t good at all because Roseanne was kicked off the show
@@jodimcdaniel7224that and its now all politics and opinions and not what Roseanne was originally about at all.
@@henrynegro8397 exactly
The show went bad when Roseanne was still on it. It went bad during its first run. It wasn’t terrible but it lost what made it great in the last few seasons.
“An accident is something that if he had to do it over again you wouldn’t but a surprise is something you didn’t even know you wanted until you got it”
Love this!
That's just PERFECT!!!! I'm going to use that on my kids if they ever ask.
My youngest asked me the same thing. And I remembered this response.
"Was Darlene an accident?" "No, Darlene was a disaster."
Ya my farther my uncle n my grandma god lord jesus christ but i wouldnt do that over again including my miserable aunt n cousin
Its not an accident or supurise its a get me the fuck out of this whole before my head really does spin
Nothing like good old fashioned Roseanne. I've watched every single episode and it never gets old.
The first 5 seasons of this show have to be one of the best sitcoms of all time. Roseanne dropping 1 liners left and right. And a brilliant supporting cast.
ABSOLUTELY!!!! 🙌🏽😁🙌🏽
This show and Roseanne’s sense of humor *NEVER* gets old!
John and Roseanne's chemistry was magic
The most realistic sitcom of all time
When the kids were young those were the best years
Totally agree.
Yeah then dj became a lil nerd, darlene became the embodiment of depression and becky, I mean its like she was a whole different person! (😂)
I have to admit, the last 2 seasons really did suck. When they won the lottery that's when it got stranger and fake for me. But I will always love this show. I have the whole show on a DVD collection. ❤
the early episodes of roseanne are hilarious, one of the funniest shows ever
Dan Conner was always my dream guy🤣
When Dan and Roseanne were gonna embarrass Becky at the bowling alley...the expression she had on her face!! The fear was real, dude. ^_^
I’m about 2 years younger then Becky I remember watching that as a teenager thinking I’m glad my parents didn’t do that. 🤣
I grew up in lower middle class Illinois and this show was literally a reflection of my family and life on television. Now I look back on it, it was bizarre af. But that realism is what made Rosanne so amazing.
I agree. Roseanne had a similar upbringing and she told the writers to change A LOT, to make it what she wanted. She was also really a producer of the show.
I always thought it was so sweet when DJ asked “was I an accident?”
My oldest son told my youngest son that he was accident. I used Roseanne's explanation. Then I grounded my oldest son🤣
My brother passed me once saying “you’re adopted” and I fired right back with “you’re a mistake”!
I miss this show 😭
"Don't mess with the master Darlene" 😂
She was always my favorite
One of the best is when Roseanne catches Becky with the older boy outside at the garage.
Becky: "It's not your business mother."
Roseanne: "It is when I catch you sneaking outside to meet a boy I'd leave your father for."
Darlene: "They call him to tongue bandit."
Dan walks in: "Who's the tongue bandit"?
Roseanne: "You are honey."
Lol, love this show
The original Roseanne show to me is the best realistic family sitcom I've ever seen.
John Goodman and her were perfect as a struggling down to earth blue collar couple just trying to get by..
The relationship between Becky and Darlene was as authentic as two sisters could have. Arguing, shouting, making fun of each other and talking about boys and school stuff, puberty issues, first dates...they covered it all.
I couldn't see any acting, (when actors don't sound like they are reading off and relying on the script to give their characters a personality, that to me is great acting)
it sounded and felt like genuine emotions when they spoke...it was like listening in on a real family's life...with very witty humor..
Aunt Jacky had her issues with insecurities and choosing bad dates, being at their house to much and irritating Dan. Often hilarious that tension...
The relationship between Jacky and Roseanne was complicated but believable as sisters that argued, but undoubtedly needed each other.
I loved that family growing up. I still love the early episodes as much as back then.
She was extremely clever, witty, and truthful. Her show pioneered a lot. I respect her tremendously for being bold.
She made a comment on Twitter, I don't give a damn...The Connors without Roseanne was ridiculous. To even think of continuing without her would make me feel betrayed by the actors that were given a stage because of her. That's my take on it.
