It kind of feels like Joe is starting to go down the same path as Spoony. Vlogs instead of actual reviews. Don't get me wrong Joe, love your vlog style videos, but I personally much prefer a bit of polish and editing. The last movie review I really enjoyed watching was your review of Dredd.
I love Other Joe, and he's hilarious, I have no idea who Delrith is and....yeah. But having all these other people involved is more of distraction than anything in my opinion. I enjoy your solo reviews where it feels like you're sitting down and actually talking to us, your viewers, rather than feeling like I'm a 3rd wheel to a conversation you're having with someone else, if that makes sense.
I'm not one of those types that feels entitled to a certain style of video. It's your channel and your livelihood, and you should make the kind of videos you enjoy. Otherwise you won't want to make videos. I know how that feels.
Anyway, that's just my point of view. Keep up the good work Joe.

The problem with both films is that they tried focusing on 47 himself. You SHOULD focus on the cop pursuing him, letting us think he's the bad guy as he kills a well loved industrialist, or something. Then it turns out the guy was the head of a child porn ring seeking to expand into weapons trafficking, specifically bio weapons. So now the fed goes international, hunting 47, until he finds out 47 is the good guy here, and they work together, with 47 saving the fed's life. 47, upon a second viewing, is there throughout the whole film, talking to receptionists, walking around, as one of the other feds, etc., and only later does the fed recognise him. There, a better hitman movie.

tyrongkojy I like your idea about 47 not being the center of the movie, but your idea for the badguy is way over the top. To make a good villian you have to make them believable and somehow likeable. Making the villian involved in child porn would be like making Darth Vader a rapist.
In general a Hitman movie should be more about silent assassinations: making plans and see them work out (like the oceans movies for example), also i really dislike "untouchable" nearly invincible protagonists, yeah they may be pretty good at what they're doing but if you see no harm done to them there is way less tension as well. "No country for old man" did a very good job at depicting the assassin/hired murderer (Anton Chigurgh, this guy with the funny haircut) as a total badass who still wasnt invincible. I have to admit that this is also how i would imagine Agent 47 should be.
tyrongkojy Yeah it fits for the game, but theres the problem: some things have to be different to work for a movie. Also pedos are just something no one likes to watch, not even as a plot device for the villian, thats why those kind of villians are so rare in those kind of movies which dont aim to make the audience uncomfortable.
Another, more practical point which works against a "pedo-theme": you need child actors and if there is one rule, its this: the lesser the better ;-)

As a movie on its own, it may have been fine, but as a movie meant to reflect the hitman game franchise, it was terrible.

Timothy Olyphant. The first Hitman was much better. It had good action scenes, Timothy is a badass hitman that is realistic and not doing weird ass moves like the one in this movie seems to do, and the plot twist wasn't that bad. And Delrith, no, this hitman was NOT bigger than Timothy. They are about the same. And you can't say, "I don't remember anything about the first movie except that they fucked it up." Your credibility goes down.

I've been getting more and more into Hitman lately, and I think it would be great to have Corey Stoll or Mark Strong as 47. Have it be like an anthology, a series of contracts with an underlying conspiracy storyline, revealed through each of the hits.
Each hit is separated by a title card with the target's name, and a short overview by Diana.

Yo, I kinda liked the Timothy (Olyphant?) hitman movie. Story was contrived, but the plot holes didn't shake the car ride. Action scenes were simple and showed the skill of 47, and plenty of well written dialogue and comic relief from the Interpol and KGB characters.
Nick Rhodes Yeah, I remember liking it too. It wasn't particularly good as a Hitman movie, but it was fun to watch as a general action movie and had a decent story/action balance. As others have mentioned in the comments, I think maybe John Wick is the closest I've seen to what a Hitman movie should be.

Great review. One nitpick: why is the audio so quiet? It's at the loudest point 20% lower than my other sound sources. Nothing to bad but you might want to look into it :)

At the ending, when nr. 48 looked like nr. 47, that was actually full according to lore. I mean, they are all clones, no? They are supposed to look like eachother. To be honest, 48 looked more like the Hitman we know from the games in the movie, as he was actually bald. For the rest, yeah. I agree that most stuff in the movie had things that broke the scene, like bad guy aim, even missing when 47 was just walking. And he got shot at the end in the back, catching a bullet for his sister, and.. you saw him get hit, but.. he just shrugs it off? I mean, he does that too in the games, but.. come on. xD

Yep. The original game explained that theyre just advanced clones. Theres even a mission where you kill your 'father' and his facility is full of 47 lookalikes. 47 is simply one of many, if not at least a good handful.

I am very happy to see joe reviews movies too and warning us.
Hitman should not be a high octane action movie. It should be more like a thriller along the lines of the Bourne movies. Grounded in reality, uses his intelligence to plan things out and he is very much human, mind you the pinnacle of what a person can be and maybe just slightly above but still human that can be hurt, not a fucking superhero. The whole point of the Hitman games is to be sneaky and not kill anyone besides the targets. Plus it's a movie, show don't tell, show what it was like while growing up in the training facility where Dr Ort Meyer created 47 and just make the plot about 47 and not throw in a useless female interest that is not needed. Hell if you want a woman involved DIANA!! his fucking handler

Paul Walker was previously attached to play the lead role in this film before his sudden death in late November 2013.
There is a direct reference to the video game franchise made in one brief scene where a yellow rubber duck is seen floating in a bathtub along with a partially submerged toaster.
The pose Agent 47 makes while exiting an elevator early in the film by facing forward and crossing his arm over his chest while holding his pistol is reminiscent of signature promotional images used throughout the Hitman video game franchise but the "blood on the sleeve" is from a cover of Hitman: Absolution.
Seen in the trailer is Agent 47 wearing the uniform of a dispatched police officer as a disguise to aid his escape, a staple of the Hitman games.
In the month's prior to the movie's release, 20th Century Fox and IGN Entertainment launched a social media campaign in order to find Hitman Agents 1 through 46. I read an interview that Gameinformer had with the director the guy who played 47. The director said that this was supposed to be an entirely different lore from the games, but both he and 47's actor played through all the hitman games to get an idea of who 47 is and how the games were written. Make of that what you will because I've never played a Hitman game and didn't see this movie.

People keep complaining about how the "big guy" adds nothing to the show but he adds just as much as Other Joe. Angry Joe is the only one who's really talking.
In the end when Agent 48 is shown if they HAD to show another Agent 47 like clone then it should have been the Timothy Olyphant....the man who played Agent 47 in the 2007 Hitman movie.
what separates one Agent from another if they are fighting one another? i think it would be experience and to have a OLDER, more experienced Agent out to kill 47 would be neat.
I liked this movie in my opinion it was a little bit better than Deadpool.

Isnt agent 48 already dead in the videogame series? I think agent 48 was even the main reason why Hitman Contracts started in a asylum, because Dr. Orth-Meyer wanted 48 to eliminate 47, just like 47 eliminated all other scientists involved in this whole mess.. But, what a surprise, 47 eliminated all of them alone, including agent 48. Did I missunderstand something or is that it?
And I thought Joe played the Hitman games? I mean its always been very clear that every agent looks the same, as you can see in Codename 47 and Contracts
I guess we can expect a Call of Duty movie next. No point questioning hollywood now
