The best prank of all was when Roseanne pretended to be on the phone to her mother inviting her to come and stay and Dan was in a mad panic, until she revealed the truth saying "The Master" and Dan fell to his knees to pay homage. lol
I remember that! Roseanne was "telling" her mother about being pregnant again AND inviting her mother to come stay with them. It was great.

@Jenn Lovesbert It's one thing when All in the Family changed to Archie Bunker's Place and Edith was killed off as the actress wanted to move on, like Mike and Gloria the characters also moved on. Roseanne, the actress NEVER moved on. The character was UNJUSTLY written off. To take what was said to a friend of Obama's that took it about as seriously as this BLM BS propaganda is going way too far. The Connors are a FAILURE and sooner they get rid of it, the better. I rather watch the Walker rewrite over the Connors.

The only reasons _The Connors_ is still on the are is the COVID and that in order to placate the rest of the cast, they promised them what the CW did with some of their shows.. which was a certain number of seasons to insure the network got their money's worth because they still had to pay on the contracts. The show is horrible, and Big Tech is probably helping to fudge the ratings as well.

The Kathy prank is always my hands-down favorite 🤣 I honestly wish they kept her on the show longer. She was such a perfect opposite to the Conners and showed so much potential for great development.

This is the epitome of pre internet life. Simple, everyone knew the same jokes and shows so we all were on the same page. Wholesome and clever. Never will it be this again. Glad I was an 80s kid.

What a great f’n show!!! Original Rosanne will stand thru time as a great comedy show!! It’s not the same without her on reboot!!! She deserves so much more acknowledgement as a comedian and shows creator!!!!!

The original Roseanne show to me is the best realistic family sitcom I've ever seen.
John Goodman and her were perfect as a struggling down to earth blue collar couple just trying to get by..
The relationship between Becky and Darlene was as authentic as two sisters could have. Arguing, shouting, making fun of each other and talking about boys and school stuff, puberty issues, first dates...they covered it all.
I couldn't see any acting, (when actors don't sound like they are reading off and relying on the script to give their characters a personality, that to me is great acting)
it sounded and felt like genuine emotions when they spoke...it was like listening in on a real family's life...with very witty humor..
Aunt Jacky had her issues with insecurities and choosing bad dates, being at their house to much and irritating Dan. Often hilarious that tension...
The relationship between Jacky and Roseanne was complicated but believable as sisters that argued, but undoubtedly needed each other.
I loved that family growing up. I still love the early episodes as much as back then.
She was extremely clever, witty, and truthful. Her show pioneered a lot. I respect her tremendously for being bold.
She made a comment on Twitter, I don't give a damn...The Connors without Roseanne was ridiculous. To even think of continuing without her would make me feel betrayed by the actors that were given a stage because of her. That's my take on it.
Absolutely correct..andnit was a show that reflected very much the real life going on around us but made us be able to laugh about it all for half an hour til we all had to wake up to the reality that it was a reflecti9nnof our lives

I remembered parts of this in my childhood. It’d be the the only thing to watch until Power Rangers would play next but my mom would tell me to do something for her real quick. I realized she did this so I wouldn’t get traumatized.

The best prank was when they had a successful reboot and they all stabbed Roseanne in the back , fired her and then killed her off her own show and changed the name to the Connors! Sending Roseanne into a terrible nervous breakdown!

COZI, please start presenting the show in its original aspect ratio. When you enlarge the center to fill the edges of the modern aspect ratio, too much picture material is lost from the top and bottom of the scene. I watch the show on CMT. They know to show it correctly.
My favorite episode is with the one with Kathy, where she sees Roseanne pretending to kill Dan and then the said Happy Halloween! Kathy says you are horrible, horrible, horrible people!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