I love everything about your comment!!! Thank you! And I agree… one dumb Twitter mistake and they grabbed they grabbed the torches!!!
I am insanely obsessed with Roseanne!
Darlene:” Becky… cut… The….. cheese!😂😂😂😂😂
“They’re already calling her “Conner The Bomber.”
The best best most genius show ever!!!!
Everything u said is true especially the very end
That last scene gets me every time!! "We're bound to run into one another"🤣
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

I’m a 36 year old black women that adored this show. Currently, a lot of us are re-watching or watching for the first time so many classics. I remember being so young when this episode came out. I was screaming “thank you” when Roseanne called out DJ’s bullshit.
Intriguing episode all around because Roseanne recognizes her own prejudices at the end.
The balls to air such an episode. This is why this was one of the best sitcoms on television imo.
Why do you need to announce your skin colour
@@sametoyoutoo8509 why do you need to ask the question. It's obvious from her statement why this episode that she's referencing mattered a lot to her. Have you ever heard of blue collar comedy? Why do they have to announce their class? Bc it's important to their experience and it should be important to us to recognize that.
Yeah that was an unforgettable ending to that episode. I like how they left it with Roseanne realizing. People always want to talk about taking responsibility but don't want to. That was a responsible episode
Yes. I was glad, in the 80s, a show like this was on. I was raising my daughter in a mixed neighborhood, attending a city school, wanted her to grow up in the real world. She's such a beautiful person today.
This show was a straight up masterpiece
The character Roseanne was such a damn good mom. She'd interact with each kid differently in ways specific to them with sarcasm and humor while also being truly loving.
Also, the relationship she had with Dan was such a great mix of love, tension, and raw real emotion. It also never seemed like Roseanne and John Goodman were acting with such insane chemistry and realism together.
"Was Darlene an accident?...."No, Darlene was a disaster."
Perfection.
What was especially great with this show was how they highlight pretty much every hypocrisy nearly every parent has to face. And then deals with the situation pretty bluntly with no bandaid.
It basically told every parent: you’re not perfect and stop trying to be. Shit happens no matter what you do.
“We’re going to wizard world.. for the whole weekend!”
“Are mom and dad going?”
“No”
“YES!”
Who's binge-watching while quarantining?
I did
I am lol
This will always be my favorite. Real crap, not this fake it to make it stuff. Real world issues in the blue collar life
💯
I knew that was Alyson Hannigan at 5:08. 30 years may have past, but that smile is still the same.
I always had a crush on Dan, even as a kid & i still do❤️
The smoking thing kinda works or it did for me. Got caught smoking a cigarette by my dad when I was 13. He didn't get mad, but took me to the store and bought me a carton of cigarettes and told me to smoke away. As soon as I finished one, he'd suggest another and another...and then I got sick and threw up and had the worst feeling for the rest of the day. I'm 35 now and haven't touched one since.
Smart Father, that's is making a statement. Kudos to your Dad.
@@paulcorda Right? Thought he was nuts back then, but now, being a parent myself made me realize that he was a pro when it came to being a good father.
This method is a hit or miss. But great that it worked out for you
Imagine had you come out of that a chain smoker.
👍👍👍
I have a lot of respect and compassion for Rosanne
God I loved this show. I still watch re-runs all the time.
“Darlene called me a PREVERT”
Youre not a prevert honey. Youre a pervert.
IMO this was the greatest sitcom ever.
that's sad.
@@kcbh24 tell us more about your opinion. what do you think is the best sitcom?
@@kcbh24 Yes really I am curious too cmon lets hear it... 🤔
Shows With A Lot Of Violence The Best. Not Just Dysfunctional Family And Real-Life Issues That Aren't A Lot Of Violence.
Greatest sitcom ever was “All In The Family “ 👍
I really wish that this show is still on.
It is still on but since they killed off Roseanne... it's meh. Bring her back
Unfortunatelly marxists canceled her.
