Absolutely. The times at which they are finishing those workouts are inhuman. A lot of amateurs could probably handle the volume but not the intensity. Meaning they could complete the workout but not efficiently or fast enough. To be a pro in that sport you have to be on a variety of drugs to help with recovery because of how intense the sessions are. Most humans can not casually clean 365lbs, deadlift 500, do a Murph in under 35 mins etc Or have a two hour massage every night and drink electrolytes and 400g of protein on a 24 hour cycle indefinitely combined with 10 hours of sleep a night. Even then given the amount of volume at a competitive CrossFit level I still doubt you could do it without drugs
Thank you for your upload Brother I always super appreciate your content I am always glad as it consolidates my own research & understanding with a sometimes new perspective! One thing that is a shame to see is that both yourself & the crossfit athletes do not know how to row on the erg. I was trained by Olympic coxswain Known to me as Woody & loved & respected by his charges so much that they bought him a DB9 as a present! Woody taught me to drive from the ball of your foot through the legs, once legs are straight you begin pulling with the arms, when the arms are almost bent you lean back just a mm (small amount) then you reverse this, sit-up, arms straight & legs are STILL STRAIGHT no you can bend legs back to start otherwise your power platform is not stable & energy dissipates into the ambient environment namely the AIR not the water or erg platform with leverage ergo you lose leverage anchor point & ergo power to propel to the finish line! Peace & Love!!!
Pro Crossfitters are also bang on every available PED they can get their hands on to boost performance to give them the edge over competition! So lots of Anabolic Steroids, HGH, Ephedrine, Clenbuterol, every Peptide and SARM that applies etc etc etc. I`d say that Crossfit athletes could well challenge Pro Cyclists for the highest amount of PEDs used!
Here are another 3 components that are Crossfit 1. High rate of PEDs 2. High rate of injury 3. High rate of extreme poor and technically dangerous technique .
And yet far less injury than soccer and other non-contact sports, and significantly better strength and fitness results than any other fitness methodology
@@harrymc523 the number of soccer players is orders of magnitude greater than the number of crossfitters though so this really depends. You'll need to post a source for your info especially for number of injuries relative to the population size of players.
And in all seriousness, let’s not forget that most of the males are about 5’9. That’s not a knock on being under 6 feet tall but fact of the matter is, it is easier to look muscled.
There was a woman at the gym I went to who competed in Crossfit games and her training regime was very conventional (ie a consistent set of exercises, instead of WODs, and done in sets of 10ish instead of AMRAP). CrossFit style training seems to have lots of intensity but not enough consistency. And that might lead to it causing more injuries than conventional training.
It’s one of those sports like taekwondo and karate. There are more fakes than legit gyms. And at the beginners level it can be “cringey” but at the advanced level is hardcore.
@@billking8843 the exercises have some effect too because you mostly build whatever muscles you train but the amount of muscle they build is because of the juice
Every time there’s someone explaining how people train there’s the majority who barely does any kind of physical exercise never strive towards his best version but are the first ones to talk about PEDs , well with or without you still have to put the effort in and still need the discipline and sacrifice to achieve your best regardless of what they are using, so until you been in their shoes you should mind your business, why so much envy and hate?
Coordination is critical, and it spikes your heart rate from one hand, but also, you can only dominate the movement if you know how to engage your core and hip, lats shoulder, and back well. Let's say that it's a rhythmic movement that engages many muscle groups. At the same time, there is a strength part in a Crossfit session and then the WOD part. Generally, in the strength part, we use a lot of Strict pull-ups and weighted pull-ups for strength reasons, while in WODs, you use those kipping variations to increase volume and fulfill the high-intensity workouts.
Efficiency. Getting your chin over the bar,or chest to the bar, as easy as possible using your lower body to assist you. Benefits: creates muscular endurance in your shoulders, arms, and grip. Keeps your intensity up in the workout. While these butterfly and kipping pull-ups are done in high-intensity workouts. Strict pull-ups are done in accessory work. All of these ignorant people don’t realize that strict and weighted pull-ups are very often done in crossfit gyms. A good crossfit coach wouldn’t allow their members to even attempt butterfly pull-ups w/o the prerequisite of them doing at least 5 or more strict pull-ups first. Strict pull-ups first, then kipping, then butterfly. I’ve never had anyone injure their shoulders due to butterfly pull-ups.
Go watch Glassman's original Crossfit seminars. Kipping pull-ups were never meant to be done like they're done in calisthenics. Crossfit is about increasing your work capacity, which is force over distance over time. Crossfit is trying to produce an entirely different adaptation than isolation exercises.
