I think her best moment acting wise is not a funny moment but the time she tells Roseanne Fisher has been hitting her. Its the raw emotion of the part she delivers.

Yes that episode is a classic one for me. Roseanne told Dan what fisher did, and he just grabbed his coat. She might have been a headache for Dan but he was not about to let that happen 😕.

When I tried out for community theater for the first time a few years ago, Laurie Metcalf was my inspiration for the way I portrayed my character during the audition process. I studied her mannerisms, facial expressions, body language and line delivery, and I actually got the part and the play was a success. It was great getting those laughs from the audience each night, and being able to refer to Laurie's acting for guidance felt like having a gold standard playbook for the craft. Thank you, Laurie, for the years of entertainment, and for showing all of us how it's done.

I can watch and re-watch any episode of I Love Lucy, but my favorites are "Building a Bar-B-Q", "Lucy Does a Commercial" ("Vitameatavegamin"), "Lucy Gets in Pictures" (lands the part of a showgirl in a movie and can't walk down the stairs without falling over because of the head-dress she has to wear that's as big as she is, lmao), "Lucy and the Loving Cup", & the one where she misses the ship and has to have the helicopter lower her onto the ship. The one I found _most_ hilarious was the one where they stop at the road-side diner that's too close to the rail-road tracks. That one had me dying laughing, lmao. 😂🤣😂🤣😂

She was just a great character all around. All the funny bits but her being beaten up by her boyfriend and the whole snowball effect that ended up with Dan in jail with a bucket of chicken and Roseanne helping Jackie move out (and destroy a TV) was so ballsy for a TV show and so devastatingly real. I also loved! the Jackie trucker storyline. Her whole living switching from job to job proved to me that a career isn’t the only path in life. Still wanna be a trucker, if I’m being honest.

I couldn't tell you. I refuse to watch. I watched 1 episode of the first reboot season and I stopped...which I'm glad I did. Everybody looks like turkeys, I can't handle seeing John Goodman look deflated and I didn't care for the actor that portrays the boy who wears dresses. He over acts and it bothers me. It doesn't seem genuine. I will stick with my old Roseanne and watch them over and over and over again but the newer seasons I have no desire to watch...especially knowing that they make Roseanne die from an opioid overdose and then Dan goes after the neighbor over it...nope. That's some 2020 drama I can do without. They were always a loving, supportive family to me and they will always remain that way in my mind. What they did to Roseanne a few years ago was absolutely unreal and I wish Roseanne would come to Canada and create a show here. We're all for personal opinion and we won't condemn her for having a thought while on medication, that's outside the box. We certainly would never do to her what the USA did. You were ready to hang her for making a comment that you didn't like. Hey America, we know that you never do anything wrong but please get the hell over yourselves.