Grew up with this show, miss it, not the same without Roseanne. When it was relaunched in 2018 myself, my spouse and our kids made sure we had the popcorn ready and made it a weekly family night to watch, (almost like it was back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, we didn’t DVR it, we actually sat down as a family with all of us to watch) then they abruptly cancelled it, even my kids won’t watch the new show “The Conner’s” since Roseanne is no longer part of the show. All of the original cast members are great actors/actresses but the show will never be the same with Roseanne not being in the picture.
@@coldfang2360
I feel the same way.
CMT is brave enough to air Rosanna.
The show still on air as re runs on cozi tv
HANDS DOWN...my #1 ALL TIME FAVORITE tv show!!!
IKR! The first show to show poverty.
Pre Lottery era was the best era
I agree. The Lottery ruined this show
That lottery episodes completely changed the show. 2 a horrible show. I wonder what happened there🤦🤦🤦
This was my favorite show growing up.
Real American life. Struggles, kids, money problems, backyard BBQs, laughter & everyone crazy about each other.
the scene where she is begging them not to embarrass her in front of chip and the season 3 scene when we meet mark for the very first time and Roseanne, Dan and Darlene huddle together for a family pose at the door kills me.
Haha yeah the bowling alley is great.
Oh ya I felt Becky's pleas in that scene! My parents (dad especially) would do that to me lol 😆 it's like a rite of passage, our parents embarrassed us and we embarrass our kids!
"Does she pick her nose and eat it?!" 🤣👌
😂😂😂😂
Darlene called me a prevert 😂
We expect u to listen to becky the same way u listen to us lol 💖
DJ: "Mom,am I a prevert?"
Roseanne: "No, honey. You're a pervert."
I remember asking my mom if I was an accident, especially after hearing that my brother was only a few months old when she got pregnant with me. She used a similar explanation that Roseanne did. My mom and dad were planning on having another kid, they just weren’t expecting me so soon.
Makes sense.
Dan ruled
Some of the most underrated lines of this show.
"Oh call the 800 number."
"...we are your 800 number, Becky."
When Bev finds out she's an alcoholic and Darlene says "baking with Drunken Hines."
When Darlene meets Fisher and asks "Aren't you in my science class?" and at the end when Fisher shows up and Bev answers the door and says "Darlene, your boyfriend's here!"
When Dan has to work on his anniversary and he's on the phone and says "can you swing by in a ski mask and drag me off at gunpoint?"
Right before the infamous Auntie Barbara scene Jackie says "I can't call people I'm supposed to be in mourning" and Roseanne says "Then wear a veil over your face when you do it."
When David asks Darlene to choose me or the other guy and she says the other guy and he says "That's right, or me, choose."
When David and Darlene get into a fight and they're setting the table for dinner and Dan keeps saying "it doesn't matter."
When DJ is peaking at Becky and then he does it to Darlene and Becky asks "Why?"
When Dan and Roseanne get into the fight after his heart attack, and David talks to him about marriage and Dan says "You've only been married for 8 days." and David says "Yeah, but to Darlene..."
When Jackie, Fred, and Dan are drunk in the garage and Jackie says "Bev, non alcoholic beverage is in there!"
When Roseanne asks Dan "what did he say" and Dan says "If I remember correctly ouch, ouch, my head."
When Darlene says "George? I thought you hated him" and DJ says "You must be thinking of you."
When Jake says "Craftmatic Adjustable Bev."
When Dan and Roseanne are fighting after his heart attack and he says "At least I put my mom in a psychiatric home instead of letting her run around scaring people!"
What a great show. I'm sure there are dozens of other underrated moments.
Loved how this show was so real! Real people with real problems. Not like today's fake shows where everyone has everything and are in a fake utopia that they call "Reality". Life is tough and this show shows it all.
"You guys are in so much trouble I'm going to make you wish I was never born..."
What episode is that from?
@@Dock76 It's one of the later episodes, when Roseanne and Jackie own The Lunchbox. Darlene has been helping cover up that DJ has been skipping school.
@@Dock76 yo, nice profile pic. Great taste in music :p
@@fayelinae Thanks m8
Hahaha omg #4, I have never forgotten that my whole life and I’m now 31 and I call people preverts and no one gets it hahah THANK YOU!