Well we know cardio as well as conditioning can build work capacity and strength is an expression of force over distance over time so even though you don't get much strength while in a hypertrophy range, and sometimes they go outside of it, you still build the mononucleosi as well as plenty of fibrous-peak-flexing, since most of the movements they do are concentric dominated
so...they powerlift and condition at the same time? so they're...somehow bodybuilding...for strength? and fitness? at the same time? so they're insane. like, clinically. got it
Those girls (not talking about directly about the girls on this video) with big waist are ALL on steroids and other stuff. Exercises itself can't do that. Anyway, some of them has freaking beastly huge physiques.
In my opinion, (did crossfit for 4 years) its the "prison effect". They have an environment to naturally boost their testosterone, constantly being pushed to their limits in training with peers.
No one disagrees that they are jacked and athletic but when i see those ridicilous kipping pullups i switch channel immediately. How about instead 21 so called pullups they do 10 strict pullups. Perfect form。
I am novice at CF, but I love it. I asked my coach exactly that the other day, if I could switch 21 kipping pull-ups with 10 strict, but I think he wants me to learn the movement first
The girls are jacked!! I wouldn’t say the dudes are jacked. The guys look like every dude between 190-220 lbs that lift serious. I hear a lot of steroid comments, although most people I train that use steroids are your normal every day gym goer not the amateur or professional athletes.
However there is predominance - *e.g* if a training is predominantly metabolic it can't generate too much muscle damage and/or mechanical tension and the same for the others - like a radar chart where one of the three increases the others diminish, even Crossfit trying to increase all of them at the same time. So, one of the most important things in Crossfit is nutrition. Some of Crossfiters are jacked due to a constant deficit (peaks and valleys) and/or balanced caloric intake, which makes them jacked and not big (as much of the protein synthesis they have is for recovery instead of hypertrophy). Just thoughts :D
The CrossFit women impress me the men no. Probably enough anavar for a country at a girls event. I’m not putting nobody down I’ve done peds for 20 yrs.

I didn't watch the video, the answer is steroids, anyone who tries to train like that without steroids will end up ill/injured.
Most humans can not casually clean 365lbs, deadlift 500, do a Murph in under 35 mins etc
Or have a two hour massage every night and drink electrolytes and 400g of protein on a 24 hour cycle indefinitely combined with 10 hours of sleep a night. Even then given the amount of volume at a competitive CrossFit level I still doubt you could do it without drugs
Gear….gear…gear….gear….gear….gear
"Genetics, hard training, diet and ALOT of gear. Question answered." this comment wins
A clean diet, progressive overload, the right supplements, and consistency. You're welcome.
Steroid, Steroid, diet and training.
Crossfitters always look like literal action figures that I´ve been collecting as a kid.
Just hard trenning, testing their limits, anavar giving up
Never gets old
Thank you for your upload Brother I always super appreciate your content I am always glad as it consolidates my own research & understanding with a sometimes new perspective!
So many accusations of this in the comments, but can you point us to your source?
Here are another 3 components that are Crossfit
1. High rate of PEDs
2. High rate of injury
@@chopwet pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28253059/. Here is one of several. "Comparable or lower". I'd like to see sources for any of the claims the OP made
It's not 2010 anymore. Crossfiters know how to lift and do proper pullups (They kip in WODs but train strict in their strength segments)
@@harrymc523soccer players don't get injured during their training, crossfitters do
Clean reps, her posture while pulling up is awesome.
Seeing girl on the left do a pull up made me laugh so hard 😂
A lot of people making excuses. If you eat right and you eat enough. And FINISH your workout you WILL get jacked
Watch any crossfit games from five years ago..now watch last years. Notice any difference?...the steroids are gone.. there I answered your question
seems all roads lead back to CrossFit and Arnold
Cross Fit gets you in great shape but many of my friends who are into it have also been seriously injured due to the intensity!
And in all seriousness, let’s not forget that most of the males are about 5’9. That’s not a knock on being under 6 feet tall but fact of the matter is, it is easier to look muscled.
Becas=use top crossfitters don't get good at crossfit by doing crossfit workouts
They must have some sort of secret gear that no one else knows about... something!
My family are farmers, living at the feet of mountain, their daily activity is basically grunt work and climbing up and down..they are CHISSLED
I'd like to know what special supplements do crossfitters take cuz they too beefy
Is it special supplements or the particular exercises? They tend to get a more blocky build with a thick waist.
@@billking8843 the exercises have some effect too because you mostly build whatever muscles you train but the amount of muscle they build is because of the juice
Anavar 😂
I give u the secrecy that is testosterone
Hard work and high caloric intake
Watching crossfitters do "pull-ups" is the funniest thing in the world, lmao
I'm a strong man competitor.. I'm jacked..and I never get injured..
Seriously we're talking about CF as a a way to maximize hypertrophy?
I know we all love to clown on the butterfly pull-ups but are there any actual benefits to them or is it really just bad form
they hurt my shoulder, but there does seem to be a cardio effect on them, they pitch it as a compound movement
Snapping shoulders... check

Crossfit slaps research in the face when it comes to hypertrophy. Eat it, Schoenfeld
Why are crossfitters so jacked? Same reason a lot of bodybuilders are… lots of juice. Loads and loads of juice.
“Im a fast rock” 😂😂😂
Well we know cardio as well as conditioning can build work capacity and strength is an expression of force over distance over time so even though you don't get much strength while in a hypertrophy range, and sometimes they go outside of it, you still build the mononucleosi as well as plenty of fibrous-peak-flexing, since most of the movements they do are concentric dominated
Bate. It’s the gear. ⚙️
so...they powerlift and condition at the same time? so they're...somehow bodybuilding...for strength? and fitness? at the same time? so they're insane. like, clinically. got it
Meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruits, little starch, no suger, aka that Performance Enhancing Diet or PED for short 😉
You aren't getting that jacked on a lower carb diet. They guys/girls are pounding white rice every single day.
Also with all that overtraining, has the highest number of body damage and injuries to date than any other sport.
CrossFitters are jacked because they are natural.
Do they take gear?
****supernatural started playing****
Which "juice" are all of these CrossFitters on? Orange juice? Cranberry juice? Or is this special lingo for something else?
So Jake Douglas is 100% natural?
people at my gym have looked the same for the past 3 years doing crossfit, terrible physiques. Gear...gear is what these pros use.
I dunno man Calisthenics athletes got a insane physique as well stating cross fitters got the best one across the world is a bit much :P
When Jennifer Anniston started crossfit?:)
This is just a commercial to get people to buy an app
Those girls (not talking about directly about the girls on this video) with big waist are ALL on steroids and other stuff. Exercises itself can't do that. Anyway, some of them has freaking beastly huge physiques.
Didn’t watch video, but steroids.
Question answered
In my opinion, (did crossfit for 4 years) its the "prison effect". They have an environment to naturally boost their testosterone, constantly being pushed to their limits in training with peers.
No one disagrees that they are jacked and athletic but when i see those ridicilous kipping pullups i switch channel immediately. How about instead 21 so called pullups they do 10 strict pullups. Perfect form。
I am novice at CF, but I love it. I asked my coach exactly that the other day, if I could switch 21 kipping pull-ups with 10 strict, but I think he wants me to learn the movement first
@@maltbiscuit9995 kipping pull-ups form has nothing to do with proper pull up form.
It's simple. They train really hard and at some point they start using steroids, just like the whole fitness inustry.
The girls are jacked!! I wouldn’t say the dudes are jacked. The guys look like every dude between 190-220 lbs that lift serious. I hear a lot of steroid comments, although most people I train that use steroids are your normal every day gym goer not the amateur or professional athletes.
Lol i knew there'll be negativity in the comment section.
Both ladies are inspirations in my eyes - tho I'm not totally wild about those "pull ups"
Did he mention the gear at all ?
Pull-ups have left the chat…
The CrossFit women impress me the men no. Probably enough anavar for a country at a girls event. I’m not putting nobody down I’ve done peds for 20 yrs.
Please tell the people the whole truth… yes hard work and yes gear
Who is in the thumbnail?
Crossfitter: They hate us because they ain’t us
Technically true. To not hate them you have to be crossfitter yourself.
Clearly GH voice
YT comments never disappoint 😂😂😂
I unsubscribed when he said they do full ROM 🤦🏻♂
Not the “most immaculate physiques”. This is embarrassing almost from beginning to end.
yall do full range of motion on everything except pull ups. just wondering why?
@@Polar_Bear_Peteso do pullup regressions instead for volume 🤔
Everyone squatting on the video has their knees collapsing inwards that’s a big no no leads to injury
I don't understand this. Basically what they are doing is cardio. The only lifting is see are deadlifts and squats. I'm confused.
They're taking steroids. You can take steroids and do nothing and still make a lot more muscle than some people that are training.
No one ever talks about gear. These ladies don’t look it but most are. The body can’t recover at the capacity of their training.
Juice and the fact that they don't really train the way crossfit preaches.