I loved the ending! I remembered how my parents laughed so hard that last scene.
Roseanne, Bundies, Alf, XFiles, Sopranos, Ally Mc Beal etc those were the 90s!! 😍😍😍😍
Quality parenting right there 👏
This show definitely made my childhood, especially Darlene always skeptical 🤨 like the big sister I would have lol
Loved this show then and now. I've watched it so many times when i need a good laugh, nothing on tv now thats decent. Thanks Roseanne for all the laughs when tv was a joy to watch. Classic.
The earlier seasons are always the best! Even without Aunt Jackie in the list, the core family have their moments! Lol
Hands down my all time favorite show. I grew up watching it and still catch it on Cozi-good life lessons on there. My youngest daughter loves Aunt Jackie
7.10 oh we'd never blow you up we'd never get you out of the furniture. ☺️☺️☺️ Love Dan and Roseanne Connor's
Great show at a great time in life. One of the rare ones that are great for a laugh every episode.
The prevert... was always my favorite...instill laugh at that one
This show made my childhood so special ❤
This show was my childhood 💕
I was around the same age a becky when this show came out. I watched it avidly. Lately I have been rewatching it, now that my 2 daughters are around the same ages as becky and Darlene, and I can't believe what great parents these are.
I love you Roseanne. ❤️❤️❤️💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Roseanne is the real deal. There's no show without Rosie. Imho.
i have always loved this show
Best family comedy show ever !!!!!
"becky, you're gonna find that when grown ups drink.. it's usually for the wrong reasons."
"well, then what are the right reasons?"

@Nope Nope Jesus Christ, are you okay? This comment annoyed you enough to insult a stranger? Go outside and get some fresh air.
I love this show, I used to sneak and watch it when I was a child 😳🤪
SO GOOD SEEN ROSANNE AGAIN, I MISSED HER SHOWS
"Roseanne" was a great show and I'm thankful that I can still watch it on "Cozi" TV!
The early to mid seasons are the best! Darlene’s insults to Becky, DJ and former next door neighbor Molly(Danielle Harris) we’re hilarious. Recommend to anyone with Amazon Prime streaming to watch it while it’s still on there!
I love Roseanne
“You just told me” the best lol 🤣
6:12 "No hunny you're not a PREvert. You're a PERVERT." LMFAO
Love Roseanne!
"Maybe we can get a picture of her standing next to the report card!"
The fact that they even let darlene take one puff of the cigarette for the scene would never fly today
I miss Roseanne in the reboot, she is an awesome comedian.
Boy, did I drop the parenting ball!🤣😂
OMGsh. This was GOLD! Thank you!
I love Roseanne through my whole childhood I'm a grown woman now
Isnt that the most perfect B lol and I love how she explained the difference between a surprise and an accident
Still love this show.
Best part was number 1 Dan killed it
JOURNEY1995 Happens. Happens
Shit had me dying🤣🤣
That show was funny as as hell. And as real as All in the family. Two shows that were realistic
I remember the bowling alley episode, but my favorite scene from that is when Roseanne threatened to dance and embarrass Darlene until she spilled the beans. Roseanne was the ultimate 80s mom :)
Yeah it was really good
Two of my several kids seemed to have a problem around their 12th birthday about the fact that they were raised by two dads and begged us not to show up at the parents reunion at school , because they were embarrassed not to have a father and a mother like the other kids. I promised them that they didn't have to worry and that they could pick the one of us they wanted go to the reunion as their dad. They chose my husband. That was such a wrong choice because my husband is Japanese and would have looked great in a dress with a wig, while i am Scandinavian 6'6 tall and quite hairy. I asked the kids which mother they wished they had answered in prolifix detail, we asked a drag queen friend to come and turn me into Bree Van de Kampf. I looked absolutely ridiculous with that yellow chemisier, grey dress and purple cardigan, and heels of course, and red hair is definitely not my colour. But the kids got the message and learned their lesson.
Dan was the heart of the show
